    4 Piece Egg Rolls
    Mark C.

What a great little surprise! Stopped into Zaep Zaep Thai after getting a card on my door. Didn't even know it was there. It's at the front of the food hall at 216 Oak St in Roanoke. Yay, the owner, was super welcoming and friendly. I got the red curry which was delicious with a lot of fresh crispy vegetables and a great portion of chicken. Everything tasted super fresh and he cooks all the dishes without MSG. Since I was a first time customer he let me sample the egg rolls, which I have to say are some of the best I've had anywhere. I would go back just for those! It's not a fancy place by any stretch. As I said it's in a food hall, but there's plenty of places to sit inside or outside. Yay is from Laos and will be adding Spicy Lao sausage to the menu, which I can't wait for. I'll definitely be going back to try some different dishes very soon and recommend you check them out too!

Authentic Thai/Nepali food! The best spring rolls I've ever had! The Momo Veg so deliciously different. Great service and friendly staff.

Tried Noodle Works for the first time, after hearing about it on social media. I placed an online…read moreorder for the two chicken egg rolls, Spicy chili wontons, general Tso chicken and an order of fried rice flat noodles. All the food was on the expensive side, but I heard it was good, so I didn't mine. One of the first thing I noticed was the entrees do not come with rice. There is a $1 up charge for white rice and $3 for fried rice, $5 for noodles. I have never experienced a Chinese restaurant that charged for white rice with an entree (not even PF Chang). I arrived 10 minutes after the time I was told my food would be ready. I checked in at the register and was told it would be another 5 minutes. I was told to have a seat and wait. Since there is no place to sit when waiting for a take out order, I sat down in the closet booth next to the register. After about 1 minute, a very rude lady came over in broken English and screamed that I could not sit there. I told her I was waiting on a to-go order and she just kept screaming "you don't can sit there", so I got up and stood by the front door. If my food had not already been paid for, I would have left after that rude encounter. The ambiance of the restaurant is very strange as they had a boombox loudly playing 80s music. It was so load, I felt bad for the customers who were eating at there. No way you could enjoy siting there listening to the annoying loud music while you ate. About 5 minutes later (15 minutes past the time they originally told me it would be ready) my food was ready. The food did come out very hot. I retrieved my food and took it home to enjoy. Overall the food is very basic and not worth the elevated price. The egg rolls were over fried and greasy. The spicy wonton were very bland and not spicy at all. The general Tso chicken was not good. Very small pieces of chicken, over breaded and a bland sauce. Again not spicy at all. The fried flat rice noodles were the biggest disappointment. Mushy noodles that were all stuck together. Not good at all. Overall the Noodle Works was a big disappointment. There are so many better option in the area (Dragon House or the Wok). Do yourself a favor and skip the rude staff Noodle Works.

It had the rings and the entire animal -those are my favorite! You order at counter and food is brought out to you when ready. Service was great and quick. It was 3pm. So it wasn't busy at all. The pizzas were fantastic and the crisp was perfect and crispy. They have clean high chairs-that's a plus. It was quiet with us being the only patrons. We started with the Arancini, a deep-fried ball of rice, pesto and mozzarella; rolled in bread crumbs. Never had anything like it before. It's amazing. Very good. I chose the lobster ravioli with vodka sauce. Excellent. The bread is also terrific. Prices are fair. Service very attentive. It is a very minimalist dining room, boardering on spartan, but who cares, you can't eat ambience. We will definitely be back. Want to try their margherita pizza. Also saw another diner's entree of pasta with pesto sauce. This place lived up to its stellar YELP score!!
