    Tres leches

Definitely returning. Service was excellent! We ordered the shrimp tacos (flavorful), chicharrón, and lomo saltado. The drinks were perfectly balanced and as described. We finished off with the tres leches dessert. The decor really transported me to an oasis away from home. Plenty of parking so you won't miss it.

Place is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. We had a reservation so we were seated right away. Place is decorated really nice with beautiful wall painting and elegant light fixtures. We started with a couple of drinks, very good but very pricey. We had the chicken nachos and pork belly guacamole both were so GOOD and great portions. If you come here you have to get the nachos you will thank me later. All our entrees were awesome, I had the Jalea it was the special of the day. We ended our meal with Tres Leche cake and espresso martinis. By the way there was a DJ (Saturday night) and some tables and chairs were taking out and converted into a dance floor. Pretty cool vibe, will definitely be back!

Came on a weeknight without a reservation and there was plenty of seating. Service was friendly. They decorated the restaurant nicely. Plenty of parking in the front off route 22. 1. Wings - The best dish of the night. Full of flavor and I would get this solo for dinner if I come again. 2. Corn - Good amount of seasoning and delicious as well. 3. Shrimp tacos - Large tacos and a bit juicy saucy but full of flavor. Overall, a good place to try at least once for delicious food and a hip atmosphere.

I LOVE PACHAMAMA ! Came back a few days ago and the food was as great as we remembered. We ordered our usual chicharon platter tacos and I tried the Cuban sandwich. Everything was delicious! My only disappointment was that they are not open on Mondays.

We dined here last night for my early birthday celebration, and while the interior was stunning and the ambience lovely, the dinner experience took a turn. There was an excessive wait time between our garlic shrimp appetizer and our entrees, which were the baked chicken and Pachama platter. I had requested my steak to be cooked medium, but it arrived extremely well done (overcooked entirely) and missing parts of the dish. The waiter instructed me to place the steak on a separate plate so he could have it remade, so I continued eating my rice and there were long periods before we saw him again. I then realized the chicharron was undercooked and overly fatty so I only ate the edible portion . With an entree priced at $38, I had higher expectations on the quality and presentation but it only turned out to be the biggest disappointment of the evening. After sharing my concerns, we were largely neglected. Eventually, I asked for the manager, who graciously offered us a complimentary drink and removed the dish from our bill. I will add that their old fashioned was delicious and beautifully presented. While we appreciated the manager's quality service and hospitality, we may not return due to the kitchen's carelessness and the poor service from our waiter.

Visiting NJ these days and found this lovely restaurant. It is tastefully decorated and I o my imagined some waterfalls on site but it is missing. No worries, the food was really nice, we have great service, thanks to Thomas. If you are in this area, try them out, this is a really nice place with great ambiance, food and service. Great job. Happy meals!

We went in Sunday for a dinner. Made a reservation but place was pretty empty. Decor is very tropical and inviting. It started slow. We were sat down at our table but no one came for good 10-15 min. Hence 4 stars. We called a first waiter we saw and ask if he can help us and he did, even though it wasn't his section. David took a great care of us from that moment on. He was attentive, friendly and made some great suggestions. I loved my lychee We had Garlic Shrimp and Chichatron Platter for appetizer. For main dish we went with Steak Lomo Saltado, Aji Panca NY Strip, Seco de Res and Seafood Macho. Steak on both dishes was tender, seafood was fresh and the beef on Seco de Res was more like a short rib served on a cloud of cheddar mash. For desert we shared Tres Leches . All the dishes delivered explosion of flavors with eye catching plating. Definitely recommend

Came to Pachamama after it was recommended to us. Didn't expect it to not to be on Yelp, so I had to add it, lol. It's a large sized venue in a complex, so there is an abundance of free parking. Casual, yet classy vibe. Moderate lighting, with both restaurant & bar seating. Staff were fast & friendly. We had Kimberly, who was awesome! She was fun, funny, & made perfect recommendations. The food was full of flavor & worth a repeat visit. We had Baked Peruvian Chicken, Shrimp Tacos, Truffle Parmesan Fries, Side Car, Manhattan, & Tres Leches. They also give you complimentary Conchas, which are warm, salted corn nuts. The Tres Leches, which Kimberly recommended, was INCREDIBLE!! The Truffle Parmesan Fries were the weakest link. Grades: Conchas: B+ Baked Peruvian Chicken: A Shrimp Tacos: A Truffle Parm Fries: C Side Car: B+ Manhattan: A Tres Leches: A++

Been there twice since they opened. The ambiance was lovely. They did a great job transforming the place into a beautiful restaurant with floral decorations from top to bottom. During both visits, we were met with a nice waiter that provided us with toasted corn to whet our appetites, which was very much enjoyed. The first visit was okay. We found the food to be decent only due to the sauces that came with the orders. Unfortunately without them, the food lacked considerable flavor. We found the second visit to be more of the same, only this time it appeared they were out of several specials (due to new cooks, according to the waiter), to the point where I had to ask exactly what they did have so I knew what to choose from. For our appetizers, the beef empanadas were tasty (they were out of chicken), but the chicken lollipops were flavorless. I'm talking barely any seasoning. The saving grace was the little bit of sauce at the bottom of the dish, which was very tasty. The hangar steak entree was underwhelming. It also lacked flavor and consisted mostly of rice with a small portion of meat. I asked for my steak to be medium, the other person asked for medium-well. They both came out well done to the point of chewy. The best part of the dish were the three small, crispy potato wedges that came with it. The mango mezcal margarita was decent, they didn't skimp on the alcohol. We wish this place well, but unfortunately we won't be back.

Set in a strip mall in Green Brook the ambiance here is excellent! So pretty and dark inside with lamps on tables. The ceviche and drinks were excellent - I got the pisco sour. Everything else could use improvement. Service was bumpy (wrong orders and after pointed it out our server shrugged and basically said oh well and didn't attempt to fix it and get us what we wanted) and the main dishes missed the mark. I got the fried seafood which was good but should be an appetizer but watch out as there are (hopefully clean!) rocks in the dish for decor. The lomo saltado was lacking flavor and was a bit tough. The chicken dish was uninspired as well. Having been to Peru and being lovers of Peruvian food I was bummed. All in all, my table was disappointed as the reviews had seemed so good. Rounding up to 4 stars in hopes that it will continue to improve on food and service as they are in their soft opening! One last thing - I didn't love that they allow Open Table but make you call to confirm the reservation as well. In this case, Open Table reservations are pretty pointless.

So happy to find a great local spot that provides a wonderful dining experience. Mia, our waitress, was fantastic and gave awesome recommendations including trying the Lychee, Me Baby and La Chefa and portion size for the steak quesadilla. Mia was very attentive and friendly which was refreshing. The garlic shrimp and fresh tostones, omg so delicious. Ceviche was so fresh and flavorful, just wish the fish was cut in smaller pieces. Steak quesadillas included quality meat and had a lovely cheese pull. Awesome that quesadillas came with guac and chips; certainly filling.

The food was good and drinks was awesome. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The music was a little loud for our liking. The only complaint was that my husband sandwich he ordered was steak. It was cut in huge pieces so every time he took a bite it fell apart. We actually mentioned it to our waitress. Other than that we will definitely come back if we are in the area.

I saw this establishment open around two months ago and wanted to try and finally got to yesterday. Walking into PachaMama already throws you into a different part of the world. The decoration and attention to detail is stunning. There is beautiful greenery handing from the ceiling that gives the establishment an elegant look, while not being overly dramatic. There weren't many people in here but our server came quite quickly to greet us and was great, super friendly and answered any questions we had abut the menu since it was our fist time there. The menu options all sounded amazing, my partner and I were having a pretty hard time deciding but knew if the food we ordered was good we would be back to try more. So, my partner ordered the Peruvian Chicken and I ordered the Churrasco. I can't express how delicious each of these dishes were and the sauces complemented the meat so nicely, I especially loved the Peruvian Chicken. I also ordered a cocktail called Vivir de Amor, and the notes on this drink are citrus floral, very refreshing for my palette. To end off our experience, we shared a tres leches which was delicious. They did add a unique spin by topping the top of the tres leches with a layer of marshmallow and toasting it. I really loved everything this new establishment had to offer and I truly can't wait to come back and try the Chicharron!

I walked in and two super nice young ladies were making and serving the food. I appreciated that I was greeted right away and my order taken right away. If Yelp had star options for both the food and the service, I definitely would have given them 4 or 5 stars. I almost always go completely overboard when I try a place the first time. I picked up almost $80 worth of takeout so that I could try a little bit of everything. I really, really wanted to love the food here but I didn't. Unfortunately I didn't really find anything that I ordered that flavorful. The food wasn't bad by any means, it just didn't have the delicious flavors that I normally associate with great Puerto Rican food. As I mentioned it was an unbelievably hot day so maybe the cook was having an off day because of that. If I'm ever driving by there, I'd probably give it another chance since it has such great reviews from other people.

This place is a hidden gem! The saying "Don't judge a book by its cover" applies here. It's a small…read moreplace that can easily be missed unless you're looking for it. Cleanliness: I have been there twice and both times I've watched as the waitresses clean the tables and chairs thoroughly, followed by a quick sweep under the tables before each new guest. That gave us peace of mind for sure. Service: The waitresses were very kind. We aren't very familiar with Peruvian food (we always eat the same dishes) and they helped us choose a new "to us" appetizer they felt we would like. Which we ended up liking a lot. They checked in on us during appropriate times and refilled our waters. When we asked for the check it came quickly without us feeling rushed. It was a good experience. Meals: Appetizer: Yuca Huchaina (I totally spelled that wrong..sorry) fried Yuca with cheese sauce. It was delicious. Fried to perfection. We ate it all up embarrassingly fast. Hey, we were hungry lol! Drink: we tried the "Chicha" purple drink. Wow this was amazing. Yes it is purple! It is sweet and has a touch of pineapple in it. We opted to get a pitcher for the three of us. Vida Seafood dish- It came with ceviche, leche de Tigre and fried seafood mix. This dish was a big hit. My parents said they would order it next time. It hit all the things I was craving. I loved that I got the best of both worlds with half fried seafood and half ceviche (fish only). Ceviche and leche de Tigre was super flavorful with spices and lime. I got extra spice and it was perfect. I wanted to drink it right from the small bowl it was that good. My Dad ended up finishing my plate once I got full. He was super jealous of my plate haha! - Ceviche Classico- Also Flavorful and yummy. If you're super hungry this may not fill you up. Hence, why my Dad finished my meal but he loved it! I had this dish during my first visit. It was delicious. - Pescado Saltado...my Mom loved this dish. The fish literally falls apart in your mouth. Every piece was flavorful and drenched in the yummy sauce. It came with rice and French fries and plenty of fish pieces. Overall: I give this place a 5. What matters to us is quality and taste of the food, service and cleanliness. And they deserve 5 stars for Leche De Tigre.
