My daughter has been attending Pacific Dance for over a year now. I placed her in the 3 year old combo class as soon as there was a spot available. The teachers here are fantastic! Having a background in all genres of dance, I chose Pacific Dance because it reminded me of the strict, thorough and insightful dance academy's that I had learned from. Miss Brittini was excellent. With a class full of toddlers, she had an enormous amount of patience and she recognized the children that were willing to participate with full attention. With a class full of babies, there are children that can be very disruptive and make the other children become distracted. I appreciate the studios complete understanding in this as ALL of the parents that have enrolled their children are paying for the classes and when one child disrupts on a regular basis, the studio will make it aware that maybe that child just isn't ready. This studio is awesome for learning the foundation and principles of dance. My daughter has moved up a class (with Ms. Danielle who is also amazing) and at 4 years old has already been learning dance vocabulary and proper technique. Don't bring the little ones here. The instructors are not trained for early childhood interaction and as a result, have terrible sense of how to interact with 3 year olds. One little girl was trying to interrupt another little girl who was trying to ignore and pay attention during class. Instead of being patient and working with the two, REANNAN threw both of the girls out of class indicating they were disruptive and should not be in the class. The girl who was not the aggressor did not understand why she was being punished and cried for an hour. She should be fired. Awful!! I will not return and will certainly NOT recommend this place. read more

So impressed with their camp for girls 7-12! My daughter came back every day excited and raving about how fun camp was. They keep the girls interested by working on several different genres of dance throughout the week and a performance at the end of the week. I can tell that my daughter was always learning, engaged and interested and I think that's what all parents hope for when they drop their kids off for 5 hours a day! I thought of this school due to location since close from home but when I saw a review on yelp I got a bit of a cold feet. Sure enough, things didn't work out at all. I signed up my 3 year old for a free ballet/tap combo class to see how she'd do and she was going great even though the class had 14 kids, or at least it seemed like it. The teacher, Brittni Sinift, seemed very nice and helped her out even with tying the laces on her ballet slippers a few times, directing her to sit down or wait a bit for her turn. It all seemed normal, but I do have an enthusiastic, spirited & eager 3 year old and I am not sure that bothered the instructor or not but towards the end, my little one was upset for not having tap dancing shoes and because the teacher wouldn't help her with her slippers and sat on the floor and wouldn't respond or move. I called her a few times to get out of the class but she wouldn't till she finally came out. At that time, the teacher was coming out too after her to briefly speak with another mom of a shy child for some reason and told me my daughter needed to stay out because she was being disturbing. I just thought that was so insensitive of her. My thoughts on this, if you can't handle 3 year olds because they can be a handful you shouldn't be teaching that class. I am not going back to that school for sure. Luckily we found a studio where the teacher is very experienced and knows how to deal with kids. read more

The teachers are great. My daughter is taking jazz here. Class size is standard, unless there's a holiday and everyone is doing makeups then it could get crowded. Lots of classes offered and flexible schedule. Ms Lori is awesome. The reason why it doesnt get 5 stars from me is b/c of the asian lady at the front desk. She is phony and fake. She pretends to be nice with her breathy voice but she is not at all helpful. My child only takes one class and we travel pretty far to make this class every Tuesday at 5:30pm. Teacher's name is Ashley and she actually has a REALLY good professional resume. She has a lot of advice and experience to share with students, as she is an industry dancer and is signed to Clear Talent dance agency. I met her on set working with The Fresh Beat Band tour she assisted in choreography, and she told me she would be cutting her teaching schedules at studios in Hollywood and other locations to focus on building the hip hop departments at a studios who weren't so strong in hip hop, so I decided that my daughter would definitely be attending her class as I know she molds her dancers to be the very best. I would give the studio 5 stars, but her classes are way too packed and the room isn't that big at all! The kids are practicing for recital with little to no space and I feel so bad for Ashley as I know and have seen the quality of her work. Also there is a waiting list so good luck trying to get your kid in her class. I know at previous studios she has done PG groups with a pretty good record at placing number #1 and rumor is she will be doing a PG group this year, if so I'm pretty sure next year this studio and her classes will be even more packed than they already are. I took 2 classes here recently (yoga and pilates) and really enjoyed them. The yoga class was a little small for the number of people there but the teacher was really good about walking around and checking on us. I took the class via the city but I understand you can also directly purchase a card from the studio for $55 for 5 classes. read more

Pacific Dance is a great place for kids to fall in LOVE with dance! My daughter has been dancing for 7 years and loves this studio. We live in Huntington Beach and drive to Irvine because of everything this studio offers! We have tried 6 other closer studios but none offered everything this studio does. Pacific Dance is professionally run with award winning teachers that give everything they have to the kids. Great dancers and teachers and reasonable pricing. Just wish class sizes are smaller so the dancers will get more personal attention and they won't be worried about bumping into other people when they dance. Of course, the reason there are so many people is that the program is good. read more

I came here to take an adult hip hop class. The studio is gorgeous and very spacious! I love all the dance rooms and how they color coordinate them depending on the classes. I also really like that they have a store to purchase apparel and dance necessities. The lady that rang me up at the register was Super nice and helpful! Great customer service! There were only a couple things I didn't like- I tried calling a couple times before my first class and didn't get an answer until the 3rd try. They were probably busy but it was upsetting that I had to be persistent to get a hold of someone. I also don't think this is a great studio for adult classes. there are A TON of great kids classes but the Adult hip hop class is still very "Teeny". Luckily i really like the dance teacher, enough to stick it out for the 5 classes I paid for. But I'm not sure if the class listing is right when it says that it is for adults. read more

My daughter has been dancing at Pacific Dance since she was 6. It is a nice studio for the kids who really love dancing. The teachers there are so professional and patient especially Miss Kyle. She is a best ballet teacher for the young kids. She pays attention each individual's need and always tries to communicate with the parents and answers all questions. I went here to purchase some dance attire. When I entered the studio a note was on the shops door directing me to the front desk for help so I told the lady at the front desk I would like to browse the shop. First she looks at the clock which there was 30 full minutes left till closing and then hesitates getting up and starts asking me a million questions to see if they even have what I'm looking for. I thought that was strange instead of getting up and letting me in the store like a normal employee, so I finally told her if I could just look at the tights because I'm not sure and then she walked me in the shop and the whole time rushing making me feel very uncomfortable so I thought to myself why would I spend my money here when clearly she isn't interested in caring about the customer and genuinely helping. It seemed all she was concerned about was not dealing with anyone and closing. I don't recommend this place for purchasing your dance attire I ended up driving to Anaheim to the "discount dance supply" where they really cared and helped me with exactly what I needed read more

My daughter has been dancing at Pacific Dance for years. The teachers are very committed to the kids. They have classes for the recreational and more serious dancer so be sure you try a class that is the correct level. If your child is in a class that is not their level it can be frustrating (and they might leave a negative comment). Ignore those comments - it is a great studio that cares very much about its dancers and their technique. Especially Miss Kyle, who is very professional and much loved by her students! read more
