I bid my roof project out to several roofing companies, and was most impressed with Over and Above for 2 reasons: 1. Dustin, the owner, personally came out to walk the roof and provide me a bid. 2. There were a couple of little hiccups along the way, primarily resulting from miscommunications with the solar company, which he more than made up for. His foreman had forgotten to face dirtier tiles away from the street so they wouldn't be street visible, and there was an operational snafu with the solar installer. However, he took full accountability and that has resulted in me continuing to go back to him for future roofing needs. Over & Above are a small shop, and so while I had some initial concerns about them being able to take on my project, I was pleasantly surprised. The lack in administrative overhead was hugely beneficial in terms of getting direct access to Dustin regarding the project, and also resulted in competitive pricing compared to other roofing companies. Had a bad leak between walls of 2 of my units in San Clemente. Leak was discovered on 9-7-23 and…read moredue to shoddy work from Servpro, is still going on 6 months later. I am not getting rent "again" on this 2nd attached unit, and needless to say, my property manager and I are very angry. The 1st unit took about 5 months of testing, remediation and restoration. All went as expected until SERVPRO began their restoration. Had to call and have them come back a few times to complete work as required. Then, they started the 2nd unit in January, and after all testing for asbestos, they began pulling out the wall to wall master bath sink and broke the mirrors that were beautiful wrap-around mirrors. They replaced drywall behind the sinks and put the cabinets back "that now angle toward the back of the sink" not straight, and never put any backsplash on sinks. Took shower doors outside but still have never brought them back. Replaced all mirrors with 2 small black rimmed mirrors.. and now, moisture that was under the tiles since last year are smelling and appear to be moldy - Tenant says they stink and will continue not paying rent until he can use his only bathroom again.

I'm glad I found John Handyman because he charged me less than half of that! This is a father/son duo where the dad does the work and the son helps out and translate for him. They arrived on time and got straight to work. Installation of the water filter and pot filler was done without any issues.
