Some shoddy pipe work done by a plumbing company left my kitchen with water intrusion and mold. A mold removal company ended up knocking out the entire exterior wall of my kitchen and parts of my kitchen cabinets. To make matters worst, unexpected rain was forecasted in the middle of the mold removal process, leaving me with just 4 days to build back my kitchen. I had a great experience with Dan previously (bathroom remodel and kitchen cabinet painting), so I called him in a panic. He made time to come out the very next day to give me a quote. Two things I really, really appreciated: 1. His quote was very reasonable. I needed to build back my kitchen cabinets, repair faulty electrical, paint, and install new weep screeds, waterproofing, and exterior stucco. He and his crew did everything with thoroughness and care. 2. He moved his crew around so they could accommodate the tight timeline. Dan's a master at planning, and he guaranteed the work would be done by Friday before the rain on Saturday. Dan checked up on progress throughout and had different contractors out in the appropriate order to meet the timeline. End result? Perfect execution, ahead of schedule, at a very reasonable price. But more than that, Dan is extremely communicative and responsible and takes great pride in his crew's work, always wanting to ensure you're happy with everything. Furthermore, every crew member of his is top notch. They are the nicest and most thorough, hardworking, and respectful team. They take great care in their work and treat your house like their own. TL;DR The job got done, but I don't recommend this company due to poor communication, inconsistent…read moreinformation, and changing the price. They asked for more money than quoted when they arrived, tried to justify it by saying it was more work than went into the quote, then didn't do that extra work (or if they did, could not explain what it was), and got upset when asked to honor the original quote. We originally spoke about gutter clean+repair over text, and Josh said in writing that would be "$250-$600" including clean-out and resecuring with up to 3 brackets. We also talked about adding 1-2 downspouts in a couple problem areas which would be extra, as would more than 3 brackets.  He wouldn't come out to give an in-person review, and instead asked for a video where we walked around the whole house to show the entire gutter length. On the day of the job, they were 3 hours after the scheduled time, though they did let me know in advance they were running late.  Josh was not there despite saying earlier he would be. The person that did show up reviewed the gutters and said it would be $750, before any downspouts. I asked why this was higher than the $250-$600 range I was given and he didn't seem to know about that estimate. He talked to Josh and came back and said the job was "more work than they thought" including that they'd need at least 4 and maybe up to 7 new brackets. They also only brought 1 downspout with them even though we had talked about 2 possible additions, so that would have to be another visit. We decided not to do either downspout and agreed to $700 to just get the clean and repair done with, given the extra brackets we knew would be extra even though that didn't seem like it should be another $100, as the text has also quoted $25 per new bracket and it might only be 1 more than the 3 included. They finished less than an hour later, and as we reviewed the work, we found they only used 3 brackets after all - they said they weren't able to add more in the spots they had wanted to.  They also said things like that they went around the whole house to fix up the nails all over.  When we pointed out a few nails still sticking out they said "oh we didn't do that side." I said then that it should be at most the $600 I was originally quoted, since they didn't seem to do any extra work or brackets to justify and never gave a straight answer for what was "more work than they thought it would be" other than the brackets they didn't end up doing. Josh was upset we were changing the deal from what was agreed, while I was upset that they didn't do the work that they said was what caused the extra charges. I said I'd be leaving a bad review over this experience and Josh said fine to just give $600 if I was going to resort to "threatening" him over it to lower the price I agreed to pay and implying I was stealing from him when they were "just trying to help me out" with the "discount" they already agreed to of $700 down from $750. I end up giving the $700 to get them out of there because he's right that I did agree to pay that, though I still feel it was under false and constantly changing information about what they were actually doing. And Josh was difficult to talk to the whole time, kept saying that I was making up information like the $600 quote when I was literally pointing to a text message he sent about the range of $250-$600. If you do use them, which I don't recommend, I encourage you to get a firm estimate and scope of work in writing in advance so they cannot show up and then try to charge more or do less.

We found Micky's company on Yelp and decided to contact him for our home remodel project in Costa…read moreMesa. We had just bought a fixer-upper and wanted to do a gut remodel. Right from the get go, it was clear that he is an honest person and gave us a lot of confidence that he will be able to handle the project. We had to wait a few months to get the permit approval from the city, and Micky followed up with the permit officers diligently. He had his team ready to jump in with the demo, and started working on the project immediately after we received the permits. The project took a couple of months longer than expected (in part because we asked for some changes, and in part because Micky had underestimated some of the work). But we did not mind the delay as it was clear that Micky's team was doing the work properly and not cutting corners. One piece of advice: Micky gives you accurate timelines for his material options, but if you want other options then you will have to be on top of it yourself to make sure you get it in time. This is understandable, and once we realized it, we were able to better forecast when certain aspects of the project will be completed. Micky is just an amazing human being - kind, thoughtful, and empathetic. The patience paid off. We now live in one of the best houses on the street (which was previously an eye sore). Our sincere gratitude for Micky and his team. We will seek his company out for future projects.
