It was a pleasure working with Doug; he is a true professional. He showed up on time for the assessment of our home that would take care of the multiple issues that we were having. He does a lot of work for and throughout Leisure Village in Camarillo, and he came very highly recommended by a tradesman that I trust from another venue. Doug provided an estimate of what he felt was needed to make the house more comfortable for us. He could have told us that the entire house needed to be rewired because of its age, but having a solid knowledge of Leisure Village, he knew what NEEDED to be done while keeping it affordable. We had three new dedicated lines run from the outside box into the kitchen so we could use multiple appliances simultaneously. We also had all of the outside circuit breakers replaced as they were 40+ years old. Doug suggested that we consider adding a "whole-house" surge protector to the circuit box. We didn't even know something like that existed. Doing so, we were able to remove the clutter of a dozen+ circuit breakers located throughout our home. He also rewired the the master bathroom so we could operate our exhaust fan, and two separate lights independently from one another, which the vendor who originally installed it said was not possible. In addition, we added outside outlets so we could add a water feature to our front entrance. At the end of the day, he left the house as spotless as it was when he arrived. Since then, Doug has added LED cans in the kitchen and the office. I hired Pacific Energy Electric to install an EV charger at my parents' older home in Leisure Village. They came recommended by Tesla, and seeing they had a local 805 number gave me extra confidence we were dealing with a reputable local company. Before Doug came out, I had several concerns--mainly whether the home's older electrical panel could safely handle the added load. Doug took the time to walk me through everything in detail and reassured me that the new line would be installed properly without overloading the house. While running the line through the attic, Doug's colleague Luke discovered a major issue left behind by the HVAC company that installed a new unit the year before. Somehow, the furnace and AC wiring had been crossed, leaving capped live wires right up there with the insulation in the attic. It was a serious fire hazard. Luke spent hours tracking down and fixing the problem correctly, and we're incredibly grateful he caught it before something worse happened. We were so impressed with Doug and Luke's professionalism and workmanship that we also hired them to replace all the circuit breakers in the panel, which were long overdue for updating. Throughout the entire process, Doug and Luke were honest, upfront, and clearly took pride in their work. It's rare to find contractors who make you feel genuinely informed and taken care of every step of the way. Doug (owner) and Mike with Pacific Energy Electric completed work in my home and my wife and I are extremely pleased with the results. We had outdated switches and recessed lights replaced with brand new parts. We also had some older hazardous electrical work fixed/replaced. They helped us decide which lighting options to select from and even showed patience as we changed our minds a time or two. They will go the extra mile to ensure you are happy with the work before they leave. Furthermore, Doug's attention to detail is incredible. He makes sure to use the most functional and aesthetically pleasing parts to prevent any issues and everything looks incredible when they're done. You won't find a more knowledgeable and detailed eye when it comes to electrical work/parts. The price was fair and a detailed receipt included all of the work and materials without any hidden costs. My only honest challenge was regarding scheduling a date as they are extremely busy/in-demand - but I assure you it was worth the wait. You might find someone to do the job for cheaper price - but I do not think you will not get the same quality work in Camarillo/Ventura County. Fantastic service from Doug and Mike. Don't call anyone else! My grandparents's house in Santa Paula suddenly lost power on a Saturday morning, and we needed an electrician quickly. I tried 10 local electricians who advertised being open for business on Saturdays. Eight didn't answer, one said he wasn't willing to drive 15 minutes for "a little problem like that" and finally I got Doug. He picked up right away, figured out what the problem was, told me it'd be a $250 minimum for a Saturday visit and if that was ok he'd be right over. Sure enough, there they were in 30 minutes from Camarillo. They were friendly and got to work straight away. It took them 5 minutes to determine that the house electrical system was completely fine, but the problem was on SCE's side. After that, they gave us the number to call and coached us on the best way to get the someone dispatched as quickly as possible, even writing down a script of what to say. Doug cut his fee in half because it was such a simple outcome. Now we have Edison coming today (knock on wood) and should have our power back soon. I highly recommend this company. Doug and Mike are so professional, skilled, knowledgeable, and incredibly nice and friendly. Doug's estimate was reasonable and he was so accommodating when I changed my mind about one of the jobs I thought I wanted; he just had the estimate rewritten with no fuss. The work was done in great time and done beautifully. I needed additional ceiling lights to add to the existing 4 already there .He installed those and replaced the existing ones with the newer, more efficient ones so that they all match perfectly. Everything was put back nicely and the space perfectly cleaned up. Doug very kindly switched out a few out-of-date bulbs in another room and changed a couple of old switch plates without being asked and without extra charge. They did a superb job. I should have called Pacific Energy first. Had I done that I would have saved myself the frustration, the lost time and money. I had 2 different electrical contractors come to my home to figure out what was going on. My home was only 15 years old and yet I had breaker issues, outlet issues, even a fan in the bathroom kept blowing out lightbulbs. The contractors made their recommendations and did their work however the issues still weren't fully resolved. Thank goodness I called Pacific Energy. Of all the electricians I have used in the past Doug and his crew are the best. They are knowledgable and experienced. I am so glad that 8 years ago we found Pacific Energy. They have rewired my dining room, living room and replaced my fuse box when My husband noticed a burnt-out fuse. literaly burnt!.
