Sat at the bar and the bartenders looked at me and mugged me and didn't say anything for about 4 minutes until finally the bartender came up to me and asked me what I wanted. Without a menu or anything. I got up and left. Felt unwelcomed and never plan on coming here again. Very unprofessional. Everyone was looking at me crazy. They should just change their hours from closing at 9pm to closing at 8pm since you won't be welcomed there anytime after 7:45pm. Terrible customer service and lazy staff. read more

The ceilings are eye-catching and I love the wood walls and the decor. Things were looking up. We visited around 2pm on a Saturday and our waitress was very status quo. Not necessarily doing anything wrong, but definitely not going above and beyond for anything. The chips and salsa were good; we had fun with their kids' menu. So here's the skinny: we ordered beef and shrimp fajitas and they were totally mediocre. They come out looking delicious, but they are bland and flavorless. The tortillas are nothing special even though they're homemade. The seafood butter has no seasoning in it; there was nothing about it that separates it from any other foam butter you'd have elsewhere. I loved how many veggies they include on the platter, but again, even though they looked delicious, were flavorless. Everything was dying to be seasoned. Long story short, Pablo's is a disappointment and we will not return. See, people go to restaurants for the convenience of not having to shop for the ingredients, or spend the time and effort cooking and cleaning up...but we also dine out to enjoy food that we can't make ourselves at home. Let me frame our past 24 hours. Our a/c went out and in this heat wave it was a miserable night of non stop sweating. Thankfully my Dad is my superhero and was able to fix our issue. We didn't feel like cooking and heating up the house as we allowed it to cool down while we went out for lunch. I chose to go back to Pablo's as we went there prior and wasn't impressed. I always try to give places two times before leaving a review or deciding not to go back again. I was impressed! We were blessed to be seated at Shelby's table for some cool air. She was amazing and took great care of us. I asked for her recommendations and decided to try the pork enchiladas. Wow! They were just what I wanted and delightful. I inquired if she prefers the refried or charro beans. I struggled and I chose the refried beans. They were delicious. She brought me some charro beans to try and they also hit the spot. After we finished she didn't even need to ask and brought our to-go containers for everything plus my queso. She even brought chips to go for my queso. She got me. I really loved the food but Shelby made it better. We need more Shelby's in the world who make our experience that much better. I told my boyfriend that we will add Pablo's to our food rotation. It's hard to describe the interior of the place, so I called it Classico Modern. Very pleasing to the eye. Our sever(Jazmine) was so nice and very helpful with the menu. The menu is not complicated and prices are reasonable. At lunchtime, two people can spend about sixty bucks if they keep it reasonable. I started off with the LaPlaya Ceviche and a Bloody Mary. The ceviche was almost a meal by itself! Plenty of shrimp, fish and scallops for almost two people! Whoever made my drink needs a raise. The mix was the right consistency and color also a nice pour on the vodka. They unusually ran out of chicken tamales, so pork it was. I've never seen that much meat in a tamale ever! Well seasoned, hot as well as a nice tangy kick on the salsa verde sauce! The only thing that I didn't like was the salsa, but some people like their salsa hot and thin. I've been looking for a good Mexican restaurant to go to and I believe I have found the one. To start the night off our waitress Emily greeted us with a fun and inviting attitude. She was able to help guide us through the do's and don't's of their menu. The restaurant it's self was very cute and has a great country mexican theme to it. [Thank you holiday break and thank you school district work schedule!] Upon entering I noticed a server from an old restaurant I would frequent- Blake, provided great service. After asking about the happy hour deals we learned that the place had HH all day! Like 11a-6:30p. WHAAAAT?! Drink specials and food specials, we were all the way here for that! We had two appetizers and they were delicious. The food was piping hot. For my meal I ordered the shrimp tacos w/black beans and cilantro lime rice. I was pleased to learn that the cilantro rice was an alternative option to the typical Mexican rice. I know it's made with chicken broth so I wanted something else.
