Still five stars! Today was shrimp cashew. The lunch menu is huge and comes with a crab rangoon, soup and a piece of honey mustard chicken (that I gave away). Great value for a huge amount of food!!!

Dining experience was perfect in every way. This is a charming and traditional Chinese sit-down restaurant with table service - comfortable seating, booths available, lanterns, Fortune Cats, ornate ceiling, and soothing Oriental instrumental music playing. Pretty tableware. Warm plates! There was one server on the floor who doubled as the hostess. When we dined, there were I believe four other couples or trios plus one table of six. She did a great job taking care of everyone. Started with steamed dumplings that were tender and comforting. We did the $3 addon to the entree to get soup, an eggroll and a crab rangoon along with it. Loved the wonton soup, generous portion with four nice small wontons, appropriate for eating with a spoon. Crab rangoon was one of the best I ever had and the eggroll was very good too and not one of those little tiny ones. Of course little pots of hot mustard and duk sauce were brought out along with fresh crispy noodles. I had the Szechuan Beef, requesting that the chef go light on the broccoli and that's what was done. It was a spicy dish though not as hot as you might expect for Szechuan. Here's where we zoomed into the five star zone: I requested hot chili oil and received some right away! I almost cried with joy. Have not seen hot chili oil since dining at upscale Chinese in New York. It was perfectly flaming hot and I could enhance my dish as desired. My husband had the house combination "No. 1" and while we agreed the scallops and shrimp textures were below average, the chicken was great and so was the spicy brown sauce along with delightful baby corn and snow peas aplenty. Prices were quite reasonable, and no charge for a nice pot of tea or for the chili oil. When we were too full to eat anymore, our kind waitress took care of putting the leftovers into a takeout box, cementing the five star experience for all time. Looking forward to returning soon.

This place has been here for many years. I used to come here a long time ago. I've moved away and been gone for many years so imagine my surprise when we came back to visit and it was still there. I have been talking about Empress Chicken forever, but it was no longer on the menu. Guess what? They still make it if you ask. Day officially made. The service is incredible. Fast and the prices are good. The food is better than you expect. The chicken is actually breaded and crispy, although it's covered in sauce. Now that's tricky! It's every bit as good as it's always been, if not better!!

We love sushi - travel all the way to columbus just to have some from the unofficial "japantown" at kenny center Upon arrival at 2 pm, not super busy but the store appeared bright and well decorated. We were directed to pick our preferred seating. Menus were brough quickly, drink orders we taken and brought out quickly. Sprites, came with a cup of ice. This was were it went downhill. My husband is allergic to shellfish, and we eat out understanding there is a chance of cross contamination based on what we order. He had a mild reaction - we determined his reaction was from the glass with ice, which indicates it was not washed well. Not a good sign... We ordered house lo mein, king salmon nigiri, tuna nigiri, tuna roll, and one chicken and vegetable hibachi. Sushi? The rice was long grain and unseasoned... it fell apart as my husband picked it up. The fish was.. ok.. not wowed. Even the king salmon was...just salmon and not anything amazing. My tuna roll never made it. My husband said this was the first time he had bitter ginger... he spat that back out - ginger is suppose to be a palate cleanser... Lo mein? Was ok. It was not greasy, which is what I usually encounter. Noodles were soft, but ok. Flavor.. lacking.. and there was a notcieable amount of sauce at the bottom.. so it was too runny. The hiabachi? The fried rice, saddest fries rice ever. It was hard middle and .. flavor was offputting.. this is coming from a girl that was raised to eat rice everyday in many forms. I love durian, and this rice manage to offput me.... the flavor was just weird. The hibachi chicken and veggies were the best part..sauce flavor was great and the veggies were cooked very well and chicken was juicy. So overall... would not recommend due to cleanliness (based on contact contamination from a cup) and... food was just meh

First impressions weren't great. The restaurant itself is small but clean, and I was greeted quickly, so the service side was fine. Unfortunately, the food didn't really match that same positive start. The fried rice looked and tasted pretty bland on opening--definitely needed extra seasoning. The General Tso's was okay, but nothing really stood out overall. The one highlight for me was definitely the crab rangoons. They were crispy, cooked well, and honestly the only thing I fully enjoyed. If I go back, that's probably all I'd order again. I tried adding soy sauce and the red sauce they include, which helped a bit, but it still didn't fully bring the meal together. Interestingly, after letting the leftovers sit overnight in the fridge, the flavors seemed to come out more and it tasted better the next day than fresh. Overall, I'd give it 2/5 stars. Not my favorite experience, but I might give them one more try in the future, mainly just for the crab rangoons.

There was plenty of parking and signage. They have a varied and very authentic menu to choose from! We ordered a broth based lo mein noodle bowl and a hand pulled cold dry noodle bowl. BF added on a braised egg and I ordered a Taiwanese sausage on a stick. Yum on all accounts! Chili oil was automatically brought to us and the waitress was super friendly as well as bilingual. Food was brought out within 5-10 minutes of ordering. YES!! presentation and taste were perfect. Their prices and portions are reasonable and I love everything about this place, down to their cat portraits adorning the walls! Wish this place opened a location in Cleveland! The noodles are actually made in-house and have a lovely texture. I got the Classic Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup and was definitely not disappointed. The broth is light, but full of flavor at the same time. It is truly very comforting on a cold winter night. I think the beef slices on there are a bit tough, but it's not too big of an issue. The portion sizes are actually crazy. I got the regular size and could finish maybe just half to 2/3 of the noodles, along with a majority of the beef. I can't imagine how massive the large bowl would be... For health, I also ordered some stir-fried bok choy. This was stir fried well, but I'm not really sure what the flavor profile was supposed to be. Is it garlic? Is it spicy? I couldn't really place it. The prices are very fair for the quality of food they provide, and service throughout the night was decent. I will probably be back again, if I visit Dayton!
