Got to the city earlier than expected to see a play, started to rain heavily so we ditched into Connolly's for a drink. Old Irish pub with a lot of history serving over 50+ beers and full bar drinks of your choice. Service is very fast and didn't have to wait for ur drinks. Decided to order some food and the French Dip and Reuben was very good. Definitely recommend if you're in Times Square or waiting to see a show definitely stop in and check out what they have to offer.

After finding a pizza place that we wanted to go to closed we decided to check out Connolly's. Upon entering we were told to go upstairs for quicker service, so we did and we're immediately seated. A server grabbed us waters and I eventually ordered a downeast cider from MA. The cider was super refreshing and had hints of sweetness without being too overpowering. With my stomach not being too happy I ordered a baked potato and my mom the fish and chips substituting the fries for onion rings. Well the onion rings, to put it as nice as possible, had seen better days. They were way over cooked and hard as bricks--we did not need to even bite into one to notice this! Thankfully the server understood and swapped out the rings for another piece of fish. And speaking of the fish it was amazing! Lightly fried and a little crispy around the edges it made every bite so good--no tartar sauce needed! Also, the meal came with coleslaw, which was nice surprise. It was cool and creamy and delicious as well. One of the servers recommended that next time we should get vinegar with the fish as it makes it even better. Great service and good food.

Nice Pub Vibes - we made a reservation, but they were able to seat us early when we were ahead of schedule. The portions were large - we all stuck to the standard, Fish and chips. Not bad, the fryer oil for the fish definitely needed to be changed out though. The award winning apple crisp was disappointing, just basic apple pie with a crisp on top. The Cheesecake was better!

A fine pub. Crowded and noisy even on a late Thursday night. Plenty of TVs showing various sports. The Guinness was fresh. I enjoyed the cheese and chicken quesadillas. Key lime pie was mediocre. Service was courteous, but became less attentive after a shift change. A solid choice for late night food and drink after the theater.

11/8/25 - This place is walking distance from Times Square. We walked into the first level and the staff directed us to the second floor to be seated for dinner. We were seated right away and the waitstaff were attentive throughout our time there. I ordered the Applewood Grilled Chicken Sandwich, which came with a side of fries and a pickle slice, for $21. The fries weren't anything special but I did like the sandwich. The portion was bigger than I expected and it was filling due to it having 2 pieces of chicken breast stacked on top of each other. The second floor also has bar seating in addition to larger tables for families or bigger parties. It is a noisier environment so if you're looking for a quiet, calm place to dine this won't be for you. There are multiple TV's throughout the pub showing different sports events.

This was our second time at Connolly's and it was just as good as the first. Our niece met us here, and she arrived first. Got a comfortable booth with excellent wait staff! Food was good and plentiful. Niece and Husband had the Irish stew, and I had the Chicken Cheese Quesadilla. We left food behind because we were full & had no safe way to bring leftovers to our hotels for tomorrow's snack. The place is beautiful, warm & comfortable. We didn't feel rushed at all. We'll definitely be back!

Stopped by Connolly's since I needed a spot to get a quick bite before a 7:30 pm Broadway show at the St James Theater. This was my first time here and the place was busier than expected on a Wednesday at 6 pm. The first floor was completely full so a hostess walked us upstairs to the 2nd floor. All of the bar seats were taken upstairs as well so she agreed to seat us at a table on the far side of the dining room at the windows and said we could only have the table until 7 pm, when a large party was coming in. The acoustics by the bar area were so loud, so it was definitely better sound wise to be seated at a table by the windows - however the heat vents were right next to our legs/feet, so it was uncomfortable temperature wise after a while. Since we only had an hour, we decided we'd just share a couple of apps. Their app selection isn't the most enticing. I asked the waitress how many chicken tenders ($16) come in an order - she told me 6-8, so I was disappointed when 4 average size tenders came out on the plate - we also had to wait to get small plates to eat them on since they didn't bring them out before or with the food. Our second app were the soft baked pretzel sticks ($14) - 3 in an order. Those were very good with the beer cheese. They have an expansive selection of beers on tap - I thought I'd get a little bit of a bargain by ordering one of their house beers but it's the same cost as the other beers on tap (no drink prices on the menu). They also have Kona Big Wave incorrectly listed on their menu under the IPAs - despite having an 'Ale" section. Right at 6:50 pm, the giant group they warned us about came in and took up all the dining tables on the 2nd floor - they didn't seem to be from the US. This bar seems to attract a big tourist crowd, probably because of its proximity to Times Square. I was pretty underwhelmed and don't need to come back here again.

Surprised at how good the burgers were! Get them medium rare and you'll enjoy the juiciness of a solid patty. I went with the daily special of wagyu blend Guinness infused patty with Guinness onions and cheese and wow was that good! I hate the slightest taste of beer, so I was very happy with how this turned out--all flavor, no weird after tastes at all. Sweet potato fries were better than regular fries. All fires aren't greasy/salty, so I was happy not to feel heavy after a late dinner. There are multiple floors in this massive establishment. If you're looking for a dinner spot, do first floor--it's the least loud/rowdy option. The higher you go, the rowdier the vibe gets. The rooftop get super packed and busy and insanely loud. Staff--depending on the mood of each person, you might get lucky, or not so much.

This is a really cool spot. It is aesthetically pleasing and exciting to see. They have draft handles as faucets in bathroom and kegs as a sink - that IS really cool and creative. The staff was welcoming and everyone went above and beyond. The serve was kind, professional, efficient and he and the rest of the servers and bussers continually checked on us and other tables. They work as a team. The ambiance is lovely. They okay music but we went during a championship game so game was playing which was the reason for us going in the first place. TVs everywhere. The prices are reasonable. There is a great selection of menu items and plenty of Irish dishes. We ordered the spicy wings, pot pie and fries. The fries are amazing! Nice and airy and crispy and cooked to perfection. The pot pie was good but I personally like a more chicken knorr or poultry seasoning flavoring which I felt lacked. Overall just okay for my liking. The fried were good. Fresh and piping hot. Great place just off time square (one block) wit a great vibe. We settled on their roof top bar that's closed off with AC but there's an outdoor are for smokers. I highly recommend this place.

Fun Irish pub to spend time after the St. Patricks day parade. Be prepared , it gets very crowded but the staff professionally handles the crowd with grace. They have the typical Irish fanfare food that would be expected at an Irish Pub. I had the good ole' Corned beef and cabbage. The Corned beef was a little dry but quite a portion. The potatoes and carrots were pure perfection. Connolly's has a vast selection of beer . If you are looking for an Irish beer to try I suggest Smithwicks. It's a satisfying red ale. Connolly's also has Allagash - the beer that compliments any meal! Fun place to have a beer , burger and to celebrate life!

DO NOT ORDER GRUBHUB FROM HERE! I did and when I went to pick it up, they told me they don't accept Grubhub orders anymore, so I had to call Yelp to get them to cancel my order which they did pretty easily, but still would have liked to avoided the hassle. Ended up ordering takeout and got a burger and fries which were ready in about 10 minutes. They tasted fine. Near Times Square. Dine in seemed busy on a Sunday night, but no line. Pub ambiance.

What a great spot to help celebrate St. Patrick's Day! The place was PACKED (obviously) but my group managed to get a table relatively quickly. The host stand was definitely disorganized but once we got seated, the service was great and the food came out quickly. The curry fries were good, but I could've had a bit more of the curry flavor in the sauce. The fish and chips were above average for what I've had in the US and were crispy!

Service from the bartender was great. I ordered the fish and chips and a Bloody Mary. Everything was great up till then. Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment. Maybe it was a deep fat fryer thing, but I respectfully suggest the cook be given a little additional training. The fish batter was hard on the outside, and the fish was completely mushy on the inside. Like, gray mush. The fries were lukewarm. The mushy peas and the tartar sauce were served in little covered plastic disposable containers. I'm not a fan of that, but I get it is convenient. I truly wanted to like this place, and except for my one experience with the food, I would certainly return. People were having fun, and I did as well. I believe if they become a little more attentive in the kitchen, this place is a five star pub.
