He does not just come to do a job, but genuinely cares about each of his customers. He tries to establish a relationship with his customers by making it feel like he is taking care of a family member. He tries to get to know you and is willing to hold a conversation with you and hear you out. Plumbing issues can be very expensive and Stephen is sensitive to that. It is never a great time to get plumbing work done, but Stephen is there to talk with you, hear you out, and just be someone who genuinely cares about the customer. I will be using Jim and Son's for any plumbing needs in the future and I highly recommend them to anyone. I wish I remembered the name of the other plumber that helped him out during the job, but he was awesome as well. We called Plumbing MATTers and they were able to get us scheduled same-day! Our technician, Giovanni, was phenomenal. He quickly diagnosed our water pressure issue--our main valve was sitting at a dangerous 100 PSI--and installed a new 1-inch Zurn Wilkins regulator (our old one was 24 years old!). He also performed a hydro-jetting service on our main line to clear out all the debris. Giovanni was polite, professional, upfront with pricing, and worked incredibly efficiently. I also really appreciate the client portal they supply--it made it super easy to view my paid invoices and will be great for keeping track of any future estimates all in one place. He was probably the most courteous person that I have met in a long time... authentically courteous. Our water softener install needed some demo work to get the drain line to a suitable sewer. When Daniel came out to perform the estimate inspection, he climbed into the tiniest attic space to see if that was an option. When he was out to do the install, I was prepared to have a lot of drywall demo done to our laundry room. Instead of taking the easy way, I feel that Daniel looked at how he would have it done it if it were his own home. He found a way to completely avoid any demo on one wall at his own expense (spending time in a very hot and tight attic space). In the end we had a couple small drywall cutouts that he taped back in place minimizing the visual impact until I patch them completely. He was honest before the work started, that he doesn't patch the drywall. When he was done, I said to him, "I thought you don't patch dry wall :-)." His response? I just taped it :-). I expected to have drywall squares sitting around for me to put back. This is an example of his care for a home he may never be in again. I will be calling R & R (and hoping I get Daniel) again.
