Ruined Christmas Eve We had made a 6 pm reservation for 12/24 weeks beforehand. When we arrived, we were told our table was a 30 minute wait. Okay. We waited. Long story short, we were seated 90 minutes later, and we only got our appetizers and drinks after another hour+ wait. After 2 hours and 50 minutes at the restaurant, we paid our check after never receiving our dinner entrees. Management only offered to comp one drink on our three person bill. Our waitress was lovely and clearly felt bad about the situation. Pretty unfortunate situation but after this it's apparent this restaurant has significant management/staffing issues. Food was ready early, was tasty (takeout) and hosts were very friendly. I'd like to note that the vegetable fried rice description does not mention broccoli or mushrooms, and instead online gives you the option to add those, not leave them out. I did not select these, yet had to throw out a good amount of broccoli and mushrooms mixed in. If I was ordering this for a child, there's a chance they wouldn't even touch the rice after seeing those mixed in. If these always come in the vegetable fried rice, please include that in the description and make it more obvious during online ordering. I have been to PF Chang's all over the country, and while I don't expect authentic Chinese food, it has consistently been good quality food and the service has always been great. That was certainly not the case at the Chesterfield location. Took my mom and some of our family for her birthday. The server was mediocre and had to be asked for things several times (water, sambal, wonton strips, refills) and disappeared multiple times. We still had empty appetizer plates sitting in front of us when our mains arrived, which had clearly sat in QC for some time before coming to the table because the food was luke warm at best. Some of this could be understandable if the restaurant had been super busy, but it wasn't. I don't even entirely blame our server who was young, but the leadership at this location for the poor execution of the staff and clear lack of motivation. If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend trying another PFC location or a different restaurant all together. read more

We had dinner on a Sunday and were able to sit immediately; there was no wait and plenty of open tables. Our server was friendly. The kitchen was very slow. It took over 30 min for our food to come out. Luckily though, the manager came by to check on us and even offered us a free order of lettuce wraps while we waited. Why does the St Louis County Health Department have a sign in your bathroom that ask employees to use warm water when washing their hands when you have no warm water coming out of the tap from the bathroom faucet? Why are we seated at a table near a wall that divides our table from the table next to it, is there so much dust that my eyes start to itch? Why does your hostess remind me that there's a QR code to scan to look at the menu when I ask her if I can have a regular menu? Maybe I can't see my phone. Maybe my phone is in the car. Maybe I don't have a phone. Maybe I'm old school and prefer just a menu so I can see it. I don't need to explain it to her. And I don't need to be lectured on what a QR code is. Why does the table that we are seated next to look like an unmitigated disaster? Why are there no pepper shakers? Why are there dead flies also in the same dusty wall? At eye level? Food was trash straight boo-boo horrible setting server was rude too would not recommend

We made reservation for Easter Sunday. It wasn't too terribly busy to be honest so I was hopefully for great service. Unfortunately that was not the case. We were seated and waited 15 minutes before I got up to inquire with the host if we had a waiter/waitress since no one had come to greet us or take drink orders. Finally after another 5-10 minutes, a waiter came apologized and said he had to go get drink orders for another table and would be back- mind you that table sat AFTER we did. We got a few appetizers (2 of the 3 came to the table and we had to ask 2 more times for the thirds) and while the food was "eh ok" the service continued to be lacking. We asked for salt and pepper and didn't get it until the main entrees came and we reminded the waiter about it. They apparently were out of serving spoons so we had to use our own forks to scoop from the "family style" bowl of rice. The main entrees were ok, but I would have preferred going to Panda Express for the same quality and less price. The woman's restroom looked like it had not been cleaned all weekend. 2 of the 3 stalls had broken locks and they had broken soap dispenser. Trash was overflowing in the bins. We will not be recommending or returning to this establishment. read more

The worst managed restaurant. Had a reservation and waited an hour for our table. At the hour mark I was told they were running 1 and 1/2 hours behind. A man walked out and informed me that they had waited over an hour for their food. I also noted so many to go orders and very little wait. When I approached the manager she just said Sorry. Friday lenten takeout meal ordered to support a local business during Stay at Home directive, but for me it was probably one of the most disappointing meals I've ever had from PFC, and that's over a few dozen experiences with them since they opened. Perhaps given the health crisis and employment challenges, they're faced with driving business model changes and efficiencies temporarily. But in honesty today, I had an "average" rated dinner - food tasted OK, but it wasn't the high quality I remember, nor were the portion sizes which seemed smaller than my last takeout. Dishes were $10-18 each, and the side portions of rice quite skimpy. Ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp, Shrimp Lo Mein, Chili Garlic beans, and Buhdda's veggies with Tofu (maybe got 4-5 small pieces). I can only imagine how difficult restaurant businesses are in these uncertain times, so I'm going to chalk this visit up as an exception and give 'em a hall pass. The food had ZERO flavor today. The calamari appetizer had mushy breading that was clearly not fried long enough. Super chewy pieces with mushy coating falling off of it. The honey chicken was overly sauced with a sauce that again had no flavor. The friend rice upgrade I paid $2 for was again, bland and not worth it. One of the most disappointing meals I've had in a while. Unfortunately like most chains, cost cutting measures are taking the place of quality. I wish I'd seen the reviews before I went there. We had a 630 reservation didn't get seated till 10 after seven Everybody was complaining about the wait! Iron to the food I ordered their bang bang shrimp. It was way over sauced I ordered the fried green beans. They were like a grease factory... My buddy ordered the Mongolian beef. My friend asked me to review this restaurant, as she is not on Yelp. She and her husband ordered curbside pick up, and was told that it was ready for pick up at 7:33, however at 8:38 they still had not received their food. They said there were many people waiting over an hour for food, and that door dash drivers were leaving as the wait was too long. When they arrived, they were not asked their name for the order, just immediately told they were short staffed. With the pandemic, staffing is short which is understandable. I think this would be a better situation if they were not told that their order was ready for pick up when it was not. read more

The rice tasted dry and stale. As an Asian restaurant they should have rice perfected. The rice was so dry I wouldn't have served it to my family if I was at home. It's funny because I ordered the lo mein but they brought me the rice mistakenly (the lo mein wasn't much better). I had the spicy chicken lunch special, I'd put the chicken on par with Panda Express. The egg roll was good at least, it's the only thing I'd order again, it had an interesting dipping sauce. Service was ok, the waitress was nice but she messed up my order and the place was basically empty. Went with a group of coworkers because of the lunch special advertising, this is not going on our list of places to return. read more

Did curbside pickup tonight with three main noodle/rice dishes and an appetizer. None of them were very good! The bbq ribs appetizer was glazed with a sauce that had way too much anice taste. Really salty. The accompanying spicy slaw in the other take out compartment looked terrible. Veggie lo mein was dry and over cooked with burn marks on the noodles. It was the best dish of the rest. Beef fried rice was okay with less than 5 small pieces of beef. The curry dish was spicy and overly salty. The chicken was cooked well, but the shrimp in the dish were absolutely tiny. I was expecting more. Pei Wei is nearby and significantly better. Our meal was not inexpensive, not appetizing looking or tasting, and quite disappointing. read more

We hadn't been here in probably a couple years. We used to love the food here. What a disappointment! They removed a lot of our favorites entrees, one of them being honey walnut shrimp. I settled for the honey crispy shrimp. I wasn't impressed. There weren't any veggies, just shrimp, and the rice was sort of dried out. My partner got sweet and sour chicken. I felt bad for him. Most of what looked like chicken was just batter. I wonder if they did this on purpose to save money on ingredients as I noticed another review saying the same thing. The lettuce wraps were the one menu item we ordered that was actually good. However, this is too much money to pay for subpar food. Our server wasn't very attentive either. He took our order and gave us the check and then disappeared most of the time. The placed looked messy too. Floors looked filthy and material was buckling in places. Such a sad sight. We will probably go somewhere else in the future as management doesn't seem to care about the quality of their food or their service. read more

Stopped in to place an order. The guy who took my order was totally clueless on how to work the order system/cash register. I offered to give him my phone # for their rewards program but he kept ignoring me. I ordered "mongolian chicken" and he kept saying "mongolian beef" at least 3-4 times. Fortunately I got the right order. The restaurant was empty but it took at least 45 minutes to get my food. It was actually decent and I was satisfied but they need help at the take -out area. I enjoyed our night here. Our server went above and beyond for us. I am giving a great review when its deserved. and I will for sure be coming back since we had a such a great experience. Very nice romantic date night as its not overly loud or obnoxious as some places can be. Also as usual the food is amazing! I recently suggested P.F Changs as the dinner place for my party of 8 before our formal for high school... We had made a reservation at what we thought was 6:15, arriving at 6 they told us they couldn't seat us till 6:15. Understandable, so we waited however then they told us our reservation was 6:30 and told us we'd have to continue waiting. Groups the same size as us were being seated earlier, regardless they definitely overbooked. It was almost 7 when we were seated and the plates were filthy. Our waitress took pictures of them to send to the manager and apologized. The food was ok but the experience was horrible. I honestly feel that because it was a group of teenagers we were treated differently, and this is very upsetting as I used to enjoy coming here. I will definitely not be recommending this place. On the bright side our waitress was quick to fix a situation and helpful. read more

We have not been to a PF Chang's in many years and decided to visit again. My previous experience was that the food was good, but pricey, and the portions were small compared to other places. All this still seemed to be true. The ambience was fine. Appropriate lighting and music volume. Unfortunately, the service was exceptionally bad. The server was borderline rude. She just did not seem happy. I don't know if we were just unlucky and she had a bad day, but it really impacted our experience. We regretted going. read more

Came here on Christmas Eve with my family. We made reservations for 6pm and we get there then. We are told it's going to be a 30 minute wait because they were behind. We end up waiting a total of an hour and a half to get seated, and wouldn't have been seated had my husband not asked why someone with 6:30 reservations got seated before us. Our waitress then comes up to get our order and then starts giggling about how long the food is going to take to be made which was completely inappropriate and rude. It takes over an hour to get the food which is lukewarm at best and mediocre. We had planned on making this a new tradition for our family but will never be back. Not to mention the restaurant itself was absolutely disgustingly dirty, the bathrooms were covered in paper towels and it looked like the rest hadn't been swept in days. read more

Meh. Atmosphere is always great. Couldn't be better. The service....offfffta!!! I understand the current landscape with staff and employees. However, given that P.F. Chang's is still on reservation only...if the staff is going to be so exhausted, or whatever the reasoning is for their not so friendly vibes, they should tighten up the availability even more. It's been quite some time since we've ate at any of the PF Changs restaurants across the US. Rumor has it that the PF Changs company has changed owners multiple times over the past decade. Upon entry it's clear they've remodeled. (Lots of paint!) SO Why the one star you ask? This is turning out to be a sad story of what are clearly "bean counter" moves ruining a once innovative/fantastic eatery. We are no stranger to PF Changs as that we used to eat there every weekend, and sometimes in between! Examples: Crab Wontons used to be fresh/flavorful/unique with a veggie garnish... now they taste frozen/subpar that have been purchased at a discount grocer and Nuked! (microwaved) I'm quite certain if we were to enter the kitchen of PF Changs now vs a decade ago we would see than many many corners have been cut. Portion sizes how dwindled, yet the prices have increased! Mind you we got x1 Meat Entree, x1 Chicken fried Rice and x2 appetizers all of which have shrunk are substandard and our bill was over $70. (Newsflash the food quality isn't any better than fill in the blank fast food Asian restaurants and not 1/2 as good as local independents (Example Pad Thai which I've reviewed before where the food quality is superior but the bill is 30% less and the service is likely better!) What's the difference? Large Corporations have CEOs and board members to pay big salaries to, investors to pay, and thus bean counters who are more interested in Profits than Quality! I haven't been to a PF Chang's since I lived in Dallas almost 10 years ago. At the time I was able to eat a regular diet and I remember the chicken lettuce wraps to be amazing! I've since been diagnosed a Celiac, gluten free for me only. I saw something the other day from another with this condition stating how annoying we are. Admittedly this is a sad fact. It's not that we want to talk about it. But it takes something like this to realize how much focus there is on food. Cooking food on my own can be hard enough at times. Dining out can lead to major anxiety. And potlucks, picnics, cookouts that don't list ingredients are not even a possibility. We fend for ourselves and look snobbish to self-cater. Sauces are often the biggest challenge which means most safe foods are naked and natural. Yay, not. Chinese food is known for its beautiful and aromatic sauces and spices so the Celiac in me is doing a happy dance knowing I'm about to eat, safely. We entered the building and I remember the rich opulence and burgundy and gold colors that you'd expect to find in a steakhouse, a wall of wine at the entry. We were seated in a corner booth, a small to medium sized lunch crowd during this weekday. I was so glad to see the chicken wraps are gluten free here, as they were my first dining memory when I discovered this restaurant. I'll be back for those.....higher in my line of site I peeped shrimp with lobster sauce. SIGN ME UP! We were greeted by Josh to take our orders, mine being the shrimp dish with white rice and my accompanying guest opting for the gluten free Mongolian beef and fried rice. They were presented tableside very quickly, served family style and in portions allowed both of us leftovers to go. My dish wasn't necessarily beautiful. But the shrimp were large and plentiful and the lobster sauce was thick and rich, not overly salty or overshadowed by added spices. You could taste the briny lobster and succulent shrimp of the dish. The Mongolian beef had thinly sliced shavings of beef with a sweetness and just the right amount of sauce to ensure the beef wasn't dry, but also not be drowning in the all-to familiar cornstarch baths that other Asian restaurants tend to go for. It held up nicely and maintained the flavor and texture of the beef even when added to the fried rice. As an added bonus and because we are gluten free, in lieu of fortune cookies, we were offered a coupon for free chicken lettuce wraps on a return trip. See you again soon!! read more

It's all about ordering the right dishes. 2 they did really well at this location were the miso glaze salmon and curry chicken. The salmon was best when ordered medium rare. Had a nice pink center and moiste. The chicken had a nice curry flavor with a bit of heat and lots of fresh veggies served in a broth. Both of these dishes were worth coming back again for. Since their opening many years ago,, P.F Chang's has changed so much. In some ways for the better and others not so much. The best thing they ever had on their menu was a grill where you could order steak with Bok Choy and soy sauce. At times The food and the service has been better than others. A few dishes have remained the same throughout. The Lettuce wraps and Sesame chicken are delicious otherwise I have really outgrown this restaurant for better less pricey Chinese places. A disappointment was that they no longer do the mix of sauces at the table to dip egg rolls in or out on your food. It was a great mix and something I enjoyed. Staff was never overly friendly here and that has not changed. Not a draw to keep me coming back. This is not a place I'd recommend but not one I'd try to dissuade someone from going to either. read more

Place was pretty much empty at 6:00 on a Monday night. Took a while to get a glass of wine. We were told the bar was busy. Ordered dinner and once it came we had no utensils. Took a while to get them. My peanut Thai salad had no peanuts. I asked and they eventually delivered some in a bowl. Birthday dessert came out with 1 spoon. We asked for more utensils to share. Waiter came near our table twice with no utensils. Perhaps the waiter was new and wasn't trained properly. Looked like short on staff and customers. read more
