PACE Window is an exceptional company. They build strong, attractive custom windows and doors. They redo woodwork if needed, to fit new doors into old houses; like my 1920's four square. They match window frames completely to match wood of other old woodwork. People who come to my house cannot tell the new work from the old. I have dark cherry stained old gum wood. They come out and check what I need, come to measure and then come out to put windows and doors in place. They insulate around window cavity. They are great. If you have a problem; They Come Back. They are accountable, something lacking in much of today's businesses. If you are restoring an old house, church or other building, give them a call. You will not be disappointed. read more

I received a card in the mail today that guarantees that I will NEVER do business with Pace again. It says in RED CAPS AND UNDERLINED: "WE NEED YOU TO CALL US TODAY TO CONFIRM YOUR CURRENT INFORMATION". It then said, "If we do not hear from you, your file will be archived. I tried calling but couldn't get through. So I called the main number that I got on the web. I was told that all of my warranty work is in tact and that this was just a "Courtesy Card". COURTESY CARD ???? They said that if I didn't call them TODAY they would archive my file. NOTHING resembles courtesy in that message. I am DONE with PACE forevermore. read more

Do not do business with this company. I have ordered windows, paid 50% in September. All I have so far is excuses as to why they can't put the windows in - far past the estimated date of install. They no showed the first estimate and then when we rescheduled they showed up and said "we don't do rental properties." Some investors, like myself, are willing to pay for a high quality door. I feel like we were prejudged. Then they lied to talk us out of a sale saying that there cheapest storm door was $1500, which we know is not true because we bought one in the past for much less from Pace for our personal home. Why the double standard? My money is still good whether rental or not. What a waste of time! And we told them upfront that it was a Rental. Unbelievable. read more

I will literally never do business with Pace windows ever again! when I lived in my old house I would of done a 5 star. You spend so much money and I have a dude arguing with me because he sent a technician to my old house and replaced door knobs with my keys that I have at my house, and he says it's my problem. The windows aren't what they used to be and the door glass literally just fell out when son was walking out and thank god he didn't get hurt. This will be 4 times now the door broke....whatever guy I just talked to shouldn't be working on the phone there if like to argue and gives attitude to customers especially if there is a life time warranty. We purchased windows for the top floor of our raised ranch. We removed a bay window and had it replaced with a large picture window. 1. All of our double hung windows leak air. We get ice on the inside of the windows. During the summer, hot air flows in. The temperature near the windows is about 5 degrees warmer than the rest of the room. 2. On the large picture window, we have sliders and the wind in the winter blows through the poor seal of the sliders. The breeze I get sitting 3 feet from the window is unreal. 3. We ordered the windows in March 2021. They weren't installed until Nov 2021. Supposedly due to "COVID" and quality issues from the manufacturer. Wait! I thought all their windows were made locally. Or at least that's what the loud mouth salesman told us. 4. My dad was supposed to get a 10% referral fee for our business. Nothing was ever received. Not even a $10 gift certificate. 5. The screens in the windows are absolute garbage. A fly landing on the screen will create a hole in it. Of course they say they will repair screens for no charge. Haven't tested that out yet. Considering the 8 month wait for window installation, I'm terrified of leaving my screens. Might take 2 yrs to get them back. I have to wonder if the windows actually have the insulating gas in between the panes. They are so cold to the touch in the winter and hot in the summer. My suggestion is to look elsewhere for window replacement. Might cost a little more but you'll no doubt be getting better service and a better product. read more

Unmatched quality! My wife and I recently bought our first home, it needed some work but the first thing we invited in was a quality window.. we dive by Pace Window from time to time. Brad greeted us at the door and wowed us! Went through all the options and we made a decision.. well not that quickly but you know.. Horrible service. Still waiting a month in an estimate for a bow window. They came out to measure but never Called back with price. I reach out multiple times, still getting run around. The bow window is big, I figure 7-10k cost. Plus if that looked good planned on 8 other windows. I called back 3 times with no luck, just a run around. Horrible all around read more

Had and appointment for them to give me quote on replacing our sliding glass door...rep showed up and 5 mins into our conversation, I mentioned that this is from an insurance claim...he immediately excused himself and went outside to make a call...came back in and told me he couldn't give me a quote unless my husband was home too!!! I was totally offended...I set aside my time and they never once asked if both homeowners would be here!! Yesterday Pace salesman came over to give me an estimate to replace my 11 year old windows - all 13 of them. He was here for almost 2 hours and was pleasant. He quoted me, I think, $18k for the windows. We chatted and I asked for a price to replace just two windows, to get started and see what their windows can do to help, and he quoted $2637. After talking to someone at Pace he requoted the price at $2137. I still thought it a lot of money. He then asked me what I would pay and I said $1500 - where he then said he could do $1800. AMAZING-isn't it. The price just kept going down - just by asking. I respect a company that quotes a price and that is the price - no playing games with the numbers. How can you trust a company that changes prices and doesn't leave a written estimate? I asked for a written estimate and he didn't give me one. He gave me no papers on PACE nor any estimates. I asked myself if this is a business I want to deal with - and I said NO. No written estimates Nor ANY info on PACE - why not? A few days earlier another window company gave me written estimates and a folder with information on their company, their price to replace the two windows was $300 less and overall price was less than 1/2 cost. Pace must be paying their sales people a lot of money! They may do good work and have quality product BUT my initial contact was with their people. We requested a quote on a door replacement. The representative arrived on time and we did note that we had a limited amount of time and wanted to him to get to the point quickly. Unfortunately, he continued to tell us how great his product was (it probably is) and that we would get a great price because they make it an install it themselves. When we finally got him to show us some pictures of what they had available and give us a price - it was well over twice any other quotes. At that point, I said we were done and that he had already wasted too much of our time. He was upset because we didn't give him enough time (I guess to explain why he had jacked up the price so much). We live on a private drive and I think his price doubled when he drove up our driveway. Very high pressure, a big time waster compared to his competitors - don't waste your time unless you have lots of time and money to burn! Please note - their product is probably great quality based on the 30 minutes he spent showing us how great it was - we just didn't like his attitude and the valuable time he wasted. read more

I don't normally rate a business that I have not actually hired but my frustration has gotten the better of me. I had a Pace sales rep come to give me an estimate on 5 replacement windows. This was after about 3-4 calls initiated from their office to set up an appointment. I never contacted them, they contacted me. So, this sales rep comes to my house & looked at my windows but never measured them. We then sat down for what I thought was going to be a discussion of their product & then the cost. Instead, this rep wanted to only give me a quote when my other half was there as well. After telling him that I do the footwork & then we both sit down to discuss our options, he said he had to make a phone call & proceeded to call his sales manager who I then had the same discussion with. I was told that I would get better pricing if my other half was with me & that they could re-schedule another appointment. I told the sales rep at my house that if he couldn't give me his best price to me alone, that I was not interested. He then began to pack up his papers & said that he didn't think his company was a good fit for me & I escorted him out of my house with no estimate. How does Pace Window & Doors stay in business with an attitude like that?!!! I would NEVER recommend them to my worst enemy! read more

We called some local companies to set up appointments to have 4 windows replaced. Enter Pace. The sales guy showed up late without any call to let me know. I was about to pack the dog up for a romp in the woods when he finally arrived. He was a hot mess. He started rambling about coming from Ohio for some sales thing and how their sales people were worthless.... kinda reminded me of someone on meth. He glanced at the windows and scribbled on a notepad, saying that he didn't need to measure because he had been doing it for so long. Yeah... right. He then pulled out the saddest pile of badly copied info and gave it to me. It was pretty useless. It really didn't tell me anything at all. He had no brochures, no sample windows, not even a business card. He said someone would call to set up a second appointment to tell us a price. I was SOOOOOO not impressed. Someone finally called us, and when my wife shared the info we were offered a discount. She said someone would be by yesterday to give us our estimate. Guess who came back, late again?!?!? He walks in, looks at me and says "you look familiar, where do I know you from?" um, you were just here not too long ago.... "So why am I here?" um... to give us our estimate. "No one told me anything about an estimate" and starts trash talking the office. Seriously, wtf? So back upstairs to the windows again. This time he pulls out a measuring tape, measures length of one window, width of a second, and ignores the other two windows. He scribbled on his pad again, then wrote down a number. Out comes the calculator, takes off our "discount" and adds an additional 8% because he is so high up in the company and he likes us. I'm still trying to figure out where the original number came from, as he STILL has no books or brochures or computer... he just has his entire catalog memorized apparently. We try to shoo him out the door, and out pops the "you better hurry, these are the spring prices and will go up very soon." Yeah... right. Never heard that before. So here's the best part: We had a competitor in the night before. He was also late (what is it with these window people??), but he called to let us know. Courtesy goes a long way with potential customers. He not only measured the windows, but he had an Ipad and plugged the numbers in as he went!! PRESTO, instant prices!! He had fabulous brochures that gave all of the info on all of their different windows. He then brought a window inside and showed us all of the features. To top it off, he came in $1000 LESS than our big discount price from Pace. Maybe they have a quality product, maybe they do good installation.. but if this was any indication of how they do business then I seriously doubt it. read more

I was surprised at how helpful my salesperson was as he went the extra mile to coordinate the installation of the window under a unique set of circumstances. I had Pace come out to do an estimate for replacement windows in a house that I own and rent to my daughter. The sales representative told me they need to present to both myself and my wife or other decision makers on the house. I am the only decision maker and I told him this. He went through measured the windows and then when he went to give me a price, he stated again that he needs to present it to me and my wife. I told him again and again that my wife will not be part of any decision on these windows and eventually he gave me pricing. When I asked for written information on the warranty and the cut away of the window so "we" could review it, he said "I thought you were making the decision and no one else was involved". I reassured him of this and he began to argue with me. I told him they were very close to being eliminated from the bid and he continued to argue. I politely said "I'm done and you need to leave" - I then showed him the door and he complained that he spent 2.5 hours to get there and I told him then he should brush up on his presentation skills and have a nice drive back. He mumbled some other stuff which I completely ignored. Maybe a tip to management - choose your salesmen better and ditch the policy on only presenting to husband and wife. Any concern regarding people changing their minds can be dealt with in the contract stage - if you ever get there. read more
