We've been dancing with Pacific Dance since my daughter was 3 (she loved being able to wear a tutu) and now she's 8. We mainly started because my daughter was so shy. We wanted her to develop the confidence to open up and we have watched her grow so much as a dancer. Performing in front of hundreds of people is something that would've terrified me as a child, but she has embraced it so quickly. This was her first year with the performing group and despite learning the dance mainly on Zoom this year, the girls did a phenomenal job at regionals and nationals. She had her dance friends by her side and an AMAZING teacher. Miss Erin is one of those teachers that you can tell LOVES her job, takes the sport seriously, and will be that one person on the sidelines cheering the loudest for your little dancer! This year was extra challenging and I was so happy with how Pacific Dance handled the lockdown, masks mandates, and reopening to ensure that parents felt safe enough to let their girls return to the studio at whatever pace we felt comfortable with. We have made some amazing friends and met so many wonderful young dancers. I also love the sportsmanship of the older girls cheering on the little ones and encouraging them. It's so great being part of this dance "family".

My daughter has been at Pacific Dance since 2020 and it has truly become our second home! She loves every one of her teachers and the staff, and feels so safe and loved when attending dance! Their patience and understanding with kids of all ages is excellent and puts me at ease as a parent knowing my daughter is in good hands. Then we enter into the actual ability to teach dance! As a parent who never took dance a day in her life, let's just say I am lost and they have done such an incredible job of not only teacher her the appropriate technique, but also teaching her to love the art of dance! We are forever grateful to ALL of the staff at Pacific Dance and are honored to call them our dance family!

Great studio for my younger relative to take lessons. She like the ballet class & instructor. Clean place and got some showers inside to clean up. Quality service to for sure trust.

How are the classes for adults, particularly belly dance?

Hi Mercedes- we have some fun adult classes: Pilates, yoga, jazz, tap and ballet. Sorry no belly dancing. Let us know if you would like to try a free class.

Other studios I've been to have either been too strict or too easygoing and baby the children. That being said, the ladies who run this studio are absolutely lovely (Ms Kelly and Carrie). My daughter is LEARNING the fundamentals of dance and has fun at the same time. The TDC community is very welcoming and supportive as well. Dance moms are not usually known for being the friendliest sort, and all of the moms and dads I've crossed paths with here have been so incredibly kind. It's a really nice place for kids to take classes. I highly recommend coach Kaylee and coach Talia. They are both amazing, and my daughter looks forward to going to class every week. She has made friends in class, and throughly enjoys being at this school. If you're looking for a dance studio, I highly recommend you try out a class.

Great dance studio!…read more My daughter is 2 1/2 and we attended a free trial of the Kindermusik class. It was a lot of fun -- she absolutely loved it. The class had a lot of energy and creativity through song and story telling, which is great for encouraging kids to use their imagination. The teacher was fun and energetic which made the experience even better. If the schedule works for us, we'll definitely be signing her up for more classes. I highly recommend trying out this dance studio! They offer classes for both kids and adults. Hopefully once things calm down with the kids, I'll be able to try one of the adult classes too. :)

Everything is so overpriced that only those of means can afford it. The fact that a musical production will cost you $900 is ridiculous. My son would have loved to do it, but in this world, that price is too high for a lot of families. This makes art unavailable to most and makes it only available to those who can pay. Even his simple class ended up costing us so much money with recital fees and ticket prices that it makes it hard for a family to survive and give their child access to the arts. I have worked in theater for years and never paid this much for a production. These are kids! We don't need a fancy venue to watch a 10-minute performance. And charging $35 per ticket, including infants, is ridiculous. This place is just out of reach for so many families, and that makes me so sad for the lack of arts being introduced to all children, not just those who can pay thousands of dollars a year. The final nail in the coffin for me was the costume we received for my son's recital. While the girls got pretty costumes, my son got a white shirt and plain black shorts. I spoke up, and they changed it. But what if I didn't? Would the boys be getting less than the girls? They changed it, but someone should be advocating for the boys. I have a degree in costume design, and that was not the best or even minimum they could do. If they are paying a service for those costumes, I would definitely rethink it. This place just reminds me how important community theater is. Don't support places like this, but instead, go find a local theater and help your kids find their love for the arts in a not-for-profit setting. This is just overpriced and elitist.

On one occasion, the owner spoke with the teacher for over 10 minutes while the children were left waiting. When I pointed out that 15 minutes of class time had already passed, she responded that she was the owner and was discussing competition-related matters for another class. Those discussions could have taken place outside of class time, rather than at the expense of my children's paid lesson. She then suggested that we request a free class voucher. However, the issue is not about receiving another class--we attend at the scheduled time because that is when we are available. Scheduling an additional makeup class does not truly compensate for the lost time and requires us to make an extra trip, which is inconvenient and unnecessary.

They refunded me for the concert fee but not the $70 deposit. It would make anyone uncomfortable to not be allowed to see your 3 year old child except on camera. My child is sensitive to loud sounds and not having me there could cause her to panic. They also said she had to use a public bathroom on her own. They mentioned a lack of refunds or makeups without doctor's notes, but then when I mentioned this causing sickness spreading in class they said they just need to know in advance. I'm not sure why they would flip on this unless they were just trying to keep my money. Quite unethical.
