After we had changed all of our interior door hardware from polished brass, which had been outdated for some time, to venetian bronze, we decided to tackle the nine foot double entry doors. Knowing the extensive list of hardware needed I went to Pacific Door with photos and our desired finish and style. I was told the style I wanted was not available in venetian bronze but the matte black was very close and not noticeable. Since these guys were experts in the industry I took the sales rep for his word and had him work up the order, which was almost $1K. I was not trying to nickel and dime the process and was willing to pay extra for piece of mind of having it done right. I was provided with a list of preferred non affiliated contractors and selected Joe Z, based on a neighbors experience using him. I picked up the order once the special order hardware was received. The entire order was tightly wrapped in cellophane and labeled with my name, which was somewhat butchered but it was not a big deal. The night before the installer was scheduled to arrive I unwrapped all the pieces and layed them out near the entry doors in an attempt to make it easier for the installer. I immediately discovered the screws for the eight hinges were not included. After calling Pacific Door and learing the screws should have been included I rushed to the store to pick up the screws. Once the installer arrived and viewed the layed out hardware he immediately noticed the door sill was not included. Another call to the store deternimed they had overlooked including it in the order although I paid for it. Another trip to store to pick up the missing part so the installer could finish the job. Since the installer was waiting on the sill I grabbed and hustled back to my house without closely examining it. I do accept a portion of the blame for not noticing the deep scratch on the sill which showed the underlying silver metal. However, I was not about to make a third trip to the store that morning. I understand mistakes could happen and was willing to overlook the missing screws. However, after I had to make a second trip to store due to their lack of quality control I was disppointed in selecting them for my business. It is worth noting that they never apologized for their error and never offered to compensate me for my troubles and wasted gas, which was now at $6 a gallon. To make matters worse after the installation I discovered the handsets I selected were available in venetian bronze at the local big box hardware store. The fact the big box store sold the same items for considerably less did not factor into my poor rating. I was willing to pay for their expertise in making sure I had all the neccessary hardware. My suggestion is to unwrap the items before you leave the store and compare them to what you received and to what you had ordered and paid for. The one positive experience was the work done by Joe Z. He arrived on time and worked non-stop to install all the hardware and even corrected the misalligned doors due to the age and weight of them. Joe Z deserves 5 stars, but Pacific Door was a disappointment. read more

Top notch all the way. My BIL has done business with PD for years on his construction jobs. My hubby replaced all the windows for our next door neighbor and purchased them from PD. (Black framed, they look really good on her house!). The hubby has bought more doors than windows over the years and has always been pleased with them. Yesterday we needed to figure out a window for a new addition on our house. We headed to PD after checking out the in stock windows at Lowe's and Home Depot. Only $140 at both stores, but they just looked CHEAP. They didn't have what we needed in stock at PD, but manufacturing time is just four weeks (1/2 the time we were told at another place). They know their stuff at PD and everyone was super nice. Check them out for windows, doors, barn doors and related hardware. Just west of Palm Ave, behind the dealerships that are north of Herndon. This is my second time using pacific doors and the same issue occurred. I took both closet doors and bedroom doors in so they could use the dimensions to make new doors. Experience 1 (bedroom doors) - we went back three times because the length of the doors were an INCH too short. The staff acted like it was no big deal. Experience 2 (closet doors) - I cannot stress enough that I took in the exact closet door with the dimensions that I needed. When my contractor came today to hang up the closet doors they were AGAIN too short. I'm not even going to bother going back. Super fun experience. read more

So glad I found this local place. We've been remodeling our home and we're about to drive out of town to purchase baseboards. A friend recommended I check here, I would have never thought to look here for baseboards/molding but so glad we did. I arrived at the showroom and all their samples are on a display window so you can easily pick a style that you like. I picked a few and a friendly salesperson gave me quotes. A great value for what you get, I would've paid 50% more at a big box store. Most baseboards could be supplied within a day I came back the next day and was off and loaded within minutes. They have very experienced salespeople, great rates and products. I'd absolutely refer others here who are looking to update or upgrade their home. read more

She was patient and extremely helpful. Door was ordered and should arrive in one day. They have so many different types of doors to choose from. Sergio not only called me to tell me what hardware would work best in my old front door, but he worked very hard to install a néw hardware set in a very old door. I came in to get a door that matched the others in my house. Chris explained what I needed. I told him I was going to return the door I got from Home Depot then. When I ordered the door advised him I needed the Rh like I bought from Home Depot. However when I picked up the door it was opposite from the Rh door from Home Depot. Chris then advised me that their RH and LH is different from commercial and Home Depot. I was told it would be approximately $50 to fix that. I explained to Chris twice I had told him I was referring to a Home Depot door when I ordered and also what my handy man told me. His response was that handyman get that wrong all the time. If this was such a common problem why wasn't I advised since I am not a contractor and told him I was returning a Home Depot RH door. When I called to talk to a manager no one responded. Hot water heater door was well made and fit the existing frame perfectly. Hinge and door knob cutouts were very precise. The two vents are backed with a mesh screen to keep the bugs out. read more

Their customer service, timeliness, and professionalism is very lackluster. They just don't care about anyone who is just spending a couple thousand. They want the big fish only and it shows. I called Pacific Door to get an estimate for the doors in my house. Joe came out that very day. Great work. Fixed a couple locks for me, no charge, while he took the measurements. Very impressed. Said someone from the office would call me with the estimate. This was Friday. No call by the following Wednesday. I called Thursday. Said they would get back to me. No call. Called again a week later. They apologized, put someone on the phone. She said they couldn't find the paperwork but would look and get back to me. No one ever called back. read more

If there was a red star for "STAY AWAY" I would mark that. I had the worst experience of my entire master bedroom/bath remodel with this company. After multiple visits with my decorator and contractor to the showroom, which isn't much, to explain exactly what I wanted in both interior doors and exterior windows, the order did not get placed, although they had my money until the six week mark when I called to see if they were in. Then six weeks after that the windows arrived and every opening was ordered incorrectly. Every single part of the order was wrong! When my contractor, decorator and myself met with the owner he said he would make it right only to follow it up 2 days later with an email to me stating I will learn to like the windows he ordered. In the end, I had to go out and find another company to re-order my correct windows and install them. Luckily the other company was extremely professional, went over everything with me, visited the sight multiple times, and actually delivered the windows in the time frame expected. I made the mistake of not going to them originally. Never again. I will make the call to Reedley to use them in the future. This turned out to be the most unprofessional company I have ever had to deal with. If you are doing a project big or small, you better go to another vendor because this one will not stand by his work or his word. read more
