I have been living here for over 4 years. This is the home my son has known most of his life since he was only 8 months old when we moved in. He had so many firsts here, including walking. The only complaints I ever had were about other tenants, and those issues were addressed very quickly. Maintenance is super quick and friendly and I've never had any issues with the office. However, after over 4 years living here, they have decided not to renew my lease, and while I understand that is their right, it just shows how little these bigger property management companies could care less about the people they rent to, even though those people are the ones keeping the business open. This is our home, we are comfortable here, we feel safe here, we don't want to move. But now, as a single mom, I have to figure out another place to live that is safe and comfortable for me and my son, and I have to figure out how to pay for movers, find the time after work to pack 4 years of living (the cost of packing), the application fees for a new apartment, probably administrative fees and a deposit, changing addresses with the DMV (more time away from work to do so), change addresses with everyone...and for what? These property management companies don't care about any of that, they just want to refuse to renew a lease so they can charge the next renter hundreds more per month (and hope they actually stay, aren't a horrible neighbor for other tenants, and pay their rent in time). Anyway, I'm not saying don't move here, I really do enjoy living here (mostly) - I am saying the property management company won't care that you made it your home, and give you slightly over 2 months to figure everything out, in this economy. read more

I have been living here for going on 11 years now and I'm consistently impressed by the level of service that it always provided by the entire staff. The office staff are always so friendly and they do a great job of making everyone feel at home. The maintenance team is always quick to respond and are tremendous at their jobs. If something needs fixing, they're going to do it right the first time and always with a smile and great attitude. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and the apartments themselves have great up to date amenities. I absolutely love living here and if I could give it a 6 out of 5 stars, I would. read more

Today I received a refund of my deposit (two days late and only 20% of my deposit) because they deducted for smoke in the duct work and damaged countertops. First, in 9 years we never allowed anyone to smoke in our apartment. Second, no countertops were damaged as evidenced by my neighbors. Pacific Islands never checked the duct work when we were living there, in fact, when they recharged our fire extinguisher, they gave me a new A/C filter and told me to put it in. I have neighbors that will testify that the condition of our apartment was perfect, no counter damage. Pacific Islands have not responded ot any of my comments and, as a matter of principle, I will file a complaint with the real estate commissioner and I will not let this go. I told Pacific Islands about the situation and they don't care. My opinion is "don't rent here". They fabricated damages to keep my deposit. Send me pictures of any damages Tom Ferguson read more

From the initial phone call, through the application process and move in, the entire process was near seamless. Kayla, the employee who made herself absolutely available to assist with my millions of questions was the sweetest most attentive person I've had the pleasure of working with. Downsizing from a large home into a condo on such short notice due to our previous owner's last minute decision to sell, was an overall stressful process. That coupled with an extremely competitive rental market, location restrictions, price expects, necessary amenities, and great zoned schools made for a difficult search. Pacific Islands checked off every need and request on that list. The layout of our 3 bedroom 2 bath is ideal. The neighborhood is quiet, clean, and up-kept. Our neighbors have been extremely kind and polite thus far. The square footage and price is extremely comparative for the area. The condition of our condo upon move in was literally the best I've ever seen. Immaculate. We haven't had to request any work orders as of yet, but from my neighbors experiences, they seem to be responsive. My packages have also been safe at my doorstep. The application process itself was simple and straight forward. Kayla kept in contact with us throughout the entire experience. The ID verification was a little stressful, but I think that was due to an error on our part and not theirs. Fat finger syndrome (LOL.) The complex has two beautiful pools, one of which we have already enjoyed, plenty of bbq pits and a play ground. The gym is simple but equipped. The sauna also looks promising! I also enjoy the simple rent payment process online. Overall, I'm glad we made the right choice in leasing here. Moved in over a year ago. Rent was a little over $1600 a month.. Went up to over $1900 this year/ month... 2 bedroom and not worth it, but had to renew. Grounds are kept clean, pools are nice, the little gym is nice , and for the most part people are friendly. Quiet place for sure until recently..more on that shortly. Maintenance crew is great ...however within a year the face of the draws have come off, cheap updates, flooring is starting to lift , and the closet doors in the bedrooms are cheap and constantly come off track, sliding door blinds are cheap and constantly falling out of the track. kayla, in office is very sweet and helpful.. The manager, Mary, needs an attitude adjustment or a new job . we were told by maintenance shes in charge..more on that topic when we move out . Office is decorated for holidays and have candy in the office for the kids on Halloween. Christmas they have a contest for decorations and tape a happy holidays letter with a candy cane on your door..my wife thought that was cute. Security is my main concern now. They have someone on foot until 2am and the 2nights hes off theres no one patrolling on foot yet, theres supposed to be. Last week people were looking into cars with flashlights. Around the same time someones Dodge Charger was broken into. Security on foot MUST be amped up ASAP. We pay way more then enough now and security is a must. Please do better. read more

this apartments are very unprofessional I was asked to call back after my last review and they are changing the story consistently about why they cannot approve us. will not refund us, and are very rude, unprofessional and are accusing us of harassment for calling when the reply to the review was asking for us to reach out to resolve our issues. we have a guarantor with 830 credit and over 6 figures in the bank and they wont work with us. wont provide us information to contact the owner and their regional office had Paula hang up on us and Brenda won't talk to us. don't rent here, don't apply here they will keep your money and lie to you about approval to keep the admin fees and holding fees! read more

The office staff (Jonathan in particular) is very nice and responsive. While we had to leave due to very rude and inconsiderate neighbors (who didn't feel community rules applied to them), I really think the staff did the best they could for us, and we are appreciative of that. The maintenance workers are also very friendly, and come to fix any issues within 24 hours. read more

If you move into these apartments a word of advice is Do Not leave reviews on any public platform lol or don't call about any service issues. They decided to not renew my lease because they have horrible communication the manager is beyond rude she has an attitude even over the phone because i refuse to pay for something i didn't dang My floor is damaged because the vinyl is cheap and when it was put down it was put down incorrectly. I've never been late on rent even paid ahead of time. I've posted about the thin walls, ants and floors. All they do is call me and ask to remove the post even before they fix anything. Lol. I guess i made them actually do work and they're lazy in the office so owell. The front office staff has been horrible since i originally signed my lease 10/2020 the new ppl are rude, inconsiderate, not good as communication at all. I was already planning on not renewing my lease anyways, so this is funny. I moved in in May, so it's early days yet, but so far I love it! The maintenance is first rate, the office staff is friendly and efficient, really helpful with my move in from another state, and the apartment itself is very well laid out and appointed. This place is great, only downside is it's so damn expensive to live here, I was okay with 1.300 for a three Belem, but then the prices went up high. I decided to extend my lease six more months and am now paying just about 1,500, I was thinking about maybe renewing, but sadly because if cost will most likely leave. My upstairs neighbor who has been here 15 years will be leaving as well, they really should of worked with him a good loyal resident. read more

Mixed bag for me. The good: mostly clean community, quiet for the most part, bug free, nice interior and appliances. Quick response time for repair issues. Ample parking for guests. The bad: very low water pressure for showering. If you have long hair it's better to just take a bath. If you have a pet be prepared for multiple harassing notices regarding pet poop. I always pick up after my dog and even after others now out of fear that I'll be charged for it and yet I continue to receive letters threatening both fines and legal action! Are you kidding me!? They charge high fees for auto paying rent. At $25 a pop I've opted out of autopay. The pool is not heated and is icy all year long. Guess it's convenient when it's 100+ degrees out, otherwise brr! Overall, it's a nice community and I would recommend living there. read more

We decided not to rent and responded but, because Cindy had Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday off, with Monday being closed for Labor Day, we were denied our refund."It was over 72hours since you were approved that your refusal was received" was what they used to rip us off. I've lived here for over 6 months. Move in process was good, when I've needed help with maintenance it's been quick. Online system to pay and request help is very helpful. I haven't had a chance to use all facilities due to weather. Overall I enjoy the place, people in community are nice. They have already raised water or trash bill.... believe they will continue to raise prices overall. read more

I been at this place for seven years almost and never missed or been late on a monthly rent payment. My hot water tank bust and gets on fire and in my bedroom my whole carpet is wet and stinks like mildew. I talk to Tina the manager and ask for compensation on this and says I can stay at a hotel but at there choice and you chose a hotel that's about 20mins from were I live. Then Tina comes to my apartment and goes to my room and said it does not smell like mildew it smells body order and tells me I need to change my sheets. Terrible customer service what so ever. Also tells me I can sleep on my sofa while they dry out my bedroom for the next 48hrs. I have my dresser and other stuff taking out my room in my living room which I understand but kinds of crowds up my living room now. This place was nice when we first moved in. Now there is drug use everywhere, loud parties at the barbecue area, and all our stuff was stolen off our front porch. To top it off they charged us to replace our carpet when we moved out. We are super clean people and don't even wear shoes in our house. Our carpet was in perfect condition. We have been renting for over 20 years and have always received our full deposit back. Don't rent here unless you want to be ripped off. read more

If any of my friends are searching for a place to rent from, do NOT look to #gscapartments / #pacificislandapartments. They have the worst, most careless, most inconsiderate management you could imagine. This lease has been nothing but problems, broken machinary I have to call about for months (still doesn't work 100% of the time), they told us they needed to redo our floors because they creak, displaced us 40 minutes from my wife's work in a hotel, and left our home a complete wreck. They moved all our furniture (and misplaced just about everything), but didnt cover anything up during the work, so it was covered in dust and filth. They broke some of our furniture, which they replaced, but left the destoyed pieces next to a full garbage bag in our living room. They left holes in all of our tile, which they had to come back today to fix, telling me it would take an hour. Two and a half hours later, I'm STILL sitting on my back porch, after an outside contractor was let into my home while i slept, with no time frame or phone call from management. They know I have a dog, this guy was in my home with the front door wide open, what if my dog had run out and been gone forever? Worse, what if he'd bitten this stranger in his space, and I get sued by the contractor? I will NEVER sign a lease with this company again, and I am going to actively campaign to make sure no one I know does either. This WAS shared to my Facebook. read more

The staff here are prompt in responding to any requests, the maintenance folks know what they are doing, and this is the most quiet and peaceful complex we have ever lived in. I've lived in eighteen different apartments in my life and this was the best. I lived in an upstairs one bedroom, which felt very roomy and had very nice appliances, including an excellent washer/dryer set. My current apartment (in a different state) is 50 square feet smaller, but feels half the size. My only criticisms are low water pressure and the windows are thin, so you can sometimes hear people talking on the sidewalk, though that didn't happen often. However, these complaints aren't enough for me to knock a star off. read more

This apartments are the one of the worst places I have ever lived in the USA. After we left the community, they charged us extra because of some countertops that we dis not damaged. They pretend to be nice until you rent the place. After that they show you their real face. They increase the water and sewer charges often. In order for you to leave the complex at the end of your rent period, they increase the rent too much so that you would live and they will get your deposit and also they will not hesitate to charge you extra on little things. They are stealers and have worst manager ever in the town. I strongly not recommend anybody to live in this apartments. read more

I just wanted to update how it was going so far. There has been NO disturbances or any issues of any kind. All the neighbors are friendly and quite. I don't hear my neighbors at all. I believe the walls are really thick which I am thankful of because at my last place I could hear every little move my neighbors made. The office is super friendly and very helpful. The maintenance has been A1! Even when there was a slight issue, the office was very apologetic and got right on to solving the problem. We tried out the pool last weekend and it was relaxing. I also love the little gym because it is there for me when I don't feel like driving to my primary gym. I love it here so much! read more

The police are here at least twice a week, vandals deface cars without office intervention at all, upstairs neighbors are always banging things, stomping, and causing trouble when asked to stop but, again, the office will do nothing about it, but will watch you for any violation for being an inconvenience and leave multiple notices letting you know. I don't like to post negative reviews, usually I just move on but this time I need to speak up. I have to use my voice to denounce companies that cheat people and take money away from families . My family and I lived at this complex for almost 4 years . The only time we complained was when our AC unit wasn't working and we had to pay an outrageous power bill due to the broken AC, at that time we did receive a small credit for the issue. Now, our lease was about to end and we wanted to buy a home. Before making any offers, we went into the office and asked how much it would cost to cancel 2 months before the lease ended. The answer we received was ," there isn't a cancelation fee, we just need to pay for rent and give a 30 days' notice". We were happily surprised, so we gave our notice 2 months ahead of time and agreed to pay through the end of April (lease ends in June). The day we went in to turn the keys in we were told that we owed $1115 for a cancelation fee. So that was a the SURPRISE. If we had been given the correct information when we first inquired about breaking the lease, we wouldn't have broken the lease. We called the district manager, Brenda, and after 4 years of on time payments and no complaints, we were told we had to pay it regardless of what we had been told. End of story we were lied to and no one owned up to the fact that they misinformed us , not Zaida the office girl nor her manager. The district manager couldn't care less. Seems like because we are already moved out there is no reason for them to right this wrong. It's crazy how this company gets away with lying to their tenants and robbing them . The rent keeps increasing, they raise the water charges in the middle of your lease and in the end they will still misbill you without remorse . Well that was our experience and if it happened to us it could happen to you! STAY AWAY IF YOU CAN! read more
