There's a nice ambiance in this restaurant. Service is fairly good too and beer is served at the perfect temperatures. My only complaint is in adding an up charge unknowingly to the customer. An $18 burger should not have a $2.50 up charge if onion rings are given as an option for sides. This is deceptive and did not go unnoticed. read more

We go here quite often, but lately they have had a musical group called DMT that we really enjoy and try to find out when they are playing. The food is always great and the last young man that was our server was the best ever. His name is Zach. I hope the office manager realizes what a tremendous great worker she has! I was in the mood for beef stew because of the cold weather. Thankfully Wexford Pub was able to satisfy my craving. It was delicious. We ended with some bread pudding slices with ice cream. I like a thick pan-style piece but it was okay. The entertainment added to the atmosphere to make a rather comfort-food night into something more festive. Good service. The bacon cheddar fries were OMG!! The boyf had the atomic burger and he devoured it!! He did say he didn't see the jalapeños or taste them So maybe the person doing the jelly and jalapeño took a break. ‍ It was really hot and the fans they have aren't really doing the job so I would suggest misters or portable AC units. Service was ok. Depends on what time you go. Especially when they are shouting across the way saying that it's not their turn to get tables and the other waitress said she doesn't want to take any tables today. The bar tender had her bar full and had to wait on us. The other girls looked like it's their shift and all 3 of them were on the phone for about 10min while customers were seated. I had a hair in my food and still got charged for it. We tried to come back to Wexford's and it disappointed us again. Wexfords is not how it used to be growing up here. This is lame. I've been here several times. The food is good; it's kind of a fun place. I arrived at 12:00, (on a Monday) and my friends shortly thereafter. We got our drinks, then after 30 minutes went looking for our server (who was also the bar tender). We told her we wanted to place our orders. She finally showed up. We placed our orders and our food showed up in a reasonable amount of time. Two of us ordered shepherds pie which was quite good. Another friend ordered a bunless cheeseburger, but "with lettuce and everything ". She received a burger patty with cheese...and absolutely nothing else. No condiments, no lettuce or tomato, no fries....nothing. After we ate we waited a good fifteen minutes and didn't get a bill. Finally asked another server if she could ask our server to bring our checks. When she arrived five minutes later we immediately handed her our credit cards indicating we were in somewhat of a hurry. Ten minutes later I went to the bar (where she was having a long chat with a male customer) and told her (truthfully) I had an appointment and needed to get my credit card back. If you're going for a lunch on a work day, you had better avoid this place. The food is somewhat pricey, but good. But the service is beyond slooooow. read more

Giving this place 4 stars only because they had a great live band on Thursday nights. The band was named Johnny and Kelly. Played all the great songs and they both had great personalities to match their stage presence! P. Wexford's door host was awesome, he was super kind and very receptive to our needs and wanted to accommodate our seating to our liking. Now for the actual bartender...her service wasn't the best, was mediocre, and in my opinion because I was not the opposite sex she never smiled once when I ordered or paid for our beers. I noticed the difference immediately when I saw her interactions with everyone else. When I asked for a sample of a beer that I have never tried before she made it seem like a big inconvenience. When I come back, I will try another server and see how it goes. read more

So VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! We have cut back on how much we go out to eat, so tonight we decided to order from P Wexford's Pub and boy do we wish we hadn't!! We ordered 1 lb of boneless chicken wings, more like odds and ends of chicken breast that were cooked dry!!!! And no flavor. Fish and chips. Fish was over cooked and dark brown with a side of ultra dry fries, and the tarter sauce was so sour!! Order of fried zucchini , while they were dark, the inside was cooked well, but again, no flavor. The dip sandwich, was also dry and came with no au jus. The burger that was ordered was just an okay burger. Not dry at least but nothing fancy. I am really hoping that this was just a bad April fools joke and they are going to refund our money as the food was so bad. This is a shame as the last time I went, maybe 4 years ago, it was good food. We will likely NEVER go back, and I will recommend that if you go, go and eat inside, as at least you can get something to drink to help with all the sawdust you will be eating!! read more

I have always loved P Wexford's. I actually met my BF there 3 years ago so it's always had a special place in my heart. I hate to leave a negative review, but I just had pretty terrible service. I ordered the Turkey cranberry and Jack. I was really excited because it's one of my favorite type of sandwiches no matter what restaurant I go to. She first brought me the entirely wrong sandwich, a Turkey avocado on white bread loaded with Mayo. I told her it wasn't what I ordered, that I ordered the Turkey cranberry Jack. She responded saying that you get a choice of bread and I didn't specify (and did didn't ask). It wasn't just the bread hun, it was the completely wrong sandwich. So she took it back and brought me what I photographed. It was a terrible cold sandwich on a roll, loaded with Mayo again, with cold Turkey and a slice of cranberry. Again for the SECOND time, the wrong sandwich. I had a couple bites and just basically gave up. I would have absolutely sent it back, but my BF hates confrontation and asked me not to. The waitress avoided us completely after her mess up, I had to even walk up to the bar and ask for ketchup. She still charged us for it and never even acknowledged that I barely ate it. Finally ate here after living in Modesto my whole life! Not too bad. Their menu is cool cause they have a little of everything from wraps to burgers to shepherds pie. I ended up with the buffalo chicken wrap and garlic fries. It wasn't bad but I felt like the chicken in the wrap was a little cold. I wasn't trying to complain about it though cause it already took forever to get our food. The service was slow. Took almost 20 minutes just to get our checks and longer for us to pay and leave. This whole silly crew looked at me like I stole something from them. I ordered two beers and as I sat the intensity of their hatred grew. This is the most unwelcome bar I have sat in in my years.
