Jonathan is one of the most professional and responsive stone fabricators I've ever met. He came out the next day to give me a quote. His prices are not super low but you can expect excellent service. He continually gave me updates about when the slabs would be picked up and the fabrication would be completed. He provided accurate estimates of when the installation would take place. Luis and his team came to install our quartz and granite stone in less than 1 week from when the slabs were picked up. They were very quick and did a great job. Luis is very knowledgeable and I was very comfortable with his work. Jonathan made sure to follow up on any outstanding issues and made sure I was very happy with the work and services provided. Overall, great service. It's always refreshing to deal with a business where not only is the work done well but you're dealing with genuinely nice, respectful, honest individuals. Doesn't happen often. We used Jonathan and Pacific Coast for a small'ish kitchen we are remodeling. He was curious, good at explaining things, and worked with our granite supplier to make sure the job was done super quick. They did our demo and even helped answer questions when I was at the store trying to buy a sink and didn't understand the sizing. I'm not sure how price compares to others since I went with him on a recommendation, but he was easy to work with and worth every penny. I'll definitely call him when we are going to do the bathrooms. read more

We had a very poor experience with Pacific Coast granite and Jonathan. We had a large job and got 3 bids, we initially felt very comfortable with Jonathan, but then he sent out his team to actually do the job. They did not have experience using quartz and more expensive materials. Our materials were scratched (deep scratches in multiple places on a kitchen island) our walls and cabinets were damaged (but we paid to fix them up) The outlet cuts were not uniform or standard size so some of the outlets in our kitchen require jumbo covers, the onsite cutting of the slabs was not done professionally because I have no other friends or family who have this issue. The worst of all of this though is that they left a chalky residue on the backsplash that has not been able to be cleaned off despite multiple cleaning attempts. Their is supposed to be a nice shine to our selected stone which is mostly white, but the effect is ruined due to this haze. I would not recommend using them unless they are several THOUSAND dollars less expensive then competitors, you will be paying for it in the end anyway. read more

The kitchen is the heart of the home, when we decided to have it remodeled, I was very nervous how it will turn out. We were referred to Pacific Coast and amongst all companies that I called, and I called plenty (about 5- more). Jonathan was quick to respond and quick to act. We met him the same day I called, he measured and gave me an exact amount of how much ALL cost will be. (No surprise last minute fees or delivery fees, etc..) We met on Friday, he measured the first time, then he came to measure the second time on Monday. I asked him if he could get it done by Friday and he did better and got it done by Thursday!!!! Perfection. Quality to the core. That sounded super cheesy, but it's true haha When you want high quality workmanship and things done right, these guys are the way to go! 2nd time I used them. My wife and I are pretty demanding when it comes to making sure details are perfect and they didn't disappoint. Jonathan did everything to help us get our counter fabrication done very quickly since we were losing our minds being displaced from our home for 4 months. PCG replaced my kitchen counters & backsplash and laundry room counters with Quartz with a price tag of a little over 10k. The cutting/measuring of material was fantastic. And Jonathan is very quick to respond to texts and calls. He also showed me exactly where seams would be. That part of the experience was good. Unfortunately Jonathan's crews left huge messes that my husband and I had to clean. After the work was completed we found large amounts of debris from demolition under our stove which caused our stove not to be level and stick out. This was frustrating as it was careless work and we had asked about hiring a professional to move our stove, but were told by Jonathan that wasn't necessary. They also left a mess of our driveway from the cutting of materials, thick white dust. While Jonathan offered to clean it with a hose when I expressed dissatisfaction, that was useless as the mess required a power wash. His crew also left feces smeared on my toilet seat in a bathroom I specifically asked his crew not to use. Jonathan took off $100 bucks when I shared these concerns which didn't really make things right for me. That said, I accepted the discount of course. Maybe I got his third string crew, but if that's the case, then he should've done more babysitting. Lastly, I would caution homeowners of the smell; They used a lot of glue and alcohol and the fumes were overwhelming. If you have children I would encourage you to make plans on installation days outside of the home. read more

I went by these reviews when we chose a fabricator for our kitchen island. Jonathan came out to give us a quote. Luis did the measurements for our counter top and the work was done timely and very well. Just don't have a problem, because Jonathan does not want to accept responsibility. We requested that the remainder of our jumbo slab be delivered with the finished counter top as we planned to use it on a bathroom remodel later on. But the remnant was not delivered with our counter top. Jonathan assured my husband that they would put our name on it and store it for us until we were ready to use it (no time frame was given). We recently contacted Jonathan about our remnant and he claimed to have no recollection of it and said that he was not responsible for a remnant 6 months later. When I asked if he gave away the remnant we had paid for, I was given excuses about the fire department having them clear out their shop every 30-90 days. If this was true, he should notify customers before this happens if he has offered to store remnants. He offered to give us any other remnant he had however we wanted the matching quartz we had PAID FOR. I was told we could go down to his shop and he or one of his employees would pull quartz that matched ours. When we got to his shop, we were pointed in the direction of tons of slabs and asked to look through them. Not our responsibility. When I called Jonathan to let him know this, he was very argumentative and kept listing excuses as to why he was not responsible for our remnant. He finally agreed to search for the exact quartz type that we had. Later that week, he offered us a remnant that matched our quartz. We requested delivery. He abruptly told us he was on his way (with no notice - in the middle of a work day) and we had to rearrange our schedule to be home. Otherwise, he was going to leave it by the side of the house (not acceptable). All in all, the situation was handled but not without a lot of frustration and compromise from us. read more

I started a small kitchen project with a big box store. Not that surprising things didn't go as planned so, I bought soapstone slabs and was told at the stone place that Jonathan and his team do great work. Few 5 star yelp reviews... gave him a call. He was able to fit me in on my timeline, he was very nice, professional, so we booked the job. His partner came out to do the measuring prior to cutting the stone. It was fast, had to remind him that we bought 3cm stone slab (P.S. if you are doing countertops and backsplash in same material do NOT do 3cm. Looks bad, costs more.) Luis did not mention to us that 3cm is not great for indoor counters, not great for backsplash, just said we don't need to purchase the plywood. The workers came out the same day they said they would however, I was told it would be a one day install (counters and backsplash) not true. The smaller counter was in, then the guys called me into the kitchen because the backsplash was cut incorrectly. They ask if it would be OK or do I want them to come back another day. I was tired, it had been such a long frustrating process I decided to live with the incorrect backsplash on the shorter counter. About an hour later I am called back into the kitchen the backsplash on the longer counter was also cut incorrectly and there would be one outlet with only half backsplash around it. That looked terrible, talked to Jonathan and made a plan for them to have to come back. At this time I also noted and pointed out to the guys working on the project that the under-mount sink was not centered. I was assured it would be OK once it was all done. Third time they come out the backsplash is still not cut properly, the sink is not centered and they say they are done with the job. I was left with outlets still not in place, sink not centered, three chips in the stone, and handed two types of sandpaper to sand out the scratches and the stains. After my husband and I working three hours sanding and sealing the counters we had to call them back out because two of the outlets didn't fit in the backsplash. Jonathan did send his "best" workers back out to try and fix it. Long frustrating story short, I am left with cabinet drawers that don't shut properly (per Jonathan they don't level them out so, you should know that...) outlets that are not flush, disposal power that is upside down, sink that has a gap between the counter and the cabinet (lovely when the afternoon sun shines in) under-mount sink that is off center, and backsplash and counter not even. The only way to fix this mess is to buy two new slabs of soapstone (at $4,000) and pay to have it totally redone. read more

He worked with my schedule to come by at my earliest convenience, offered a solid price and had measurements and installation done within a week.
