Our experience started out great--we received a warm welcome at the door and the associate in the shoe department was very helpful in finding the right size for my son. Unfortunately, the trip was ruined by an interaction near the basketball section. My son picked up a small football and tossed it to me from about 5 feet away. Immediately, an employee behind a clothing rack snapped, "Don't throw balls in here." It was so abrasive that my 5-year-old's immediate reaction was, "That was rude." While I understand store safety, a little patience goes a long way in a sports store catering to children. A simple, "Hey guys, let's save the playing for the field!" would have sufficed. Instead, it completely dampened our mood and we won't be rushing back anytime soon.

All their associates in the different departments have great knowledge about what they sell in the department they are in. Even the cashiers are knowledgeable about everything. She knows what you need, makes suggestions and gets you into a pair of shoes you will love. Then you go to the cashiers and are rung up by Richard. He constantly makes me laugh. Plus he is very knowledgeable. This store is always clean. Their bathrooms are always clean and smell nice. Every item is in its place. It is very well stocked. I'm not showing everything in the store because people many times use our pictures to steal because they know where items are kept. At least that is why Tiffiny's would not allow me to take pictures. You can custom order a jersey with your name on . Just ask them how. You can get every kind of sports equipment you want. Golfing, Basketball, football, soccer, tennis, but no camping equipment. They have treadmills and workout clothes and equipment. They sell water bottles and hand warmers. They have golf watches which is interesting. I love Dicks. Mind you, we were carrying product that we purchased shortly after but for whatever reason this gentleman found it necessary to march out and essentially throw a thinly veiled accusation at us. Cameron and Jaro were incredibly patient and knowledgeable as I worked through my list...and when none of them quite worked, Cameron suggested a pair I never would have chosen on my own. It ended up being absolutely perfect for me. I couldn't be more thrilled -- and for the first time in a long time, my feet don't hurt. Their communication was excellent, they were never pushy, and their follow-up afterward was terrific. The entire experience felt thoughtful and personalized.
