Kinda bar that makes you feel like you're at home. Friendly staff, easy conversation. Good food and drinks. Came in on Sunday night, bar was 300 feet away from our hotel. Super convenient. We ordered drinks and the beef stew. And omg it hit the spot. Stew was hot and so so good!! They had a guy playing live music. We ate, drank and sang along. Good time, great memories. Will be back next time we're in NYC.

McDaid's Irish Pub was the perfect first stop on my first night in NYC! A lively, authentic Irish pub with great beers, friendly staff, and hearty pub food. The team was attentive and full of great menu suggestions. I went with something unique, the Irish curry fries topped with melted cheese and rich curry sauce, and they were fantastic! Paired perfectly with a cold Guinness. This establishment is a warm, welcoming spot with delicious comfort food. Highly recommend if that's your motto!

Very spacious Irish bar with plenty of seats and a rich menu of food and spirits. After getting a couple of beers, we tried their Spiked hot chocolate (Bailey's Irish Cream) and did not look back. True, it is $16, but also delicious (and it comes with marshmallows). We also tried their curried fries with melted cheese and they were yummy. Overall, we enjoyed the un-rushed service, Christmas decorations and availability of tv screens. Good vibe.

Went with hubby after a show. Perfect location. Despite it being very busy we were sat in 15 minutes. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Early November and the Christmas decor was beautiful. Lots of TVs for sports fans. Staff was incredible. We ordered the french onion soup and it was perfect!! Right amount of everything!! Hubby had Bangers and Mash and I had Fish and Chips again PERFECTION!! Waitress was sooo friendly and just the right amount of attentive. Highly highly recommend for perfect inclusion to your Broadway experience. For us we started a new tradition. We will be back -- you can never ever go wrong with an Irish Pub!!

    The BEST bartenders!

First time in NYC. The bartenders here made us feel like regulars, like family. I cannot recommend them enough. Food was delicious! Ambiance an authentic neighborhood pub. Thank you!

What a chill place. Cool bartender from Hells Kitchen with even cooler stories of growing up in the gritty NY or a time bygone. Strong drinks. A great place to sit and relax off the bustle of 53rd. Food options are on the heavy side (and average portions). 5+ for atmosphere.

This has the feel of a pub in Ireland. The food is delish. To be different I ordered the Curry Cheese Fries, and our waitress, who is Irish, said it's a good choice! They were excellent!

Oh my gosh!!! GO! So delicious! They were slammed but we still got our food quickly. The server forgot our cider so we didn't get to try the specialty drinks. The restaurant was decorated nicely and was warm. I had French onion soup, steak sandwich and friend had the Shepard's pie. Flawless!!!

Great Irish pub if you're near Central Park. We stopped in after running a 5k and it was perfect. I ordered a French onion soup which was savory and satisfying. My husband got the Chicken Pot Pie which was huge! And so creamy. Definitely coming back for this one. And then I took a chance ordering a chicken quesadilla at an Irish bar but it paid off. One of the best quesadillas I've ever had.

Incredible live music and a very cozy vibe, especially during the holiday season. Fair selection of bites and quick service.

Great casual place if you're in and are around the theater district. The service was friendly and fast. We got the fresh and cooked to order (med rare) burger. Was really surprised how good the burger was. We also split chicken quesadillas. They were just your standard run of the mill quesadillas which. I would def come back if in the area and need a place for a drink and low key bite to eat.

Good beer, good atmosphere, good fun. Service could have been better but it was a full house, so giving grace in that department.

What a great place to grab a beer and listen to great music on a Saturday night. A must go if you are in the Carnegie Hall area.

Great menu of standard irish pub food, very yummy, and fresh. Inside, it felt like we were not in NYC at all which was nice.

The energy is right there, hovering, but it never actually lands. It's giving "almost iconic" but not quite--like a party that never fully starts. And that's what gets me. Because this bar could EASILY be that spot. The kind people plan their week around. Where are the themed nights? Where's the drama? The chaos? Give me a reason to come back on a random Wednesday. Do a city-event tie-in, a holiday takeover, literally anything that makes it feel alive instead of just... existing. Because right now it feels like a missed opportunity wearing a cute outfit. BUT--let's talk about the one thing they absolutely did not fumble: the view. The VIEW??? Insane. Genuinely stunning. The kind of view that makes you pause mid-sentence and remember you're in New York and not just spiraling in your own life choices. It's carrying the entire experience on its back, respectfully. So yeah. I'd come back... but mostly for the view and the potential. If they ever decide to actually do something with this space? It could be dangerous (in a good way). Until then, it's vibes... just not fully realized ones.
