Although I did not go in to the store, I spoke with someone over the phone and they were so helpful! My dog ate some chocolate left out on the table while we were away. We called the animal poison control and they wanted $85 JUST TO TALK TO US!!!! We called this place and the nurse passed our info over to a doctor which gave us great instructions for watching over our pup. He's doing great and didn't need to spend any money. Finally, a place that cares about our animals and not just sucking our wallets dry! Thank you!!!

I lost my 16 month old baby boy here which is unexpected, it's been 5 month now and I am still in tears when I just think about I made the worst decision by took Latte over there, I had no questioned to paid you $2000 for just 5 hours, you simply call me my dog is dead without any emotion and he is only 16 month old! From the text result, you could not figure out what exactly going on with his coughing , you told me everything just happen so quick after I paid you in 5 hours, which I thought my boy would be safe to have your professional care by paying you $2000/ night, I was wrong... 5 hours later you called without any emotion, he is dead! Do you understand he is my baby boy, that is why I'm paying you $2000 to start and willing to pay whatever to have him been take care of properly, I was wrong, I should just give you the money you wanted and save my boy's life by take him away. Nothing could have my latte back to me, I rented my house out where Latte was grow up at@, the picture is the last picture before my primary vet sent us to you... he was fine, he stands, he understands, he looked at his mama for permission before he enter the room with you... (I never knew that would be my last see with my boy)... I'm sorry for the bad review, you will never understood my feeling, I will be live in guilty for rest of my life... it's not fair to the pet!

Our Doberman, Monty, was rushed in after suffering a ruptured splenic mass and internal bleeding, and we were absolutely terrified that we were going to lose him. Thanks to Dr. Kim and the incredible team here, our baby is still alive today. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with compassion, honesty, and genuine care during one of the hardest moments our family has faced. Dr. Kim was not only an exceptional surgeon, but also kind, patient, and reassuring when we needed it most. You could feel how deeply he cared about Monty and about helping us navigate such an emotional and overwhelming situation. We will never forget the dedication and skill that went into saving our boy. We also want to give a very special thank you to Katlynn, the lead veterinary assistant, who truly went above and beyond for us. Her kindness, empathy, support, and communication made an unbearable situation feel a little less heavy. She treated Monty like he was her own and treated us with so much compassion and understanding throughout the entire process. Every single member of the staff we encountered showed us warmth, professionalism, and genuine love for animals. In rescue, we unfortunately see a lot of veterinary situations, and it is rare to find a team that combines both medical excellence and such heartfelt humanity the way this team does. Because of Dr. Kim, Katlynn, and the entire staff, Monty got another chance at life, and we will forever be grateful for that. Thank you for saving our baby.

Dr. Kim, Alex the Manager, and their incredible team of veterinary technicians once again showed the boundless depth of their skill and compassion. A heartfelt shoutout to Ernesto, Chelsea, Omar for their support throughout the surgery. They cared for my boy with such steadfast dedication and also managed to somehow find time to comfort his very anxious hooman mom. If they had not acted as quickly as they did to move forward with surgery, my pup could have suffered a rupture that would have taken him from me. They have given me something truly priceless. They have granted me more time with the dog who has been by my side for 17 years. I will treasure every moment of it, and I will forever be indebted to this incredible team. Thank you for returning my boy back to me.

From the moment we walked in, the team (Brandon especially) stood out. Brandon was incredibly kind, patient, and communicative, which made a huge difference for us as anxious parents. He loves labs too and mocha loves being loved! Toni, Julie, Serena and Marcela were amazing with mocha too and really helped calm some of her stress too Dr Sohn took the time to thoroughly talk with us, gather Mocha's history, and understand everything that was going on. We never felt rushed or brushed off, they made sure we were fully informed and prepared for each step. Most importantly, they helped keep us calm during an overwhelming situation. They didn't try to oversell unnecessary tests, but they also made sure to run a comprehensive set of diagnostics so that no possibilities were overlooked. It felt like they genuinely cared about doing what was best for Mocha, not just checking boxes. Overall, we felt supported, heard, and confident in the care Mocha received. We're very grateful to the team and would definitely recommend them!

Several years ago, Irvine Valley Emergency Clinic earned my trust when they successfully removed a…read morelarge bone from my dog's stomach by endoscopy. The care was exceptional from check-in through discharge, and I appreciated that they offered overnight endoscopy--a service many emergency hospitals do not. Unfortunately, my recent experience was very different. On Saturday, June 27, my senior foster dog swallowed the head of a toothbrush. Before driving 45 minutes to Irvine Valley, I called to confirm that overnight endoscopy was available. I conference-called the rescue owner so we both heard the confirmation. After check-in, my dog was examined, X-rayed, and given medication to induce vomiting, which was unsuccessful. We were then told the foreign body was in his stomach and that endoscopy would be needed. Around midnight, I was shocked to learn that the veterinarian on duty did not perform endoscopy. He informed me the veterinarian who did had gone home at 10:00 p.m. This was the first time anyone told us the service I had specifically called to verify was no longer available. He informed me they were sending us to an ER in Laguna Hills. However, when I asked what was the delay, an employee told me 'oh they can't do it". I started calling around myself and finally located VEG Costa Mesa, where my dog underwent another exam, another set of X-rays, and ultimately had the toothbrush removed by endoscopy around 5:00 a.m. Had I been given accurate information before I arrived--or even immediately after check-in--I would have gone directly to a hospital that could perform the procedure. Instead, my foster dog experienced unnecessary delays, and the rescue incurred duplicate charges for exams and X-rays. I called Irvine Valley to discuss this with the administrator twice after the incident requesting reimbursement for the duplicate services. Both times I was told the manager would return my call. As of July 4, I have not received any response. I still believe Irvine Valley has skilled veterinarians and has provided excellent care in the past. My concern is with the inaccurate information about endoscopy availability, the resulting delay in treatment, and the lack of follow-up afterward. I hope this review encourages better communication so future clients can make informed decisions during already stressful emergencies.

The front desk person, as well as the nursing and supporting staff, were polite and kind, but that's the only compliment I have, unfortunately. Since my dog was suffering post-op, I was filled with worry and stress, and needed and expected medical guidance I could trust. I feel like I did not get that from my dog's attending vet and head of the department, Dr. April Summers. Dr. Summers did update me every day on my dog's status, but I felt that she failed to concisely communicate sound options for next steps. Her thoughts seemed scattered and sometimes contradictory to me, and she admitted during a phone call that my dog''s case "frustrated" her. This made me wary of my dog's treatment. My feelings were heightened, when during a visit, I found my dog's tail covered in urine. Even more concerning, during that same visit, we were taken to a room where we were provided with a tank of oxygen, which my dog needed. An hour later, my mom wondered if the tank was on. She asked a nurse who confirmed that it was off and turned it on. Because of my negative experience with Dr. Summers and her team, I would never advise anyone to leave their pet's care with AVSG Critical Care at this time.

We drove 1.5 hours one way in the early morning and received a call around 11:30 AM saying the radiation machine software had stopped working. My husband and I were extremely worried and disappointed. Thankfully the machine was fixed around 3 PM, and our fur baby was still able to receive his first radiation treatment and go home around 4:30 PM. After that, Day 2 and Day 3 went smoothly, and everything went very well. What truly impressed us was Dr. Wakamatsu, herself. Her consultation was incredibly thorough and informative. She explained the CT scan in great detail and made sure we understood everything about our dog's condition and the treatment plan and the treatment options. We had also consulted another oncologist in Tustin, who said we would need to wait at least 72 hours before starting treatment after their CT scan. Dr. Wakamatsu was able to start immediately, which meant so much to us during such a stressful time. Our baby CobyBean is now in the post-radiation phase, and we are hoping for the best. Thank you Dr. Wakamatsu and the radiation team, it is very sweet about the certificate (a very sweet diploma) that they gave us on the last day of treatment. I truly wouldn't mind to drive 1.5 hours or more to see Dr. Wakamatsu again. She is an amazing radiation oncologist, highly recommended to anyone who needs her help. Your fur baby will be in great hands. Highly recommended.
