My second time coming here - my little doggo had an incident and I was a worried dog mom. We had to make a late night trip to have him looked at. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everyone was kind and they were nice enough to even wrap my baby in a blanket after they checked him out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The inside is very clean and they even have a little area with snacks, water, coffee and tea for us parents. The price isn't the lowest but that's also expected since I was coming for care after standard business hours. They gave me medication and instructions to help him get better. Thank you for your help! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Update** they were so nice to call & text a few days later to check in on my little guy[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Rexy boy, newly diabetic!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The front office is SO loving, sweet, on top of their stuff and were always on the go for every single pet owner that came through their doors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We went here on a Friday night 2/20 amongst other pet emergencies and the front office was always triaging, doing paperwork, constantly busy but remained being so kind and sweet to every pet and their owner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat in the lobby for a few hours, and the front office offered us gift cards for our troubles of waiting to be seen, never had that ever happen before![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The office was so busy that I had to leave my pup with them but all throughout the night, the doctor and front office kept me updated and constantly kept me in the loop on status updates and next steps.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I so appreciated this!!! We came here because my 10 yr old Cairn Terrier was diagnosed by our primary veterinarian to be Diabetic but in a ketoacidosis stage and that we only had literally 48 hours left with him so they pushed euthanasia on us. This was in the middle of the day Friday, that same night- I needed to get a 2nd opinion because we were only given a death sentence and the alternative was to get him hospitalized, we could not afford the bill but I had to know if there was anything else we could do. Dr. Jesse Tolentino literally helped us prolong our dog's life, our primary vet gave us either hospitalization or euthanasia. Dr. Tolentino gave us hope! No guarantees, but hope and helped us buy more time with our boy. He recommended that we get him on insulin ASAP to see if it could at least work since we couldn't afford the hospitalization. Next day, we went to our primary, immediately got to establishing insulin and booking an appointment for a glucose curve. No guarantees with the insulin being able to get him out of ketoacidosis but Dr. Jesse Tolentino helped us buy more time to be with our sweet boy. They say diabetes will eventually catch up with their lives but he's only 10 and a small dog! Attaching a picture of our boy at the ER. The ER bill was expensive but it was so worth having a 2nd professional opinion that did not push me to euthanize my clearly happy looking dog. It's Monday 2/23, we completed a glucose curve at our primary and our boy's ketones have dropped to .9 with insulin! His ketones were at 5 and then a 2+ at the ER. He now can continue to live his new lease on life as a diabetic. Thank you SOOOO much Dr. Tolentino!!!

A bad response. This veterinarian did not provide the proper x-rays, and did not provide relief to our dog. Dishonest.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Three days later and the owner of this hospital, Mike Cao, has not called back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]He seems to respond to reviews on yelp, but apparently he doesn't pick up the phone.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That leads to me believe that it's not even actually him responding to people on Yelp. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A manager of the hospital called and said they were the best person to help me, and I insisted that I speak to Mr. Cao. They continued on that they are the managers and the best people to help me, but I insisted that I talked to someone that is actually a doctor and not administrative.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] it has been more than three days. We got an analysis of the fluid in his abdomen that built up, which was more than a pint and a half and this hospital allowed it to remain and didn't even take a sample like they promised to do. The analysis showed that his body is fighting some sort of infection and his blood cells rapidly increased. Not only could they have removed the fluid, but they could have given him an antibiotic. They failed to give our antibiotic to our French bulldog as well when he had an infection. In my opinion, it is cruelty to a dog to do what they did and just take my money and allow him to suffer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He is anemic and fighting an infection and basically fighting for his life. Now they won't even respond to me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There are a few good doctors here that do the right thing. But has a hole, two out of our four visits in the last year. These guys have not done what was right for our dogs and left two dogs in pain leaving their hospital without proper care.

I can't say enough good things about the care we received at Irvine Valley Veterinary Hospital. I brought my 15-year-old Shiba Inu, Kuma, in after a stressful couple of days involving appetite loss, GI upset, and a lot of worry on my end. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the moment we arrived, the staff was kind, patient, and genuinely attentive especially important when you're dealing with a senior dog and a nervous owner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The veterinarian took the time to listen carefully, didn't rush us, and explained everything clearly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They ran appropriate diagnostics, caught early-stage kidney disease (Stage 2), and walked me through a thoughtful, compassionate plan focused on Kuma's comfort and quality of life. I really appreciated that they considered his sensitive stomach and prescribed a renal hydrolyzed diet instead of taking a one-size-fits-all approach. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What stood out most was how calm and reassuring the entire team was.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I never felt dismissed or pressured into unnecessary testing, and they were respectful about costs and next steps. Kuma was handled gently, and it was obvious they truly care about their patients. Thanks to their care, Kuma is back to walking, eating better, and even being playful again and I feel informed and supported moving forward. If you're looking for a veterinary team that treats both pets and their people with compassion, I highly recommend Irvine Valley Veterinary Hospital.

If I could give more than five stars, I would. I cannot thank Dr. Christine Babula and the team at the Irvine emergency veterinarian enough for saving my dog's life. After visiting two other clinics--including Mariner's Mile in Newport--my dog was repeatedly dismissed as being "dramatic" about some supposed hip pain. I knew something was very wrong, but I left each time feeling like my concerns weren't taken seriously. It turns out he was actually suffering from brain swelling due to bee stings--a medical emergency no one else considered. Dr. Babula and the Irvine ER staff immediately recognized something was gravely wrong. They moved quickly, ran the right diagnostics, and not only correctly identified his brain swelling, but literally resuscitated him at one point. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their expertise and compassion were obvious at every step, and Dr. Babula made sure I understood what was happening the entire time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She treated my dog (and me) with such kindness and respect--the exact opposite of what I experienced elsewhere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Without their incredible care, I am certain my dog would not be alive today. If your pet is in crisis, I cannot recommend Dr. Babula and the Irvine emergency vet team highly enough. Do NOT waste precious time at Mariner's Mile in Newport--I wish I'd gone to Irvine first.

    My baby saint

Had my beloved Saint there after she took a fall.. [[HIGHLIGHT]]the staff were very helpful and compassionate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My Saint fully recovered thanks to the staff. I would not hesitate to bring any of my fur babies there.

I just knew I wanted to keep something to remember my beloved Shadow by. After doing some research, this organization was the first one I came across, and I'm so grateful I chose them. Their customer service was compassionate, professional, and incredibly caring during one of the hardest moments for my family. The day Shadow passed away, they were able to pick him up the very same day. I was surprised because I expected the process to take much longer. They treated him with such dignity and respect during pickup, and they showed that same level of care when they returned his ashes to me. I can't thank them enough for making such a difficult time a little easier. I would absolutely recommend them 100%. Thank you for treating my beloved Shadow with the love and care he deserved.

She explained how we could watch as little or as much of the cremation process as we wished. She also explained the "Private Viewing" and what the entire package would cost and entail. The morning Ronni departed our life, we brought her to Only Cremations and they kept her for us until the viewing, which was a couple days later. The day of the viewing, we were already an emotional mess, but Brittany was there right away to show us the presentation of Ronni in the viewing room. She was beautiful and had a blanket laid over the lower half of her body. Ronni looked like she was peacefully sleeping. There was ambient lighting and somber, relaxing music playing, a vase of flowers nearby, a sofa, and of course a box of tissues for our use. We were given up to two hours to spend with Ronni in the private viewing room for us to say our last goodbyes. We felt grateful to see her beautiful face one last time. During this time, Aldair came in and took her clay paw prints and we also had some ink paw prints done. He did a great job capturing the definition of her paw prints. Both Brittany and Aldair made this time more supportable with their patience and compassion and the gentleness they had with our baby girl. When it was time for the cremation, we had to leave the viewing room and go to another room, as our 86 pound Ronni needed a larger cremator chamber. We were able to sit in this room and watch through a window as Aldair placed her into the compartment. We had previously viewed the entire cremation process with another pet of ours and wished to ensure we received only their cremains, with little chance of a mixture or unknown other pet being switched out. Sounds a little paranoid, but we've heard stories, and this way gave us peace of mind knowing we were definitely receiving Ronnie's cremains. After the cremation process, approximately 90 minutes later, Aldair carefully and thoughtfully prepared the cremains for us to be able to take our Ronni home with us in a nice wooden urn provided as part of the package. Brittany presented us with a fabric bag with the urn inside, along with the clay and ink paw prints, a certificate note of sorts, and a packet of flower seeds. We are so thankful for this experience your establishment provided. I want to start by saying that the package I ultimately received was very beautiful and I am very happy with the physical products I received from this company. They did well in honoring my best friend and providing me with cherished mementos. The mementos were the main draw for me when I chose Angel Paw/ Loving Pet. My dog Lucky had cancer, and although I was starting to emotionally prepare myself for the end of his life, his death came suddenly. I was alone with him when it happened and I felt panicked and anguished about what would have to come next. I should have stopped and called our vet and asked them to hold his body for me while I figured things out, but instead I immediately started trying to find an aquamation service that had the mementos I knew I would need to grieve and remember Lucky. So I turned to Loving Pet/Angel Paw. Their website looked so clean and modern! I was impressed so I filled out a form and they called me very quickly. A van was dispatched to my home and arrived in 2 hours. The driver who picked up Lucky from me told me the process would take 2 weeks. Loving Pet/ Angel Paw promised cutting edge technology that would keep grieving pet parents in the loop every step of the way of the cremation process. It's proudly proclaimed in their About Us story that the whole point is to keep families away from the nightmare of not knowing. I was stuck in that nightmare of not knowing for a month. If you're stuck waiting, please know you will get your pet, but it will take a month. I was in agony thinking I had chosen wrong, or that I got scammed and I would never get Lucky back ever again. I did get Lucky back and so will you. You unfortunately just need to keep waiting. The app never updated with any of the steps of Lucky's aquamation process. After 2 weeks I started calling and calling and calling. I left messages with my phone number asking for a call back that never came. I had more success with emailing them. I would recommend emailing if calling isn't working. The explanation for the delay was The Weather. Southern California was experiencing torrential unrelenting rain earlier this past spring. Fair enough. 3 Weeks after they picked up Lucky from me, someone responds to my email saying Lucky would be shipped to me. They don't provide me with a tracking number even when I ask. At this point I am having slightly more luck getting them on the phone. A few days after I asked for the tracking number via email, I call and a Lovely man who said his name was Jeff answered. Lucky had not been shipped out yet after all, BUT Jeff does reassure me that Lucky's cremation package was ready to go and would be shipped ASAP. And it was. So shout out to Jeff for that one. I get a text message later that same day with the UPS label. Overall this experience was unpleasant. Complete lack of communication with grieving pet parents. I would not recommend this cremation company to anybody in the future. But if you've already chosen Loving Pet/ Angel Paw, please just wait it out. Your baby will be home soon.

Her breathing slowly stopped, he listened with his stethoscope and quietly nodded and said she had passed. Again, he offered to excuse himself if I wanted time with her. When I was ready he wrapped her in the blanket like a baby, offered his condolences and left. He brought a very nice camera and asked if I wanted any pictures but I declined. They have falsely informed me, twice, that they will call me back with an update. So, overall poor customer service. This has prolonged me and my family's grieving process as the anxiety of having to wait with no definitive date, or communication on progress made, has been given. If you are going to advertise having a certain memorabilia available, then make sure it is available. The excuse of our rings not being completed due to one being a smaller size is unacceptable. Furthermore, if delays are to occur, there should be consistent communication with the family, as we have entrusted you with the remains of our beloved pets and should be reassured consistently that they are being handled with care throughout the process.
