This restaurant is extremely deceiving from the outside. You literally get the quality you pay for in your steak. I have the ribs and my husband had the steak and amazingly enough, both were very good. My ribs were fall off the bone quality and my husband steak was as he requested (rare). Customer service was exceptional, and the price was reasonable for a "steakhouse". Quality of food: A Quality of service: A Price: $$

I think the food is priced fairly for the quality and quantity. Granted I haven't been there during a rush, but either way the wait staff has always been courteous and attentive.

The best seasoned huge prime rib Cattleman's cut was amazing the coleslaw is also different and the baked potato came straight from Idaho ginormous

Anything you get is going to be a wonderful meal. Georges has been a local favorite with good size portions at decent prices. I love their pork chops, chicken wings and well....everything. They have a really good bar too. Great drinks You'll always get a basket of break and fresh butter served to you when seated and then it's going to be a hard choice due to all the great options. That's why you'll need to come back multiple times in order to try their entire menu out. Plenty of parking in the lot as well as the street.

After picture, I tried to finish this prime rib it's 18 oz. First prime rib I could not finish in my lifetime I'm 51!

So I usually get a ribeye, but I didn't eat breakfast and went to gym so I was starving the prime rib has 3 cuts I went for the biggest 18 oz! This was the best prime rib I ever have had 1-1/2 or maybe even 1-3/4" thick perfectly prepared! I could not finish I will post a before and after pictures! Next time I'm here going to try the ribeye! If you like Prime rib you have to check out George's steakhouse in at and grill in Modesto!

Wow!! My first time trying George's and I am amazed with the quality of food and service. Loved the prime rib skillet. The prime rib was wonderfully seasoned on a bed of crispy fries and topped with sautéed veggies. I never finish my meals, but this time was an exception! Must try!!

    Prime Rib Roast

We ordered the Filet Mignon and the 14oz. Prime Rib dinners. Also ordered deep fried Zucchini appetizer. The zucchini was delicious and the coating was seasoned to perfection. The Filet Mignon meal was average but the Prime Rib was under seasoned and had a shellac look on it???

First time here. No wait to get in which was nice. Basket of bread and garlic butter was a good touch. They were on it for drinks and refills as well. We had the prime rib, ribeye, personal pizza and fish/chips. The service was great. The food was good. The only part that was off was the prime rib was supposed to be medium rare and it was medium well. All in all we would go back.

Staff was super friendly, went out of their way to make sure the tables were tidy, and refilled drinks really quick. The restaurant is smaller than you expect it to be, but it is cozy, friendly, and not overly loud. We only had a 10 minute wait when we arrived and they were packed. Our waiter Kyle was on point, introduced himself and dropped the special of the day with gusto. If I hadn't already had a ton of carbs for the day I would have gone with it. Ended up ordering the scallops, and fried zucchini appetizers. Scallops are served almost like a soup. The sauce in the bowl was to die for. I'm thinking white wine, and lemon were the major components. It was phenomenal. Fried zucchini was super tasty and is coming home with us. I'd swear it was enough to feed 4 people. For mains, we ordered pot roast and fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Wife loved the pasta and chicken. Surprisingly enough she ate it all, none to go which is super rare for her. Pot roast was fantastic. Mashed potatoes were on point, the mixed vegetables were amazing. When you get broccoli and carrots on the same plate and neither have a mushy texture it makes me happy Will definitely be back again in the future.

Had an overnight work trip that had me in Modesto so I was trying to find something fun to eat…read more After a bit of research I found this place. I showed up around 7pm and I thought it might have been closed because no one was here. But they were open. I ordered a Bauer burger with the house seasoned fries. They asked how I'd like the egg cooked and the burger cooked: I asked for medium for both. Given how dead the place was, it did take a minute to get my food. The burger was ok, not worth $21. The bun fell apart very quickly which is a bit of a cardinal sin in the burger game. The bacon on the burger was not bacon strips but a bit of bacon crumble. The patty was a bit overcooked so it was dry and it wasn't seasoned so it was bland. The egg was cooked perfectly, but the aioli and the egg yolk with a disintegrated bun made for a huge mess. The fries were interesting. The house seasoned fries are not salted. So the fries were almost sweet due to the spices, but no salt. And they do not have regular table ketchup or malt vinegar. I did ask for some ketchup and they brought me their house ketchup. While not like a classic ketchup, it was actually quite good. Oh, be aware. They will charge you a 4% fee when they bring you the check (what would have happened if I'd paid with cash?). I do not see anywhere on the menu where they say their is a payment fee so that is a pretty shady business practice. Overall: meh. I think for the price point the burger should have been great, but sadly I can't say it was great or even good. I'd likely not return.

I know Texas Roadhouse has enough different foods to please everybody's different tastes. I called in ahead and got my name on the waiting list. This is the way to go so you don't have to wait in line a long time. I saw all the raw steaks on display as we entered, and sometimes I pick out my particular steak from the case and let them know. This time I just went in and will order at the table. We get seated and drink orders taken and those tasty bread rolls appear at our table. My guys are hungry so they dig in to those right away. This Texas Roadhouse dining area looks very similar to most all the locations. We order, I start with some appetizers for the crew, the loaded potato skins. I get a ribeye steak, as do some of the other guys. One guy gets the pork chop. We all get Caesar Salads with our meals. The food arrives and it all looks good. My steak is cooked as ordered. At least no one at the table ordered their steak well done! Texas Roadhouse is a good choice when trying to please more than you and one other person. Service is friendly and efficient. Good food but questionable service…read more At this Texas Roadhouse location in the past, I've never experienced any issues. This time, however, our server did a very poor job. When we got to the table, we noticed there were only two plates for our party of three. We asked for an additional plate, he said he would bring one, but then never came back. We had to ask another nearby server if one could be grabbed for us. They grabbed the plate from a stack that was literally two feet away from our table. This was frustrating because what could have been a five second task turned into an inconvenience for us as well as another staff member. Even after we got our food, we were annoyed with the server. We needed drink refills and it felt like he was deliberately ignoring us. There was a group of four young men (around the server's age) who kept ordering rounds of beer sitting at the table next to us. The server kept only going back to that table and helping them out. He would look directly at our table, and then go back to chat with the one next to us. When we were finally able to flag him down for drink and bread refills, he walked away and brought us neither. When he came back to our section, he went straight back to that other table. We asked him a second time for the refills and he acted like we had never received the request in the first place. He also never cleared our table. Usually, when the main dishes came out, the server would take the small plates and remove empty cups and bread baskets. We were left with the empty trays and plates which made our table feel super crowded and dirty. Despite this really annoying service, the food was really good. The kitchen never misses here. I ordered the beef tips, loaded mashed potatoes, and a Caesar salad. The meat was super tender and everything was very flavorful. This evening it was bustling and crowded as usual. It was a little rowdy but nothing unexpected. Hopefully next time will be better!

When we arrived, we dropped off a cake and candle at the front counter and told them it was a surprise birthday cake and asked if they would be able to set up and bring it out once we finish our dinner. They said "yes". We do this all the time with other restaurants and have never had any issues. Normally, cake is brought out and candle that we provide is lit. Some restaurants even go as far as singing happy birthday. We finished our food and sat there for a while waiting for the server, Dolly, who was nowhere to be found. So we started stacking our plates to the side to get ready for the cake. When we finally saw her, we whispered to her that we were ready for the surprise cake. She went back into the kitchen and came out with the cake still in the box and candles still in the package and says out loud "here's your birthday cake" in front of the whole party. We asked her if they had a lighter and lit the candles ourselves. We sang Happy Birthday and enjoyed our cake next to our dirty dishes from our dinner that still have not been collected. A previous time eating here, my friend ordered takeout for her husband after we dined in. My friend lives in a different city. By the time she got home, she realized that 1 of 2 of what she ordered was missing. She called and told her she wasn't going to drive back but they were kind enough to comp her next meal. They said they can come back when she's back in town again to pick up a voucher. When she went to pick up the voucher, 2 other people were there picking up vouchers for missing orders too. Apparently, it's a common thing that happens. The food itself is decent and price is reasonable for what you're getting. However, the service is horrible from my handful of experiences here.

Sadly disappointed…read more My friends and I stopped by Commonwealth on a Saturday afternoon for a late brunch. It was a beautiful day so it was busy for both indoor and outdoor seating. Here, you order your food, grab a number, and find your own seat for the food to be brought out to you. We sat at a table outside to decide what to order. There were no menus available so we just had to search for it online before heading inside to order. Despite being third in line from the register, we had an extremely long wait to order. There was only one person running the register who also had to make the drinks, meaning the service incredibly slow. We wanted to order the five taco platter, garlic fries, chicken Caesar salad, and mimosa pitcher. Sadly, we were only able to get the pitcher and salad. The cashier told us "sorry, we aren't doing fries right now." Not doing fries? Every plate in the vicinity had fries on them. She said that because it was brunch hour, only food on the brunch menu could be ordered. We looked at the brunch menu again and literally saw garlic fries as an option as a side for the burgers/sandwiches. No where did it specify that you can't order off the other menu and both were available online. What bothered us about this is that we placed this order at around 1:50pm, and brunch ended at 2:00pm. I understand that we are not entitled to things on the lunch menu during brunch-time for items like the tacos, but considering the menu swap was less than 10 minutes away and they were quite literally were "doing fries" at the time, it didn't make much sense to us. The only food that we ended up ordering was the Chicken Caesar Salad. This one dish took a super long time to receive. By the time it was brought out, the three of us nearly finished the Mimosa pitcher. The waitress noticed we had no silverware and said she would go grab us some. Because of how the service had been going thus far, we placed a bet on whether or not the waitress would come back with the silverware. Surprise, surprise. She didn't. We had to go inside later and search for silverware ourselves. We weren't even able to get sharing plates which was upsetting since the waitress asked us if we would be sharing the salad. The salad itself looked delicious, but was bland. The dressing was missing that zing and zest that a Caesar dressing typically has. I do appreciate that is was a chopped salad, had avocado, and seasoned croutons. It is just unfortunate that it was lacking any flavor at all. The food prices are quite affordable for the quantity of food you receive though. This experience was disappointing because I was so optimistic about the place. The menu looked good, it had fun and casual vibes and a cool crowd of people. If Commonwealth worked towards better service practices, it would have been a more positive experience.
