John handled the entire job with the calm precision of someone who has never once doubted a bolt in his life. After my visit I noticed a hubcap was missing, and while it was hard to know exactly what happened, I brought it up with the shop. Took my van to get it checked out for a trip and for them to fix the cruise control, which was not working. They charged me $180 for just checking the cruise control. They were never able to fix it and didn't know what was wrong with it. Took it to another mechanic that my neighbor recommended. They found the switch by the brake was not working. After ordering the part and receiving it, they were able to fix it in an hour. Pacific automotive had my van for days and still didn't fix it...complete incompetence. read more

I had been told I needed new front brakes by an outfit I couldn't help feeling was a bit shady, so I went for a second opinion at Pacific Automotive. I learned that my brakes were fine, so I just had them cleaned and lubricated for a very modest price. Where do you find honesty like that anymore? My new and only mechanic, went in for the 10,000 mile scheduled maintenance requirements for my Sentra and the whole experience was great. First, I was late 20 minutes to my appointment which I feel terrible about and called ahead to let them know, but it was no issue. John greeted me and was just the best, legit dude. Easy to talk to and gave me an accurate time for how long it would take until I could drive off. The cherry on top was the price. The dealership quoted me $480 for the 10,000 mile maintenance, and I only payed $130 here, I mean it doesn't get better than that. Saw an interaction between John and another customer and I could tell the other customer had been going there for years and this mechanic shop identified a bad vacuum tube before any catastrophic damage happened, replaced it cheap, and actually showed the customer what was wrong with the tube and why it needed to be replaced. Very upfront with cost, expected time, and all the mechanics are great friendly people. Will come back here! read more

Everyone there is professional and friendly, their prices are fair, and their work is terrific. This was a great experience, despite having to get a new radiator. They knew immediately the issue and how to fix it. I got a complete estimate, and added in a few 'good to do now' hoses for my 18 year old truck. I called back to confirm their schedule the next day and they had the parts ready to go the following morning. They had the truck ready to go in about 5 hours. I've never seen an auto place have such good customer service. A while back I made a "dumb-dumb" move pulling out of my driveway and knocking my driver side mirror off with a giant bird of paradise. Quickly grabbing some duct tape I taped it back on to be more official with the ghettoness of my poor car. It's actually amusing that the boo-boos on my car are all on the driver side...I mean I can't even claim bad dept-perceptive here! Ah well...I'll just admit I suck and move on. Self-infective wounds are better than to others! So anyway, I got off track making fun of myself. So after I got to work with ghetto duct tape car, I was referred to Pacific Automotive to fix my car back up. I called them up and they were very helpful and understanding. I was able to drive down for them to see the damage and give me a quote the same day. I felt really at ease with the way I was treated and really trusted what they said. They weren't in it to make a profit out of me...just find the best deal on the parts and charge for the labor time - that's all. I received several calls within a short time with pricing and such. I was amazed at the quick attention I received. Other than a delay in getting the parts, painting, etc...they would be able to take care of it right away. In the end I found out the dealer had the parts in house and could use the existing mirror holder (meaning no painting needed) and I could be in and out in an hour. Though spending a few more days with duct tape was tempting...I just had to throw some money at the problem and make it part of the past asap. But I just wanted to give a shoot out to Pacific Auto for the great customer service I received. They were very understanding of my end decision and I didn't feel guilty about the time they spent researching for me. Pacific Automotive came to the rescue when I needed an oil change before an unexpected trip to Arizona in July 2018. Most mechanic shops were already closed for the day or did not have sufficient time to complete an oil change. I explained my situation to Ron.
