Peter answered my call and we scheduled a date & time, and a "Soft Estimate" of how much the job would cost. Peter was super responsive throughout this process; he was genial, kind, unassuming, professional, and socially astute. It was immediately apparent that Paul is a Top Shelf Plumber, as he had the issue diagnosed and remedied quicker than I could have imagined. You can't help but love this guy. We have used him several times. In an easy fix flood distress situation, excellent, he loves to rescue his clients. His prices are very fair, he is good for what he promises. He does simple repairs, not whole house repairs. He will recommend someone else for a job he does not do. My thought over time was, he is charming, but does not really like to do plumbing! He likes to visit and make friends. His one substantial job was replacing a tub fixture. Poor, not taking time to get proper fixture, looked like a patch job. Not explained. So, if you want a nice, honest guy to do a simple thing, PJ's your man. He is very popular! read more

Peter is great! We had 3 problems, and after speaking on the phone a bit, he thought it would be best to look at them and give an estimate. Peter came here and patiently examined each issue, one at a time. One turned out to be not a problem at all, another he told us what we needed to do to do it ourselves (which is what we'd wanted), and the third he said he'd do it, but advised against it. (We have a tub faucet that drips a bit for days after we turn it on. It's notoriously difficult to change the cartridge, and if anything breaks in the process, it's a disaster since there's no access to the faucet other than from above, without breaking through / removing the tile.) On top of all that, he gave me a small piece of 2000 grit sandpaper which he recommended to help clean our Toto toilet (with a bit of soap), as I was complaining about it. I received Peter's number from a friend. I contacted him, and he came out and did an estimate on our bathroom remodel within a couple days. I told him it was not urgent. Quoted a fair and reasonable price (below typical name brands). Work to be done in two weeks. I had an issue last night when I was trying to turn off the valves to one of the the sinks. Both hot and cold would not turn off completely. Yuck. I sent Peter a text and he responded this morning. He came out an hour later and had new valves put in within 15 minutes. PJ redid some copper plumbing in my shower. He told me he would use a Sharkbite. I am not a fan of Sharkbites, I prefer things done the correct way so I asked him not to hide a Sharkbite in my shower wall. With some hesitation he agreed. He finished the job and I noticed he DID use a Sharkbite in another location. I had to have the whole job redone by another local plumber who knows PJ who was horrified by the craftsmanship.
