Pacific Dreamscapes did a great job on our outdoor kitchen. We explained what we had in mind in terms of size, location, pavers, and appliances, and they worked with us to build a living space that we are very happy with. The work crew was efficient and professional - our neighbors commented on the fact that they cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each work day. The entire project was completed in a little over two weeks.

Front yard waterfall (pond-less) and riverbed.

Robert at Pacific Dreamscapes designed a front and backyard including all my wishes. I have a beautiful waterfall and riverbed in the front with artificial turf and a beautiful paver patio, gas fire pit and turf in the backyard. They professionally installed a drainage system that I was really in need of, sprinklers and drought resistant plants. My yard turned out better than I hoped for. His crew was careful, did artistic detailed pavers and I'm very, very happy with the results. The project was a bit expensive but I received such a beautiful result, it was well worth it. Robert was upfront about dates, time required and once work started, the crew was here full time and never left me hanging. They cleaned up daily and the huge crew was very professional and skilled and truly a delight.

    Pergola, water feature, planters

We were looking to add a pergola to match our existing pergolas and include a water feature underneath with some planters as well. We had already had a design drawn up, and Robert and his team were able to turn the design into a reality! Leo, who was our project manager, was absolutely fantastic - responsive, reliable, present, and adaptable to minor changes that were necessary in the course of the project. He really took the time to understand the full scope of the project from the get go, and I cannot compliment him enough. The construction team was respectful and they all worked hard to make sure that every detail was done just right. From start to finish, we were extremely pleased with Pacific Dreamscapes and certainly recommend Robert and his team highly.

    Pergola at Mt. Helix residence.

Robert Kramer II created a very sturdy pergola that mimics the mid-century design of my house. His measurements were exact, and the structure stands in perfect harmony with the pool that reflects it.

    Front walkway

We hired Pacific Dreamscapes to take out our old thirsty lawn in the front yard and put in some water smart landscape. We ended up removing the driveway and walkways and installing pavers, re-doing the drainage system, the watering system and then re-landscaping the front yard. Kudos to the crew, they are thoughtful, professional and hard workers. They did their best to stay out of our way and kept us as functional as possible during the time we had no driveway or walkways. Also, they are experienced landscapers had good ideas which we incorporated into the design and the overall plan. Robert is the boss and was 'hands on' throughout and frequently did a good bit of the work himself. If he wasn't on site, he checked on progress and results daily. The final result is excellent. Particularly the newly repaired and enhanced drainage system. Our lot slopes down from the street toward the house, so rain can be a concern. Prior to this work, heavy rains frequently would cause puddling a foot or two into the garage. Robert's drainage upgrades totally resolved the problem. With the heavy rains we've had this year we've not had any rain water threaten the house or garage. After a few months a few plants died. Part of that was due to the hottest July on record in San Diego. Also though it seems that some plants just are not well suited for the 'spot' watering we installed (Regardless of these few problems, this is an excellent water saving watering method.) I swapped out a few of the small plants for other plant types. Robert took care of any of the major plants that died at no cost. Some plants took quite awhile to be replaced the reason being the the nursery stock was low. Now some 7 or 8 months later, all our plants are thriving and well suited for the landscape. Robert took care of everything we asked. Bottom line - Pacific Dreamscapes is a solid option for your landscaping project, particularly hardscapes and water features. Robert will do what needs to be done to make it work, and make you happy with the outcome.

    Outdoor kitchen

Our outdoor kitchen is finally done!!! Our final appliance came in a few days ago and was installed today. Many thanks To Robert and his team at Pacific Dreamscapes for making our outdoor dream kitchen come true!!!

Apologize for delay in posting our review. The project was completed in September 2019. Our project was to transform an unusable sloped backyard and create three separate terraces. This included retaining walls, pavers, steps, planter box, drip irrigation, relocation of water faucet, artificial turf, prepping of jacuzzi area and vinyl fencing. We called several contractors, but Robert with Pacific Dreamscapes was the only one who showed up when scheduled while others repeatedly rescheduled. Robert was able to visualize the transformation and was very patient with our endless questions. He provided a no cost sketch of the plans and estimate. It was a simple layout, but it was most helpful. As with most projects, we came across a few challenges which Robert was able to resolve. There were a few times where Robert had his crew redo something as it didn't meet his standards. The project took about 10 weeks. The key to any project is good communication and trust. We were pleased to experience both with Pacific Dreamscapes.

Our garden paradise (back) at night.

We are delighted with the "garden paradise" Robert Kramer III and his Pacific Dreamscapes team designed and built on our roughly 100x100 square foot lot in suburban San Diego. Two waterfalls anchor the backyard and feed two pleasant streams that wander between rocks and under bridges to meet in a "pondless" reservoir that recycles the water. We've been living with the gardens for over a year, and are as charmed and enthusiastic about them as ever. Plants have filled in beautifully and visitors are as agape as ever, often declaring we have the best home landscape they've experienced. At least three close neighbors have employed Robert for their own landscape projects. Robert's strengths include his talent for designing and constructing charming organic water features, diversifying space into outdoor rooms, and unifying everything with graceful, curving paths and boundaries. He's smart and creative and receptive to clients, and has a broad knowledge of local landscape plants and materials. His assistants include those skilled in masonry and other landscape trades and good communicators in their own right. The project included an automatic drip irrigation system and a low-voltage LED lighting system on a light-sensing timer. Both systems have been working reliably.. The gardens -- front and back -- exceeded our expectations and inspire wonder in visitors. We spend much more time than ever before in the several little outdoor "rooms", depending on where the shade or the breeze happens to be working best at any given time of day. We sit and work, read, dine, or just meditate to the music of two pondless waterfalls and the babbling brooks they spawn. We use rainwater from our roof to replenish the water lost through evaporation. Equally charming at night, with uplights on trees and large shrubs, quiet path lights, and moonlight rippling in the streams that join under an ornamental fountain. The waterfalls run only when turned on with remote controls -- there's no standing water to breed pests, and little maintenance beyond occasional pet-safe algae treatment. Butterflies and birds, many of which we'd never seen before, come and go. We no longer refer to it as our "yard" but as our "park." I don't think it's too much of an exaggeration to say that first-time visitors are typically astonished at the beauty and feel of the environment Robert and his Pacific Dreamscapes created for us. Custom built pond by Pacific Dreamscapes
    Steve M.

Pacific Dreamscapes did an amazing job and deserve more than 5 stars. Robert and his crew were very professional and attentive to detail. Robert is very creative in his designs and came up with the best pond I have ever seen. From the beginning until the end, I was very pleased with their work and work ethic. Robert's crew knew exactly what to do and were very careful in getting the job done. They finished the pond in lightning speed and my family has been enjoying it everyday. Will definitely recommend to all my friends who are looking for a beautiful landscape.

Robert the owner of the company was timely and responsive to all of our request. He was also here to over see & help build the waterfall project the entire time and they were fast only 4 days to complete I was impressed! He has many pictures to share of past projects he has completed to help give you ideas but you may want to have some of your own ideas prior to working with him since he doesn't necessarily draw out a design for you it is mainly a discussion so you will want to be on site during the project to work through it as they build to ensure you agree on the design choices. He is thorough and well experienced, he had a crew of guys help him as there were a lot of rocks and boulders to move around make sure you have a place to bring them in. His style of waterfall is very natural looking if that is what you want. They did a great job and we are very happy with our end product. He had a different guy Leo build the fire pit who was very easy to work with and communicated well ask questions along the way about the design choices. They did an awesome job!

They also did the initial former structure demolition, debris hauling and the requested earth moving and other necessary small retaining walls reassembly. It sounds like an easy simple job but, believe me, it got complicated quite soon. Along the construction way, I was able to interact with the crew and bounce ideas and corrections which were followed to my customer satisfaction, resulting in more than a very acceptable final product. When the inevitable, beyond his control, the one odd crew helper misbehavior occurred on the job, this contractor immediately corrected it, got on top of the problem and smoothly and quickly we had no more of an issue here. He also facilitated for me the customer to bring my own tile / stone wall-caps products and installer guys, which ended doing a beautiful job we're very proud of. Pricing fair, not inexpensive. Job done acceptable, with your own (the customer) continuous supervision and being able to stop working crew's irreparable mistakes before they happened, however, the final product came out well built and functional as we imagined and expected, we are grateful for that.
