Absolutely terrible service and quality. After purchasing new run-flat tires, one developed a side wall defect (bubble) after 6 months (less than 2,000 miles) and needed replacing. Travis assured me there would be a credit for the tire replacement. Endless phone calls went unanswered or no return call/text. After 6 weeks, Travis finally informed me the credit was approved, but never returned a call or text to tell me how much or what credit card would be credited. Reached Clause today, only for him to fabricate a story that the credit was not approved, and then act surprised when I told him Travis had assured me it was approved. "He will look into it" Regardless of the credit for the tire, the customer service is SEVERELY lacking and the tire quality is poor. read more

Travis was amazing! I called 45 minutes before closing to see if they were able to inflate my tires. When I got there, Travis came out to add air to my tires. After checking the PSI and adding air, he mentioned the front left tire was losing the most air. I mentioned to him that my car indicated low tire pressure just a couple weeks ago and he advised me to monitor my tire pressure and if it kept losing air, to bring it back during my lunch hour since I work close by. CEC Wheels - 22" wheels - Tires Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Initially, I thought my experience with CEC Wheels was going to be very good. My in-person interactions and dealings were all with Claus, the owner. We were making very small modifications to my Porsche, including the matting of my back emblems and tint. The prices initially quoted were very high ($300 for labor to paint and then spend 20 minutes installing emblems - really?), and when I said I would only pay $200 for labor, CEC agreed without a moment's hesitation, suggesting they obviously threw out an inflated quote. CEC also wanted nearly $295 to tint my windows, which was 50% more than what I've paid for each of my last five cars. Ultimately, they offered to do it for $250 and I agreed because it would be more convenient to have the work done at one time. CEC wanted full payment in advance. A little odd, but I agreed. Claus and I agreed in writing on the day my car would be brought in and I said I would bring it in this past Wednesday morning. I was there when they opened at 9:00 a.m. The guy who was there (not Claus) said I was not supposed to be there until 9:30 (not true), and then said the tint guy would not be there until about 9:45. I had previously told Claus that I could not wait and made arrangements to have them drop me off at my nearby office. I told whoever I was dealing with that I had a conference call at 9:30 that I needed to take - this seemed to fall on totally deaf ears, as he was walking around and making calls. I was completely frustrated and more than a couple times the CEC employee just said "you can cancel this altogether," and he wasn't the slightest bit apologetic. Whatever their story about their tint guy, it ultimately turned out not to be true - he was NOT EVEN SCHEDULED TO COME THAT DAY. The CEC employee, again, was not apologetic. He simply invited me to bring my car in a second time and by no means suggested compensating me and once again told me I could cancel the entire work order - it was as if he really just did not care. I finally told them just to refund the tint cost. This worked out because one thing they had not told me was that they only had three tint grades (most auto tinting places have more tint options than that) and none were really to my liking, especially for the premium price CEC wanted me to pay. Despite Claus having assured me I would have a ride to the office, CEC had now kept me there right up until my conference call time, and its employee said the job of installing the emblems would take "20 minutes" and they would call me an Uber or I could wait. Some customer service. Just wanting to save myself from ever having to return one more time, I opted to wait. The "20 minutes" was more like 45-50 minutes. Claus never showed up during the hour and a half I was there. This occurred this past Wednesday morning and I am writing this review as of Saturday morning. As of today, Claus has never once called or e-mailed me to apologize for the confusion or inconvenience. In my view, he should be utterly embarrassed at how CEC handled this job. I had been contemplating more substantial and costly modifications by them, and could have been a great referral source, but now there is absolutely no chance I would use them again or recommend them to anyone. Incidentally, I went to CEC instead of Specialty Car Craft because of its proximity to my office and what I perceived as greater convenience. However, the degree of attention and customer service at Specialty Car Craft far exceeded that which I received at CEC. Shop around people. There are a lot of options in LA. read more

I took my Audi RS5 to CEC and received input from Ron on some various options to make some upgrades. I ended up having them change the rims (which they painted to match the exterior of the car), modify the interior with red suede accents, change the suspension, tint the windows, paint the emblems and remove the resonator. This is a first-class operation, a top-tier service and and they provide the highest quality of service and attention to detail. If you are looking for a high-end customization of your ride, I highly recommend CEC for their input, quality of work, and level of service. The showroom has tons of exotics to always check out. They carry a large stock of wheels and are the official distributor for Techart, Brabus, AC Schnitzer, and Novitec Rosso. Earlier this week I visited CEC for a private Microsoft party. This place held was a great host for the party and provided a perfect atmosphere for the video game launch we were attending. The pricing was LOWER than those quoted by their competitors - including Tire Rack - as was the mounting and installation. Very happy I went to CEC for my wheels. I knew nothing about tires and wheels when I walked in the door and started shopping. I had just purchased my first car on my own and wanted it to look a certain way. I described to the salesman what I wanted and he pointed me in the right direction. Since my car was new, they swapped my stock tires with some low profile ones that I wanted. It was nice that I didn't have to go list my own tires on eBay since I probably wouldn't get a great price for them on my own. I chose 22" black wheels with some chrome and they look great on my car! It really was exactly what I was looking for. They also tinted my front windows, which really completed the look. I recently had to get all four new tires since it had been a few years, and the tire shop was really pushing for me to get thicker tires and smaller wheels for safety concerns... They said the tires that were put on my car did not support the weight of my vehicle. I did not change out my wheels because I love them and it's what makes my car look better than most Q7s on the road, but I did go with a tiny bit thicker of wheels just because of the price. They were about $400 less expensive than the ones I had on there... With the internet it is pretty easy to price compare and I think I got a fair deal. And let's be honest, the business needs to make a profit especially in that location! Thanks for the quality work you guys did on my car! Nice selection, but heavily pushes cosmetic over performance. Somewhat conservative in the products offered, with majority of the selections being a CEC designed part, but if you're gung-ho about racing, is one of the few shops that can get you the needed go-fast parts as well as install them. Love these guys I bought wheels from them for years at their other location in Gardena. If you are looking for a nice set of wheels that everyone and there brother does not have try CEC.
