Toasted me for a week. I followed up 3 times. Finally received a response on the 18th saying. We can schedule you in November if it's not raining. I understand roofers get busy but be upfront when you come to quote. If I was selling my house would you fit me in faster. Now I am scrambling to find a new roofer.

One of the better companies I've worked with on my 30 years here in the Richmond Annex. I needed a reroof on my Richmond Annex house. I found three roofing references from contractors I had worked with in the past. I also had two additional companies I found on Yelp come out (Above and Beyond was one of them), for a total of 5 estimates. One estimate was from an unlicensed roofer, so no warranty but probably the cheapest. The rest were all established brick and mortar companies, including Above and Beyond Roofing (Felix Howard). Above and Beyond came out, walked the roof, explained in detail the processes and made sure I understood the issues that might arise with my house. He also was the only one that provided extensive documentation on the house using the GAF QuickMeasure system, a thorough written estimate with options and extensive documentation on the products and process. The other companies were fine, just not as comprehensive, and the last guy was kind of a shot in the dark. One of my contractors said it best, "you might get lucky or you might end up with more leaks than you started." Above and Beyond were also the most price competitive, nearly matching the unlicensed contractor's bid and Felix includes GAF's Silver Pledge warranty, has workman's comp on all his crew and a easy to navigate documentation process which includes permitting, contracts, invoicing and payments. Felix was even able to reduce the estimate when plywood prices went down. They are a local company with a physical presence and I love supporting these types of operations. So we went ahead and signed the contract. They were great and easy to work with. My wife had a particular color request for the shingles and venting, Felix accomodated it. The crew was blazing fast, 2 hours to remove the roof and they quickly repaired sections that exposed dryrot or had poor quality support. By the second day they had started shingling. Rain was forecasted on the night of the third day and they were able to put more time and effort to finish up before it came. Inspector came yesterday and finalized the permit. Each day they cleaned up the massive amount of debris generated by the work, they were responsive to and considerate of my neighbors, and they were extremely professional in managing resources, trucks, dumpsters, etc. Roofing is a rough, loud, invasive job and they managed it and our interactions extremely well. Great experience and if I live long enough I'll hire them again...it is a 50 year warranty though...

Felix called right away and arrived on time as promised. The team came out specifically for the emergency leak and did a very thorough inspection of the roof. They even sent four detailed videos showing the condition of the roof and explaining exactly what was going on, which we really appreciated. Since it was still raining, they tarped the damaged section to prevent further issues until repairs can be completed. As a bonus, they also cleared the gutters, which helped with drainage. Professional, responsive, and transparent. Highly recommend them if you need fast help with a roof leak.

The carpenters were very careful in the installations, they sectioned off the area under the skylights and sun tubes with plastic so the dust and debris did not get into our furniture or floor. The walls of the skylights were textured, primed and painted. The roofers completed the roof in one day. They were careful not to break any plants and they cleaned up the yard and surrounding area. They left it cleaner than they found it because in addition to picking up roof debris, they also cleaned up leaf litter. I was planning on sweeping up the patio the day before they came, decided to put it off till after they left, but when I went out the next day it was all gone, spotless. I highly recommend this company.

We requested work to start as soon as possible. However, weeks later without any confirmed start date, Pacific Coast Roofing incredible blamed US for the delay. The message exchanges are attached and you be the judge. - We selected steel gutter screen option as the location is prone to falling leaves. However, Pacific Coast Roofing never installed it, but instead sent us invoice charging us for the screen. At best this is gross negligence and at worst it's fraud. We had to inspect the gutter ourselves to discover this, AFTER receiving invoice billing us for it. See attached pictures of the SOW and Invoice. - The job covers both main house and garage as per our quote. No confirmation garage gutter were replaced. If you are considering working with Pacific Coast Roofing, my recommendation is to inspect carefully and every step of the way what they are installing.

I agreed, and his technician came over to "repair" the roof a few weeks later. That same night, we had rain. I had only placed one bucket in the room because I thought the roof was fixed. Unfortunately this was not the case. The entire room was soaked--see photos. I called them and let them know; they said they would someone out to "repair" the roof again. I declined, saying I did not trust their word or their work, and hired another contractor, who came and fixed my roof the following month. Meanwhile, General Roofing has continued to invoice me for the supposed "repair".

I originally gave WestCo five stars after they replaced our roof in 2016 and "repaired" it under…read morewarranty. Ten years later, I'm updating this review so others know what we learned the hard way. Our roof has leaked essentially continuously since installation. WestCo came out every year or two under their 10-year express workmanship warranty and "repaired" it each time, assuring us it was fixed, including one time that they re-did a large section of the roof. It never was. In September 2026, we hired another licensed roofing contractor to inspect. They told me that the chimney cricket our original written contract with westco expressly required -- and that we discussed at length with their estimator before signing -- was never built. I am not an expert here, and can't necessarily validate the other contractors opinion so I am including a photo behind the Chimney and a screenshot from our contract so you can make your own conclusions. Regardless, there's just a flat debris trap behind our chimney, and water intrusion there has stained the exposed beams in our living room. The other roofing contractor also flagged substandard flashing near our side deck that has caused rot. Possibly most disturbingly, the other roofing contractor concluded that at least one of WestCo's warranty "repairs" (when they re-did a large section of roof) was done with damaged shingles. When we called WestCo for warranty repairs starting this summer, they assured me in July promising to send someone to take a look, and their project manager texted in September (twice, on messages showing as read) promising to send a repairman. As of today, no one has ever shown up. With rot spreading and storm season coming, we had no choice but to pay another company $8,600 to fix WestCo's work. I don't write this lightly. In my opinion, Westco's behavior over the last decade is not just evidence of bad workmanship -- it's dishonest. I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere.

Adolfo, was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain all of my options and was very patient without any pressure. He answered all the questions I had and was very responsive. The work crew was very respectful. They were punctual, courteous, and clearly took great pride in their craftsmanship. I have a huge avocado tree that hovered over my roof and Adolfo has asked if I wanted them to trim it, which I was more than happy to say yes, as I have no way of doing so myself unless I hire someone, which will cost money. They also removed my satellite dish, which I had 2 but only 1 functional. Adolfo did recommend that I contact my service provider to have them install the satellite once they've completed the work. The crew worked the whole day and each day, they clean up after themselves. They completed the job ahead on schedule and were diligent about protecting my home and yard throughout the process. The final cleanup was so thorough that you'd never know a major construction project had just taken place. They even re-installed my string lights in my backyard. The communication was excellent at every stage. I was always aware of the schedule and any updates. The quality of the work is top-notch, and the new roof has completely transformed the look of my house. I'm the very 1st and only house in the neighborhood that has Stone coated barrel-vault tile metal roof. Everyone that past by stops to look.
