Wonderful service and food from this P. Terry's today. My son had his birthday party at K1 Speed about a mile away. I called and put in a phone order for 11 hungry teenage boys, each ordering their own personalized burger combo. The young man on the phone got my order perfect, boxed everything up safely, and organized the bags of food for simple distribution back at the party. When I went to pick up my order, everything was perfect!! The service at the walk-up window was impeccable. The young employees were courteous and respectful. I literally do not understand the adoration of P Terry's. The burgers are thin, the buns are sugar filled white bread, the fries are consistently greasy AF. This is my favorite place to get burgers by far! They have great fast service, hot, fresh food, real beef, it's just amazing. This location is EXTREMELY SLOW! Every time I decide to give it another try, they fail me again. I always end up going at times of the day where I expect it to be less busy. Today, I decided to try the walk up window instead of drive-thru. They proceeded to take 15-20 min to process my order, which ended up being wrong. I am disappointed with my experiences at this P. Excellent place for a good cheap burger. Much better than waterburger. My few gripes are that there is usually a long line but that's part and parcel for living in a big ci....I mean being a good affordable burger place. The other is that if you order a shake in the drive through it's usually completely melted by the time you pull up. This is my #1 go to burger place in Austin. Nothing out of the ordinary. As much as I love their cheap yummy burgers, this location is forever screwing up my order. Long wait times and the no apology or recognition at all from the staff working there. We just moved to Austin and this was our first time at P.Terrys. The fries are amazing, the best I've had to be honest. My husband ordered the double cheeseburger and I had the chicken burger. Both were delicious, the patties well seasoned and I like the fact that you can add onions, pickles and jalapeños. We also had chocolate milkshakes which were pretty good too. Prices are very reasonable and portions are well sized. We went on a Sunday afternoon and service was top notch. read more

This location literally took 30-45 seconds after completing my order and pulling past the speaker to get my food last night around 9pm. Granted, there is not much to making a burger but if you frequent this restaurant enough you will know that is not always the case. This is my favorite PTerry's location because there is never a long line. Everytime I come, I am amazed at how inexpensive things are. I get the veggie burger (wrapped in lettuce) and it's less than $4! Their lemonade is awesome and I love how 50s-ish it is to market that their oatmeal cookies are made with real butter. read more

This place is a perfect example of having just the right amount of choices on a menu--no need to have endless options, just keep it simple. I enjoy their lettuce wrapped burgers with jalapeños, pickles, tomatoes, and bacon. Sometimes I even splurge a bit and get one of their delectable shakes. Best part is they are always open when I want them to be and they are a way better option than Whataburger! read more

I went back! And it was pretty damn tasty, I gotta say. The burgers are a little on the small size (as compared to Whataburger) but you can def taste the freshness in every bite. The fries were great, and I love that they didn't give me any static for asking for them with no salt, as some places have. I also like those big oatmeal choco chip cookies (I think they're only a dollar, and they're dope!). I also tried one of their breakfast sandwiches this morning and was quite pleased. I think next time I'll nix the cheese, but other than that I was happy with everything. I think they sell some b-fast potatoes or something like that...I'll give those a shot next time. I'm glad I gave this place another chance, because it's actually pretty darn good. Things to remember: This location is drive-through or walk up ONLY! There is no insidey parts for you to sit down. Also, they get pretty bust around lunch time, and since everything is cooed fresh, the line can get a little long. Last week I found myself at work, craving a burger like you wouldn't believe, and way too lazy to drive anywhere for lunch. So I decided to give Favor delivery a shot, and the menu for P. Terry's looked pretty reasonable. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries and started counting down the minutes. Some credit must go to the Favor delivery guy, who clearly went straight to P. Terry's the second my order was submitted. When he dropped it off to me, it was still hot, and everyone in my office wanted to know what smelled so good. The burger was just as I ordered it, and the taste was nothing short of perfect. I'm honestly not sure I've ever eaten a better burger in Austin. The fries weren't my favorite kind -- they're the skinny, kind of greasy homemade ones, I think, but they're great with some ketchup, and there were plenty in the order. Best of all, the pricing is totally fair, not that inflated $10 mess that so many burger places in town charge just because they offer wheat buns or whatever. I love that there's a drive-thru here but do wish there were a place to sit down and eat -- apparently the P. Terry's out by my parents' place has a dine-in option. But either way, this is a place I'll definitely be ordering through Favor again, not to mention swinging through on my way home from time to time. read more

I really like the one at Mopac but this one has no indoor seating, the driveway is messed up to where you cant get out with people coming in, all the parking spots are tied up with employee cars, the service is really slow (1 burger and a tea took ten minutes with no one in line ahead of us) and the employees seem really unhappy. But they did this in the way that people who walked up to the cashier cut everyone already waiting on the drive-through lanes. They also messed up my order that I waited half hour just for a burger.
