It was very dark outside, none of the outside lights were on. It looked closed. Service staff was welcoming, attentive, and very kind. The facility was clean. Wine selection is fantastic. It took the bartender 30 minutes to get our drinks ready for the server, a glass of pinot and a bottle of beer. On a Thursday night at 6:45. It wasn't busy at all. We were seated straight away. And we ordered another beer later that we just never got, and had it taken off the bill. The food was meh. My street noodles were overwhelmingly pungent with ginger! And I like ginger, but it was ridiculous. The spicy tuna wasn't tight and was cut in huge awkward pieces. And we ordered egg rolls but they never came. So we went ahead and had them brought out, and they were different, and sub par. Our server was new so I didn't ask for a manager. We had a nice enough time. But I expect better, especially when spending $50pp. There is obviously a compromise in quality happening. And it's very sad. The last time we visited was six months ago. And we had the same kind of things happening. And I was hoping it was just an off night. So I would venture to say it's a management issue, because the staff was lovely. P.F. Chang's is a reliable, albeit fairly unauthentic chain. This location benefits from having a nice atmosphere inside with high ceilings, oversized pagoda-shaped pendants and cozy u-shaped booths if you can score one. There are items available "locally" that are no longer on the main menu (my go-to garlic noodles but I'm convinced they aren't the same). The trio of sauces and spicy oil/vinegar are no longer automatically brought to the table, so you must request them--good for reducing waste but it'd be nice if the option was spoken aloud during the ordering process. My most recent visit was with two friends on a Saturday afternoon, and we had a wonderful waitress. She was attentive and lots of fun and definitely made the visit worthwhile, as did the Dynamite Shrimp appetizer, which I pray never leaves the menu. The meal was good (but again, my favorite garlic noodles didn't live up to their memory); however, there are smaller, local businesses that dish up better flavors for less money. I couldn't even eat more than three bites. Not only was the food pathetic and disgusting but our waitress only came around once. Nice atmosphere & great service. I really love the wonton soup here, which is different than any other i've had. It has shrimp, chicken, mushrooms & water chestnuts- so good! My husband is addicted to the walnut shrimp & melon. The Mongolian beef is also very good. I used to come here more often, however some of my favorite meals- orange chicken, lettuce wraps & pad thai I have found to be much tastier at the Cheesecake Factory & Sky Asian Cuisine. The orange chicken & lettuce wraps are on the simple side, they don't give you any veggies or toppings to put on the lettuce wraps, other than sweet & spicy sauce. A 3rd peanut sauce would really kick it up a notch. The pad thai is probably my least favorite here. Has a mild flavor, no sweetness, not a lot of sauce, and comes with cilantro, lots of raw green onions & raw shredded carrots, which is odd. That being said, there are still many dishes i haven't tried here, so I will be a return customer, just wish they would spruce up some of their meals. read more

I have been to PF Chang's all over the country. We love the restaurant. This location however has been consistently the worst we have been to. The primary place we have been frustrated is with their host staff. We have kids. This seems to regularly irritate those responsible for taking us to a table. Our kids are fantastic in restaurants and have more out to eat experience than most adults I know. The judgment given is always before we sit down. We have had 2 servers immediately comment on how good our kids are. But even they say it with surprise. It's as if the restaurant has a bias against children. Two of my children are adopted from China and all of my kids have been to China twice. It's consistently irritating to be treated this way when we try to come to our favorite chinese restaurant. Most severs have been ok but one sever we had goes down as one of the worst we have ever had. I see this as a management problem. More training on what it actually means to be a host staff. More oversight as they do the job. Their is more than just taking people to a table. read more

Typical PF Chang's, so prices are what you would expect, a bit on the high side. I really like their mango tea and I like the fact you can share the meals around the table. This gives you a chance to try various items. Service was quick and friendly. It's located near a mall so you have that opportunity if you like. We shared the surf and turf, very tasty and the honey crispy chicken, also delicious. For three people it was the perfect amount of food. P.F. Chang's was on the list of chain restaurants that I never wanted to go to. That list also included the Olive Garden and Cheesecake Factory. Thanks to work trips, now only the Olive Garden remained. We flew into Dayton on Wednesday and knew nothing about the area or even really where the offices were that we were going to the next day, but we needed food and drinks. There was a mall across the street and the only thing that looked familiar was the Chang's; my co-worker said he'd rather go someplace known than something random so there we were. We grabbed a table at the bar because the restaurant itself was pretty packed. Shockingly, the food was not awful. We split dumplings to start and I went with the orange peel chicken. It had a little spicy kick to it, and I wasn't completely disgusted by it. I don't really like large chain restaurants, I'd rather not go to P.F. Chang's again. Sounds funny but I have been to PF in Seattle , LA, and Chicago markets and found all of them to have much better ambience. I feel the general seating area is just one big sea of tables with no particular setup and way too close together. I don't mind crowded restaurants but this just isn't the type to have people practically on top of each other. As far as the food, mediocre. My sesame chicken was sweeter than it should have been. Danger Will Robinson! Rude and disrespectful. Despite the relatively late hour (8 pm on a Saturday), was told there'd be a 30 min. wait for a table. So decided to eat at the bar. NO ONE -- not the bartender nor barbacks -- acknowledged us for several minutes. Finally, the bartender came over our way, only to shake the hand the guy who came in and sat next to us AFTER we came in. He was apparently a friend. So I asked him, "Excuse me, are we invisible here?" And the guy gives ME lip! Incensed, on the way out the door I sought out a manager, who in response to my complaint offered to give us a seat in the dining room immediately. What about the 30 minute wait? And the manager didn't get it ... I was PISSED and it was all I could do not to drag him over to the bar and MAKE him confront his bartender. Hey Dayton, I'm from the Washington, D..C., area and even we don't disresect people like that. What happened to midwestern hospitality? I've been to PF Chang's in other cities ... the food is good for a chain ... but not good enough to put up with service like this. MY husband and I dine here regularly and I have to say over the last year and a half-two years this place has gone down hill. The service has become subpar. The servers do not care to go above and beyond. Most of them look ungroomed and messy. They're always in a hurry. We pay a high price for Chinese food here. We expect exceptional service as well! Not the hasty servers we have met lately. The last time we dined with P.F Chang's in the Dayton mall area we ordered Lobster dumplings, Mongolian Beef, Korean Bulgogi Steak, and a fried rice with chicken and pork in it. One, we didn't receive our dumplings at all. When brought up to our server we were told "okay." Just okay! No apology. He never brought it to us either. He brought us our dinner. At that point we asked to speak to the manager on duty. He told us her name but we cant remember it. I want to say Karen. Maybe Katrice? It started with a K, I know that much. She was extremely rude and angry. Couldn't be bothered. When She approached us she instantly got upset when we started to explain how our server was not refilling our drinks. As well as did not bring us our appetizer. You could see the frustration in her eyes. She as well, was not apologetic. Instead she got snippy with us. She treated us as if we were a burden to her. So thank you Katrice? We ended up waiting an hour almost for our dinner which came out incorrect. We received what they said was a beef with broccoli instead of our usual Mongolian beef. We mentioned that we had the wrong item to the person who brought us our food but they seemed to be in a hurry and never brought the correct dish. We never saw our server again the rest of our meal so we ate the wrong dish with nothing to drink. We had to walk to the front desk to ask for our check. We then paid for lobster dumplings we never received and Mongolian beef we also never received! At that point we just took the extra things we were charged for out of our servers tip because we could not stomach the thought of possibly having another encounter with that manager Katrice! Again, we dine(DID) at PF changs regularly. I would say at least once a week. We will not be returning here. Our friends have all said how awful this place has become and I must say, I agree! This was a place where I always felt my server went above and beyond at. Now it is just mediocre. Very disappointing. Hopefully Outback Steakhouse which is nearby as well will be our new go to spot. *3.5* I know it's sacrilege to give a good review to a chain but I am really impressed with the quality of food at PF Chang's. This location is no different. Here's what to expect: 1. You will pay a bit more but the freshness and taste are better than a local Chinese place. 2. The service is sllooowwww....which is very surprising. It was 7 of us and we had corp cards so you think it would be better service? Nope. She went MIA for a large clip of the time and the place wasn't all that busy. 3. The food is very good. I had the CHANG'S SPICY CHICKEN which is equal to General Tso's and I was very pleased. The chicken tasted very fresh and not that fake style you get elsewhere (you know, where it's all breading and a microscopic peace of chicken). Instead of the brown rice I was really hungry and went with fried rice which was excellent! For apps we split the dumplings (small but rather fresh and good), dynamite shrimp (small and next time I will pass on them...didn't do much for me) and Edamame (kind of dried out but not too bad). 4. Ambiance was gaudy and dark. Overall for a chain it's a good choice but on the weekends be prepared to wait a significant amount of time. ENJOY! read more

Average wait once food was ordered until delivered (by a bus boy not the server). Then no one came back to our table, everyone had empty drinks! (strike two). Went to P.F. Chang's in Miamisburg last night with a couple from the area, as well as a friend from out of town. Good food and good service. My husband and I tried the "P.F. Chang's for Two menu." Definitely a good deal. For $39.95, we got 2 soups, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, and 2 mini desserts. The soups are OK, but nothing spectacular. The lettuce wrap appetizer is really tasty. My orange peel chicken was good, with plenty leftover for a meal today. And the mini desserts are shot glass-style and delicious. The raspberry cheesecake was perfect and not too much dessert to feel guilty! Our waitress (I'm sorry I don't remember her name!) was patient as we all chatted for a while before we ordered. She also made sure that our courses were delivered in a timely fashion, but not too close together. If you're looking for good Chinese-American, P.F. Chang's is not a bad place. First time I've ever been to a P.F. Chang's. Yes I know it's a bit lame but get over it. As we were stopping for a quick bite to eat we didn't ponder over the menu. We went for what we knew would be good...the amazing General Tso's chicken. And amazing is certainly what it was!! My favorite part was there was enough sauce left over you could scoop your rice up and not have it be dry. Bit of a pet peeve of mine when there isn't enough lovey gooey sauce to coat the chicken and rice. The chicken was moist and not dried out. We haven't been out for a while because of covid and I have to say the experience was terrible. The table was sticky, the floors were sticky and disgusting...bathroom was filthy...all around awful. This is supposed to be a higher end restaurant and I felt like I was at a truck stop. The busser who cleaned the table off next to us just wiped all the crumbs etc onto the floor and nobody came over to vacuum afterwards. Came here for lunch on Saturday, seated immediately, and able to place an order as soon as we sat down. Great ambiance, lighting is good where we sat as well. Server was very attentive. Appetizer came out in about 5 minutes, we got steamed pork dumplings. I will say that they were not well sealed, for that reason they were hard to pick up and not drop the filling. The sauce on them was very good. The main entrees came out in about 20min and were pretty good as well. Miso glazed salmon was delicious, and the lo mein was also tasty. Poor experience with Sabrina. She was not pleasant, hardly acknowledged me and was in a hurry to get us out. We order our drinks and mine came later, I guess cause it was a pomegranate lemonade. No problem. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 entrées. She wasn't very pleasant the entire time. She came over and told my husband she'll get him another diet coke, but never acknowledged that my drink was empty. She gave us to-go containers before we were even halfway done with our meal. Then brought us the check without even asking if we wanted desert. We actually did want desert since we were there for my birthday. She wanted us to use the qr code to pay online, which we didn't want to. She said she's saying what they tell her to say. I can say, we have never left a meal without tipping, but she didn't get one. $70 check and she would have received a pretty good tip too, should she have been a decent server. And I can tell she was eyeing the receipt while clearing our table, before I even got up from my seat. I let the manager know as we left about our experience and hope he said something to her.
