Amazing place to get a pedicure, everyone was very nice! Would highly recommend. Clean environment and nice massaging chairs.

Beautiful work, closed on Mondays, but not too crowded the other days of the week. To me, their prices seem a little lower than some of the other salons in the area. read more

This is the first time I've had my nails done by a new tech and didn't have to tell them how to "fix" what they've done. I showed Kelli a picture of what I liked and she knew I wanted them to look natural. She's very professional and knows what she is doing! I will be one of her regulars for now on. :) Now on to the pedicure... Tommy was AMAZING!!! It was more like a massage with a pedicure than a pedicure with a mini massage. I could tell he had experience as a masseuse. By far, this was one of the best pedicures I've ever had. He took his time and I definitely did not feel rushed. I will definitely return every two weeks for Kelli and Tommy! The prices are reasonable, the salon is clean and the customer service is excellent. read more

I have lived close to Brilliant Nails and had been to several nail salons in the area. Was never really happy about the outcome until i went to Brilliant Nails and Spa ! I think I've finally "nailed" it ...pun intended ! It is relaxing and peaceful and Kelly & Leigh Ann are so detailed in there nail services. The greatest thing is that they free hand paint designs of flowers if you request. I was spoiled with this when I lived in California so really happy to have flowers on my big toes. read more

Pros: Very friendly people. Extremely clean bathrooms. Very good pricing for services. Cons: My 40-45 pedicure last 36 minutes Only four therapists on duty, so wait was long Not all the services listed on the pricing sheet were actually performed. There is a huge push for up-selling for every choice you make. ("This is a much better polish for only $8 more", "oh, if you pay $5 more you get better options". I will readily admit that people here are friendly and nice. The manager was very pleasant and accommodating. The prices are very good and the chairs (at least the ones that worked) gave good massage therapy. My daughter really loved her pedicure and rated it five stars, there was also a gentleman in there that seems to get rave reviews; he seemed to really go above and beyond and his clients looked like they were in heaven. He even followed one customer out the door to make sure she got to her car. But I can only gauge on the treatment I received and not what others received. My therapist was clearly sick, kept wiping her nose, was annoyed I would not upgrade to ultimate level (I chose the super deluxe, two levels above the basic) and snatched the pricing guide from me when I started looking at what was supposed to be included with my chosen pedicure. My pedicure was listed at 40-45 minutes and it lasted a crisp 36 minutes. She refused my request for a liner and allowed my tootsies to soaked in the water about 20 seconds before she started in. When I realized I was getting poor service, I began to compliment her and thank her and she did slow down a little and show some care, but I still walked away with a hangnail and a feeling I would never go back there again. I realize that everyone is not equal when you get personalized service like pedicures. But with only four therapists, you have a 25% of having a bad experience and a 75% chance if getting a great one. My odds were against me this read more

My first experience at Brilliant Nails and Spa was fabulous! I went the Thursday before Easter after work for a pedicure. I didn't want to wait until Friday or Saturday and have to deal with the crowds. I waited about 10 minutes and then was escorted to my pedicure chair. I selected a polish color from their tower. The pedicure chair was very nice and provided relief to my tight back muscles. And I was impressed that I didn't smell acrylic nails. I chose the deluxe pedicure for $32. Tommy took great care of me! I'm so glad I spent a little extra money to get more of a foot and leg massage. He joked with me and made me laugh several times. I told him it was my first time at the spa and he told me it was his first time giving a pedicure LOL! Tommy told me they have on average about a 95% return rate at the salon. And I can understand why! One regular customer who was sitting near me said she'd been coming here for years and wouldn't go anywhere else. I have been trying to find a nail spa since I moved to Jacksonville in 2014. I have been to nearly 20 different nail salons and I think I have finally found my new nail salon home! read more

I posted a review of this location about six months ago warning others about weird things that happened during the pedicure. Since then I have received a few people voting for my review as "funny" and one lady taking the time to write a review referencing my review and calling me sensitive. I want to elaborate on my experience so it doesn't happen to anyone else. TRIGGER WARNING - I received a pedicure from the male owner. At one point he pulled my left leg off the cushion where it rests and began massaging my leg in between his spread legs while sitting in a swivel chair. My foot (while being in the bag with paraffin wax) was now resting in his crotch between his legs. He was massaging my leg so aggressively that my leg is going back and forth and back and forth while still being in his crotch. He continued to do this until I could feel his boner through his pants and through the paraffin wax bag on the bottom of my foot. The whole time I was telling myself it was his belt buckle so I wouldn't freak out, but once he was done massaging my leg and got up, I noticed he didn't have a belt on. As if that wasn't bad enough, he would also scratch and grip my legs and once going up above my knee to grip his hands above my knee. The whole thing was incredibly uncomfortable and could be labeled a sexual assault. I can assure you this is not the first time he has done this. I'm writing this because children go here and I would hate for this to happen to them and them not understand what's going on. Please please please do not go to this location. read more

* disclaimer: I hate leaving negative reviews as I value peoples time and skills, but I had to post this. Please read ... POSITIVE: walk-in service, no appt needed, pedicure came out nicely NEGATIVE: 1. limited nail color selection 2. I agreed to do get gel manicure done with matching regular paint for my feet; when I selected a gel color for my hands, I get told there is no matching regular polish. That sucks, but whatever, so I chose another color (not at all what I originally wanted, but good enough). I asked if the gel color matched and was told yes, not to worry... 3. I asked for basic pedicure with callus remover, was told to upgrade to deluxe pedicure (asked if it included callus remover, as it was safe to assume when told to upgrade), and got affirmation, but then I got charged $6 extra for callous remover at time of checkout. 4. Worst part: - upon getting the manicure, I get cuts/wounds by the cuticle cutter & buffer - first coat of gel polish is not matching the toes, but I know sometimes it takes two coats to really compare, so I let her begin the second coat--completely different color (I mean bright purple vs red)! - I immediately tell her the colors don't match, but they argued, saying it matched, and the second help. - I refused, and said I was not going to walk out of the salon with those that color nails, and asked to get the soaking process started. - Owner/manager, I suppose, came over told me to "relax", that they were going to figure out how to match the color. - I refused that and told her I was just going to leave with the pedicure and basic manicure. - Nail tech begins to remove the gel polish with the buffing machine, tears up my cuticle again to where it's bleeding; did not remove all the polish, as you can see in the picture, then told me she was not going to polish my nails at all. I asked her if she could do clear, to which she agreed and did. I ended up spending $58 for all that and I still have to go home and fix my nails and paint them myself. A WORD TO THE WISE: do not waste your time or money here. read more

I came by for a basic manicure, pedicure, and lip wax. Wound up letting the gentleman who did my toes also do a cleanup on my brows. I was a little nervous when I went in because the OPI polishes had settled and a lot had separated, but I guess everyone but me is getting gel these days. I very impressed with the quality of service from people who worked on me. They seemed kind and were friendly and did a great job. I will come back here when I am in the area again. read more

Recently moved to JAX from Seattle and was dreading finding a new nail place, but this place did not disappoint!! Kelly did my nails and she had great attention to detail, I didn't need to tell her to correct anything. I showed her a pic of the nails I wanted and she made it work with my length. The pedicure was the bomb.com, the chair alone had me asleep and I would have still been happy without the hot stone and towel. It wasn't packed at all and is a fairly clean establishment. All around fabulous experience and have definitely found my new nail home read more

Tommy is a very good owner of this place and he does give really good massages. He just really wants a person to be relaxed and be happy with the service. read more

Location: in the same plaza as Hobby Lobby and Eleven22. Near Surfwiches, Pura Vida, and Taco Libre. Background: cute family owned business. Tommy and his wife are adorable with their daughters (one working and a little one playing) and his mother also there today. His mother worked on my mani and gel mani ($50, standard pricing in my past). Things that stood out: Service was phenomenal. Tommy and his wife were so friendly, accommodating, and genuinely nice. My nail tech (his mom) was gentle and meticulous. Hot stones with my pedi. No dust or bubbles in my polish (hate that!) and she went up to the cuticle. One thing that was missing was soaking my hands for my mani, which was the only thing missing, but she did a great job regardless. I will return (and I hate nail salons)! read more

12/10 experience!! Tommy gave me a deluxe Pedicure & the massage was amazing as well! Definitely recommend:)

Went in for a pedicure with my boyfriend. We were immediately seated in the massage chair with no wait. Best pedicure I have ever gotten but far from the most expensive. We got the basic hot stone pedicure for $25. We also got the extra callous removal for $5 more. Definitely worth it. My feet are the most smooth they have ever been. The massage went all the way up to the knees and lasted 15-20 minutes. 10 outta 10 would recommend! read more

My husband and I came into jax for an appointment at Mayo Clinic and had extra time in between appointments. We decided to get pedicures and just googled a business in the area. This was my second time at Brilliant Nails. The first visit was just as they opened and I was helped by the lady. She was very nice. This second time was a couple of days ago & after being started by the lady again (unfortunately, I didn't get her name), Tommy helped me. Although he did a good job on my pedicure I really didn't like that he was pushing more services for me to try. He made several comments on upgraded pedicures...I have been going to nail salons for many many years, I know what salons offer & I am just looking for a place that is reasonably priced & does a good job. That really turned me off to this place so I'm unsure I if I will return. read more

Absolutely in love with this nail salon. I just moved here from Boston and finding a good nail salon was probably at the top of my list. Wasn't to busy around the time we went so i got seen pretty quick. I got a full set with gel and a hot stone pedicure and let me tell you ... amazing!!! With my pedicure she took her time. She asked me if she was hurting me and overall just paid attention to my needs. My full set was amazing as well. She took her time and made sure along the way i was satisfied with what she was doing. When i was done i was offered a drink while waiting for my ride. Amazing hospitality at this nail salon and they will definitely be seeing me again soon read more

I love that I found him again! I went to Tommy when he was in the Bj's shopping center 15 years ago. He moved, and I lost my favorite nail person. After reading good reviews on this salon and saw "Tommy" and I thought, could this be him?? I called and made an appointment and I saw so happy when I walked in and it was him!!! He gives a great pedi, and wonderful massage. That has always been the most important part of my pedi!! I loved the hot stones and the scrub he used. I will continue to get my nails done here. I am so impressed with this place! I came in for a mani-pedi to relax and not only are the prices pretty cheap, but the staff is so nice! The owner Tommy introduced himself to me and chatted for a while. The ladies doing my nails did a great job as well. Clean tools and space. Hands down the BEST massage chairs I have ever been in- the chair massages your butt area and it was SO great for my sciatic nerve issues that I've had during my pregnancy. The staff was friendly but almost a little too friendly. I felt a little uncomfortable when a male was waxing my eyebrows and touching my face. But further than that, my gel manicure barely lasted a week. Usually when I get gel it will last at least 2 weeks. I was a little disappointed when I spent almost $30 and my nail polished started chipping after a few days. I had high hopes for this place based on the words, but I was disappointed with my results. read more

I found this nail salon highly rated on Yelp. I decided to try it out and was most pleased I did. I got my first gel manicure and I love it. The manager, Tommy, who did my nails was great to converse with and helped me pick a color that was most flattering to my skin tone. I have not had my nails done in years, so this was a special treat and Tommy did a great job making me comfortable. He is clearly very detail oriented and took the time to ensure he was careful and precise in his work. I will definitely be going back the next tine I am due. I would definitely recommend this salon to others. Ask for Tommy! He will take great care of you. read more

My favorite new nail salon!! Tommy is the best- he's the owner but don't worry if you don't get him- the whole family is awesome! Everything went great- I got a gel manicure and it looks beautiful- I got a little arm massage after and then I got a hot stone pedicure (I think it's the basic one) and it was fabulous!
