Over the weekend of July 4th, I had called Pacific Compounding Pharmacy to refill my furry baby's eye drops. Unfortunately, time slipped away while I was caught up in a meeting, and by the time I remembered, it was already 5 PM--and the pharmacy had closed early for the holiday weekend, as the pharmacist had kindly reminded me beforehand. Even though they were closed, I still left a voicemail, hoping someone might hear it. To my surprise and immense relief, the very next morning I received a call from Marie. She was kind, patient, and incredibly thoughtful--truly one of the most caring individuals I've ever spoken with in customer service. My pet depends on these eye drops because he doesn't produce his own tears, and we weren't scheduled to return to town until July 14. Marie went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of during a time when most wouldn't even return a call. Thank you, Marie, for thinking of us and for going above and beyond. Pacific Compounding Pharmacy has served me very well for probably almost a year now. There doesn't seem to be too many options to fill my specific prescription in California, not within over an hour drive for me, but they're usually able to fill it and ship it to me within 1-3 days of receiving it from my doctor, overnighting it for a reasonable extra charge. I'm not familiar with their broader selection, but they had what I needed and their website will offer more insight into the other compounded medicines they offer! Horrible place. The delivery service they use is incompetent and continuously reports they weren't able to deliver to address for reasons that are untrue. They want to charge you an extra $20 to have packages delivered through Fed-Ex so you can actually receive your order. The customer service is atrocious. Gina is extremely rude and unprofessional, she is argumentative and she likes to interrupt and speak over the customer when they try to talk. I had an eye condition causing me a lot of discomfort (I was spending my entire day with both eyes shut), and my health plan was projected 7-10 business days (turned out to be 12, after they failed to cancel the order). Pacific produced them in ONE day and shipped them overnight (necessary, because they must stay frozen until use). Not cheap, but worth every penny to get treatment going. Had I waited on my health plan's pharmacy, the eye drops would have arrived the same day as my first follow up appointment with the doctor, and I'd have had an extra two plus weeks of discomfort. I had several follow up questions in the weeks after the prescription arrived, and the staff, including the pharmacist, were very helpful and detailed in their replies. Pharmacist Marie has been excellent for me and my friends to whom I've recommended her. Personally she's the only one who was able to get my hormones balanced. After a lifetime of hormone imbalances plus other problems, when menopause hit hard (pow!)and after I tried other routes, I went to Marie and she nailed it immediately. Symptomatically she is amazingly adapt in evaluating a woman's needs, but she doesn't stop there because she provides saliva tests as well. Not only that, she also was keen to diagnose an adrenal fatigue problem I have had for years. (And she did that without a test) She put me on supplements that have been excellent - excellent! Truly I feel as though she gave me my life back! Her rates are not astronomical - they are extremely reasonable, and she's extremely accessible plus she has a bedside manner of an angel and a teacher combined. Do Not Go Here!!!*** I used this company for a grand total of three times, between May 2022- August 2022 while I used this company the prices went up each time for the same prescription and strength(buprenorphine) for my dying cat, a simple pain medication went from $65 to $85 without any notice to me. When I called for what would be my final medication refill *my cat will be passing away within the month* I talked to Brandon the pharmacist on 9/20/2022 he notified me that I was basically overpaying, but confirmed my refill would indeed be filled on 9/21/22. When I called the pharmacy the next day for clarification on pricing and reasoning for the drastic price change as well to be sure it was shipped, I was told he had simply mis-spoke and a miscommunication on my end and made to feel like it was my fault, to disregard what I had been told. Though this didn't make sense so when I questioned them again I was told I was being rude and "bullying" their staff by Don the owner. I wasn't even properly sent the prescription in the first place. When my doctor prescribed a 30-day amount I was only given a 2-week supply but I was still charged for the 30-day amount of the other medication clindamycin total price of which of $89.43 (including shipping) which I was told the reasoning behind this was I was paying for materials and supplies to make this medication even though I wasn't given the full prescribed amount this time. I have now been told they will not send the medications at all and my dying cat is being punished for a disagreement about pricing, even when I told them I would pay the higher price despite not agreeing with them. Thankfully after calling the vet I was able to find another place that would fill my prescription at what is the normal average price of $65 and also gave me the full month supply at that price of both medications at a compounding pharmacy . At the end of the day, I only asked for an apology and the owner wouldn't even do that, . Go to Remedy RX in ROSEVILLE they are a compounding pharmacy with excellent customer service and quick response, btw I am getting a 60 day supply of the Clindamycin for 65.00 dollars. read more

They don't make this product at Pacific Compounding but he gave me some helpful tips for finding a pharmacy who can make it. I am late on providing this review, but want to give these "guys" the best rating, as they were heroes to me and my buddy. My cat, Melvin Belli Provost, has calici and has a really hard time breathing. My previous vet had given me a prescription, but he had moved out of the area. Another vet gave me a prescription for what was similar, but needed to be done at a compounding pharmacy. Marie and her staff worked hard to get the right prescription for Melvin, and in a hurry. Marie is the best thing I ever did for myself!!!!! From my own research I knew my hormones were "out whack". I also knew I needed hormone replacement therapy, but thought I would probably have to travel to Sacramento or the Bay Area to get some help with Bio Identical Hormones. Our beloved cat was desperately ill. We took her to the vet first thing Wednesday 5/24/17 to Walker Vet. The vet called in a prescription for an appetite stimulant & my husband was referred to Pacific Compounding & the vet said it would be ready mid morning. He went to pick it up around noon and it was not ready & was given a song & dance that we had to pay in advance & that it would NOT be ready until the following day. They said they opened at 10 & it would be ready by noon at the latest. Meanwhile, our cat was going without the prescribed meds. However, when my husband called at noon on 5/25/17 he was told it was still NOT ready but they would call him when it was. Finally, he was SO frustrated that he txt me at 4:30 so worried about our cat & telling me they would close at 5 & they hadn't called him yet. I then got out from under the hairdryer with dye in my hair at the salon in Lincoln Center to call. The lady checked & said it was ready with no apologies. We would under NO circumstances refer this business to anyone! Their customer service was horrible. And thanks to them our cat went 2 entire days without getting the meds/nutrients she needed & we were forced with the sickening decision to put her down the evening of 5/27/17. read more

This pharmacy is a great business. They are so helpful and willing to work with you. My cat snowball has stomatitis and is need of regular medicine. They have made his medicine when others could not. They work diligently to get his medicine out promptly. I would highly recommend them. They call back and update you regularly. They will contact vet or doctor if needed. I have been a customer of Pacific Compounding for many, many years - can't remember how long. I am totally shocked by the bad reviews, and it appears that people are more motivated to write a review on Yelp if they have had a bad experience. This business has grown and thrived for years, so they must be doing something right. I originally sought out Pacific Compounding with regard to plant-based hormone replacement therapy. They have worked with my doctor, and my needs have been met, and this therapy is still working for me. They have also met other pharmaceutical needs of mine to replace medications that big drug manufacturers have decided not to make any more; they have also compounded medications for me to replace medications (made by large drug manufacturers) that became cost prohibitive, and, by the way, work better. I find the owners and their personnel friendly and customer oriented. Yes, the medications can be costly because insurance usually does not cover them. The fact that Pacific Compounding is available to me and makes available products that help my body to such the degree that they do much outweighs the cost in my estimation. In conclusion I would like to suggest that if you should have a need that Pacific Compounding can help you with, give them a try. read more

If you have a lot of money to burn this is a good place to burn it! A $100 assessment fee charged just to be told add the progesterone that Kaiser prescribes. Then $50 for a five minute phone call telling me to double the progesterone and a form letter sent to Kaiser Doc requesting additional dosage. When questioned about the cost I was told they spent a "good deal of time on the letter". Then another $50 ten minute session saying try stopping the estrogen supplement. She was baffled when I said I was still getting woken up 4-5 times a night from night sweats. If they charged resonably I would not complain since Kaiser wasn't helping me either, but, charges are extremely excessive for what you get! Mostly dissatisfied with this business and I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

I ran around the back yard with my dog yesterday. Funny way to start out a review, I know. 5 months ago I could hardly walk across my front room without feeling exhausted or having a crying fit. I had no idea what was going on. I spent 2 days in bed. Missing life with my family. I went to my doctor and was advised to join a gym. No test...no other questions asked. I went home hopeless. A friend told me about Pacific compounding pharmacy. I went feeling discouraged but still went. Someone had to know what this was. Marie was like a breath of fresh air. We sat and I spoke about everything that was happening. Ever time I would lookup at her she had a understanding smile and comfort. We discussed everything and she had a plan for me, for us. This was not a positive experience! After several years of researching and learning about hormone replacement therapy I finally made a decision use bioidentical hormones. I was referred by a good friend of mine who is also a customer. After the first initial appointment with the the Pharmacist I thought this would be a great fit until I got my first prescription of Progesterone cream, my symptoms had worsened with hot flashes, night sweats, acne and unwanted facial hair I literally felt horrible. After several call attempts and leaving messages I finally spoke with the Pharmacist to inform her of my symptoms, Saliva testing was done, I new my hormones were out out of alignment I just didn't know to what extreme. I finally received test results one week later which confirmed what I initially thought. Recommendations was made by the Pharmacist and clearly there was no follow-up made on her behalf.
