Very nice classic/local salon. I called in the morning (Monday) and was able to book for a full acrylic set that afternoon at 1pm. I was promptly seated and showed an inspo photo of red almond nails. Unfortunately I didn't get the nail tech's name, but she was very kind, gentle, and really took her time. A couple of nails are a little messy in terms of the polish work, and they aren't very narrow for acrylics/almond shape but they do look nice if you don't scrutinize them too too much. The salon really filled up for a Monday afternoon so I can tell they have a loyal clientele. I would recommend overall! read more

I had an appointment scheduled for 2 PM at Pablo Nails in Jacksonville, FL. (I was a frequent client), at 12:36 PM, I received a call from the salon asking me to come at 1 PM instead. Confused, I asked for confirmation--was this a mistake? Was I truly being rescheduled? I was assured that yes, I should now arrive at 1 PM. So, I adjusted my plans, showed up at 1 PM, and was immediately asked who I was and whether I had an appointment at all. I explained the situation, even showed my call log proving they had changed my appointment, only to be told, "Oh, we didn't mean to call you--you're still scheduled for 2 PM." At no point did anyone acknowledge the inconvenience they caused me or offer any effort to make up for the wasted time. No apology. No accommodation. Just carelessness and confusion that left me feeling completely disregarded as a customer. Appointments require professionalism and organization--something Pablo Nails clearly struggles with. If you value your time and a business that respects its customers, I strongly suggest going elsewhere. read more

I came here on a whim after doing some thrift shopping across the street. Was not disappointed. This was probably one of the most meticulous gel polish manicures I've ever received. I work in a restaurant so I've constantly got my hands in chemicals and my skin drys and peels pretty badly but they fixed it up great. They were very well staffed and took me in immediately despite being very busy. Will definitely be coming back. read more

Today was my first visit to Pablo nail - my regular place was closed- so I decided to check it out. They were properly staffed to handle after church crowd. Loads of color choices. I do sns and they had lots of choices. My nail tech was quick and thorough. He also did this amazing hot towel neck massage which was everything!! Then ended with a hand and lower arm massage! The business was clean and inviting. And they had Christmas music playing and cute scenes on the tv that got you in the spirit. Prices were good and service was above what I expected. Came here for a manicure on a whim. Not very sanitary. None of the tools were soaked in barbicide or sanitized before use, the Nail clipper, cuticle cutter, and other metal tools were just pulled out of random drawers. Nail file looked very used and nail buffer was worn down versus at other nail salons I've been to which open a new individual packet of personal, disposable tools for each client. For this reason I will not be back. More like 2.5 stars since the actual manicure service was not bad BUT I did not get polish so not sure how well the polish would have been done. read more

I came in on a busy Friday evening with no appt. They took me anyways when other salons had turned me away. Thu Tran did an amazing job on my nails. To me seat number 5 is the best seat in the house. She did a full set of pink and whites and made sure they where perfect. I was very impressed that even though she was busy she didn't cut any corners or do a rush job to get me out of there. She took her time and made sure everything was perfect. The pricing was amazing and way less than I expected. They also have a points system so you can be rewarded for your returned business. This salon is hard working and dedicated to making sure your nails look fabulous no matter how busy they are. They took detailed care of my nails and made sure everything was perfect - the shape, length, if I liked the color I chose, etc. She also gave me a back massage and hand/arm massage! Sadly, I have to update my review of this place. I've been here about 6 times for gel manicures and regular pedicures. The last time I was in, the technician did not seal the coat on the tips properly for my gel manicure and the tips of ALL my fingers chipped off after 2 days. I went back to get it fixed, and the technician who helped me tried to blame it on me, saying gel manicures on longer nails "are not guaranteed" and I should have been more careful with them. I've been getting gel manicures for a year now and I have NEVER had this problem, which would indicate it's a problem with the technician, not myself. As far as "fixing" it, she tried to just paint the ends and put a clear coat over it, which looked awful (you could clearly see where the new paint was added). When I said something about it, that's when she got snappy with me. I won't come back because of this. read more

Had a great experience here on a Sunday afternoon. Close to home. They excel on the basics: offered me a drink, had massage chairs that work, an excellent massage during my pedicure, great paint-job on my toes, and fair prices. I will most definitely be back. I had to wait almost an hour for a pedicure midday on a Tuesday. It seems a bit understaffed and unorganized. My friend got a Shellac manicure and one finger nail peeled off completely less than an hour after we left the salon. I didn't even know that was possible. She went back and they fixed it free of charge. The staff was friendly but I don't think I'll be back since there are hundreds of other nail salons in Jacksonville. read more

Used to go to Pablo nail all the time, stopped going because they were rough and it seems like my pedicures never last. Went back today because it was close and convenient. Called well ahead and made an appointment. Still have to wait over 30 minutes And then they rushed my mom and me both through our pedicures, my nail polish does not even cover the end of my toenails and they were so rough the entire time. Not sure why this has only 3.5 stars but I loved them! I needed to be in and out on a Saturday and I was. The are EXTREMELY friendly! That is sometimes hard to find at nail salons. I would definitely come back and plan on it. Of note they do not take gratuity on cards so bring cash if you would like to tip. Also closed on Tuesdays. I've seen people complaining about the pricing but I haven't paid yet so I'm not sure but I'm sure it's similar to the other salons. Try this place out! read more

i went to pablo nail to get a gel polish change, not a manicure. they have an advertisement right out on the sidewalk for their $15 shellac polish which is exactly what i wanted. as i was seated i let my nail technician know that i wanted the $15 polish change, not the manicure. she kept insisting that i get that $25 manicure and after denying twice she kept pushing it until i finally said yes. i did not want to spend $30 on my nails that day, as it was the end of the week and i hadn't been paid. so the manicure was pretty standard, much like any other manicure you would get at any other salon, the color i chose turned out nice. but it's a week and a half later and the color has started to turn yellow!? when i first got my nails done the color was a mauve-taupe color, they have turned into an almost green tinted nude color (see pictures). i don't know what's up with that, if it's the salon or just the polish color i picked but i haven't ever seen this happen before. color stayed on nicely hasn't chipped or anything, just the weird color change called for the 3-stars. read more

Pedicure looked like I could have done it myself and chipped at the two day mark. Looked very bad anyway. Also had a gel manicure done which started to lift after only 1 day. By day three every nail except one had lifted and two were even lifting at the head of the nail also. Went back in today to show them and explained what had happened, (today was only 5 full days from when I had these done), and the asked if I wanted to have them re-painted. I saw I would have them re-done if I didn't have to pay for another manicure and the woman stated I would have to pay. Went ahead and just asked them to please remove them which they did and proceeded to charge me a $5 removal fee. Normally my gel nails last 2-3 weeks without lifting. No one apologized or even acted like this was a problem. Basically spent $60 total and 2.5 hours of time on this. Don't bother and I will not go back. Just for the record my nail technician was a male who was very nice just not good at gel I guess. The women today at the salon could have fixed the situation but they did not. read more

I've been going to Pablo Nails since they first opened. They are customer-oriented, friendly and going there is always a treat. They're my "Spa Day" fix. They're a full-service salon and their free-hand art work is amazing. Even without an appointment on a Saturday, I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes and you are greeted and asked what you'd like done as soon as you walk in the door. And yes, the upgraded pedicures are amazing. read more
