Still on a high from yesterday's dive!! My gosh was it such an amazing experience. The process of signing up, reminders to fill out the waiver and checking in was so easy. We got there around 11am and by 12:30, we had all landed. Thankfully it wasn't super busy. We were a party of 6 & with 3 of us wanting video + pictures, we had to split into two different planes. That was the ONLY bummer. The training was super easy and all the instructors guided us the entire time from watching the video to landing. It makes it so easy to relax despite the adrenaline building up. The flight up was a little rocky at the beginning but smoothed out after a couple thousand feet. Kristie was the absolute best camera woman and Mofo Jo was such a great diver to be attached to. I couldn't recommend this place more! My friend had told me she had also come here this month so recommending has now become a domino effect. Already planning my next dive with you guys - thank you so much! Noell and Andries are incredible! I had Noell and my partner had Andries. Noell was super informative at all the right times. Explaining while she's putting on the gear, then in the plane, then while near landing. Andries was as chill and relaxed as my partner--it was perfect! Both have been instructing for YEARS and you can tell. It was our first time - we enjoyed every minute. Quick hits: * parking was easy and free. * expect to wait 2-4 hours. We had the 11am slot but due to clouds we were delayed and didn't jump until 1pm. It actually seemed less backed up in the afternoon, it seemed like everyone tried to get there early. * since you'll be waiting around, you might want to bring a light lunch, water etc. * it's a super casual place, people were wearing a range of outfits from jeans and tees to sweatpants to jumpsuits. * the instructional video was intense... but the guy who spoke after made it feel more fun! My husband made a reservation for a tandem skydive 2 months ago, and according to their website was going to pay $30 for being slightly over their weight guidelines. Today he arrived to check in, and was told their weight limit guidelines was recently reduced, and that he wouldn't be allowed to go. He asked why he wasn't informed about the change, and was told "we changed it on our website; you should have looked there." He was given a refund, but the point stands that he was given ZERO notice. Went 8.29.21 with a group of six. The 4 dudes were terrified, whereas my 76-year-old mother and I were excited AF. Staff was great about making you feel at ease and working through safety protocols with you. My gear was checked multiple times. The whole experience was phenomenal! I was V's 899th jump (congrats on that!) and my camera man Tommy was equally amazing. I had the time of my life and would go another 5 times that day! I did my very first jump 5 days ago, and haven't been able to stop thinking about it since. The experience at PNW Skydiving was absolutely incredible. My mom surprised my dad and I with this experience for my 25th birthday and his 49th. The staff and instructors there are all amazing but I have to give a special shoutout to Eric and Yotam. They made this experience the absolute best thing ever. And despite my initial reaction, I will most definitely do this again, hopefully sooner than later. I went to PNW Skydiving for my first jump in October 2023 and my second jump TODAY! Both times were incredible. Each staff member I encountered was professional, and extremely helpful. They were all so excited to talk to us, explain everything, and share advice. My first tandem jump was with Dave and my second jump was with Eric. Both made me feel extremely safe and comfortable. I was definitely freaking out on the inside, but both guys helped me stay calm and reassured me repeatedly. I felt safe and secure attached to them and would highly recommend both guys. They were so kind! I'm pretty sure they only let you work at this place if you're an all-around awesome person. From start to finish, I enjoyed each person who worked at PNW. What an epic experience. The planes fly over my home every 30 minutes. I've lived here for 15 years and it has gotten so bad. I have a family member with ptsd and now he can't even live at his home becuase of these people. Maybe think about the people you are flying over once in a while. read more

So yesterday on sort of an impulse, we decided to go skydiving again. Who can resist the thrill of falling 14,000 feet from a plane right? Let me start by saying, they were super accommodating. Normal we would make reservations for this type of thing, but we were driving by after lunch and we were talking about wanting to pay tribute to a late friend on the anniversary of his death, when we saw a parachute. We figured what a nice way to honor his life by celebrating ours. Even though they were extremely busy, they were so nice to get us in on the last plane of the day, and I will be forever grateful for that. Everyone we met was super nice. The owners, the employees, the other jumpers. Just a really great vibe all around. Chuck and DJ were our instructors. Both were very knowledgeable, and so much fun. We even hung out with them for a little while after our jump just talking about normal life, work, and the process of getting certified to jump on our own. About the jump: We ended up getting the last plane of the day, so we caught the sunset and the moon rising. If you've done this before, I suggest trying an evening dove. It was absolutely breathtaking. We were able to catch 7 Mountain View's. My hood, the 3 sisters, Jefferson, St.helens, and Ranier compared to our last jump where we were only about to see 5. About the price: So we paid about $170 per person which I think is very reasonable considering all the cost that have to go into everything. Paying your instructor, a pilot, fuel, cost of the actual plane, and none of us ever escape the rent. All in all, I'd say it's a great deal. You can't really put a price on this kind of experience in my opinion, because it's a million dollar view. The aftermath: we will cherish this time for the rest of our loves. We got a lovely little jump book to keep track of our future jumps, and we're signed off on by Chuck and DJ, so this jump counts towards us getting certified if we choose to keep going, which I know we will. If you're even remotely thinking that you wanna skydive for your next big adventure, please don't deny yourself of an amazing experience. And if you just so happen to be in Oregon, you should swing by and see the folks at PNW Skydive. I promise you won't be disappointed! read more

My friend/coffee girl Winter is amazing!! We got to talking one day and she said that she likes to jump out of airplanes! I thought that that would be a fantastic birthday present for my boyfriend Conrad. We got a small group together drove out to Mulino Airport/PNW skydiving on a beautiful day this May 5th. The weather couldn't have been more fantastic. When we got there there was a very small tutorial. We paid for the middle of the road video package. Conrad and his five other friends boarded the plane with their tandem skydiving Buddies. Conrad was strapped to a guy named Brandon who was really enthusiastic! His attitude made the jump seem even more fun! We had a videographer named Demi. She did a fantastic job of taking pictures and a video that we will have as a Keepsake forever! The Skydiving was a birthday gift I gave to myself. My instructor Kevin did a great job and the video looks pretty good. Sitting in the flight, I was surprisingly calm, until the door was opened. The wind was cold and strong, pushing my feet into the air. I could hear my heart beating fast, my face must turned green. Lol The freefall was very exciting, especially in the first few seconds when we were literally heading down. Once our speed got stable, Kevin made us spin for a little bit, which was fun. The view in the sky was amazing, we flied for a few minutes before landing on the ground. What can I say, it's amazing. read more

I purchased a gift certificate for a first skydiving lesson for my boyfriend last year and unfortunately did not realize it expires after a year. I booked an appointment and due to last minute doctors appointments, we weren't able to attend. When I scheduled the lesson with the person on the phone, they did not tell me there was a 24-hour cancellation policy but acted very nonchalant about scheduling - that we'd play it by ear and could reschedule depending on the weather. When I cancelled the appointment, I was told my gift certificate would be docked $50 AND in order to extend the gift certificate I paid for, I was told I would have to pay an additional $50. I am currently going through chemo with an aggressive form of leukemia and explained the situation to them - doctors appointment aren't always planned and we've had a hard time scheduling skydiving within the year because my boyfriend has had to support me during aggressive cancer treatment and a bone marrow transplant. I even mentioned I could send them a doctors note from my oncologist to no avail. I realize this is a small business and coming from a family of small business owners, always want to be respectful and understanding but was absolutely blown away by the lack of empathy and callousness shown by this company. I'm glad people have had a good time skydiving but we haven't even been able to use our certificate yet and I'm already very hesitant to use the more than $100-dollar gift certificate I purchased. Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

First time skydiving was a fantastic and truly unforgettable experience! All of the staff at PNW Skydive were very professional and helpful. They made my first time fun and influential. We did the Group Tandem deal. The group deal is for 6 jumpers or more for $169/per person, includes training and all skydiving equipment. Photos and video are an extra charge ($89 per/person). We paid for the photo/video package for a friend as birthday gift. The instructor wears a wrist-mounted GoPro and captures the excitement of your skydive and parachute flight up close and personal! The package gets you pictures on the ground, in the airplane, in freefall, and pictures of you flying the parachute. The video is taken by a separate jumper who jumps just before you do. We enjoyed every second of it from start to finish. They did an amazing job prepping and explaining how the equipment works. They talked us through all of the steps and made us feel 100% comfortable and safe, but they also joked around and helped us to relax and have fun. They joked with us as we climbed in elevation before diving. They took us up 14,500 feet and then one by one we jumped. Don't expect them to do a countdown. Skydiving was by far one of my BEST life experiences, and I would do it again. Jumping out of the plane and free-falling was my favorite part, and the canopy ride down after the chute opened was peaceful and relaxing. And we even stuck the landing! read more

As someone with several uncles who are skydiving instructors, one with more than 9K jumps, it's hard to believe I made it to my mid-thirties without ever skydiving. Regardless, a group of 9 of us just went for a friend's birthday and not only did PNW Skydiving make it an excellent experience, but skydiving is also perhaps the thing I never knew I needed in my life. Bottom line of my long review to follow - if you're considering jumping for the 1st or the 10000th time, I highly recommend these guys. Half of our group signed up the morning of, myself in that category, and PNW was incredibly accommodating in squeezing us all in and finding us tandem instructors last minute. Our big group spread out over several plane rides and the others on the plane were frequent solo jumpers at the DZ who were equally as friendly and welcoming. My instructor Dave Mazik was great - unassuming, personable, knowledgeable, incredibly easy to communicate with both before and during the jump, and completely accommodating to my lame motion sickness which prohibited us from doing the cool freefall tricks and canopy turns that I wished we could have. (Be warned if you also suffer with motion sickness that the sudden changes in acceleration are where you'll feel it the most - exiting the plane and the canopy opening. I've since read that Dramamine and acupressure bands may make this a little more tolerable.) I know others in my group all felt similarly comfortable with their respective instructors. A note on skydiving itself for those who have never done it before (or anyone who wants to kill time reading about my experience) - the feeling of slowly rolling out of the plane and then rapidly accelerating to terminal velocity is UNREAL. Not sure I've ever felt so many and such strong emotions all at the same time and it's definitely the most elated and terrified i've ever been. I partake in rock climbing, backcountry skiing/snowboarding, dirtbiking, etc. and have been in some intense and exhilarating situations before, so I figured my first time skydiving would be similar... not so and it only surpassed anything I'd ever experienced. The feeling of falling incredibly fast while looking at the fields below and Mt. Hood on the horizon, neither of which seem to be changing much in size, is surreal. A minute of freefall like this seems to last forever, which for me was a very welcome time warp. What struck me the most, though, was an intense and beautiful feeling of isolation and simplicity. You're 14K feet up in the air, no one else around, nothing between your body and the rest of the Earth (you've seen this view before on your commercial flights, but that plane wing certainly obscured it), and only yourself and the person you're sharing a harness with to depend on with a super rudimentary tool strapped to your back for survival. It really makes most other things in life seem trivial and stupid and it's refreshing to have that feeling last after you land, especially during a time when our country is otherwise going off the rails. If I sound emotional it's because I am (in the best way), and I will definitely be back. read more

My friends and I did a group tandem jump this past weekend. We called before booking to get all the details to sign up as a group, including how many people we would need to get the group discount. On the phone, they told us we needed a minimum of 6 people. We asked if we could all jump together and they said yes and followed up by saying that up to 10 tandems can go in the plane together. We made sure that we could have between 6-10 jumpers to get the discount and jump together which they confirmed over the phone. Our group consisted of 8 individuals when we booked (6/29) and a 9th one added later on (7/5). We again called before adding the 9th jumper and was told by 2 different staff members that he could jump with the entire group and the discount would be applied to his jump as well. When we arrived (7/11), the staff told us that the group discount only applied when 10 jumpers signed up. They changed their policy and did not honor that at the time of signing up, the policy applied for a minimum of 6 jumpers in the group. Because of this recent change, they charged our group the full amount. The staff in the lobby were rude when we questioned this change and showed confusion regarding the price. Very disappointing. After that letdown, the staff informed us that they were going to split up our group into 2 separate planes. This too does not match what 3 staff members told us on the phone on different occasions. Their reasoning was that there was "no room" on the plane. However, both groups had multiple single jumpers that occupied space. It is clear this company gives priority to single jumpers who get to jump multiple times a day opposed to those who are doing tandem jumps. Another big disappointment. As a group, we would appreciate more honesty and transparency with the staff who handle the booking and reservations. With all that said, the staff you jump with are awesome! They make the experience SO much fun and bring lots of fun energy to the day. If I was to base this review on these guys alone and how awesome the experience was, it would definitely be 5 stars. They made me feel comfortable as a first time jumper- even when I was freaking out the entire plane ride up!! read more

My Grandpa decided for his 90th birthday he wanted to go skydiving! So I went online and started browsing reviews and found pacific nw skydiving... I emailed them to see if they could accommodate him at his spry young age and they quickly wrote back and reassured me that it would be their pleasure! So we booked the trip, the waivers are available online so we could do them ahead of time and check in was a breeze! We paid for him to have a video made of his jump, they explained everything very carefully and he felt very confident! His tandem instructor was Tim Tolbert and he was amazing!!!! He was so careful and kind that grandpa never felt anxious! I had Herbie Smith and he was also outstanding! Everyone there was super professional and kind, we had an amazing day and grandpa said he would go again anytime! Awful experience - especially bad for first time divers. We went on a day that started off partly cloudy, but after the delay in waiting for more people to arrive, the rain came in. During the 4 hours they make you wait before you can reschedule, the Diver/Instructors were all waiting in the trailer with us but they had put on Skydiving Fail videos on YouTube without checking with the guests! They paid no attention to the nervous first time divers and kept yelling at the tv things like "Oh!! That f***ing hurts!" And "oh s**t! That's crazy!". Absolutely horrendous for helping new divers feel comfortable. When they finally let us reschedule, we did. As our new, second appointment came closer, we noticed the rain in the forecast and decided to cancel and just reschedule later on. When my friend cancelled the reservation, they only cancelled for 2 of the 3 divers. When I reached out for my refund, they said that mine didn't get cancelled and that they'd keep the $50 deposit because it was too close to the jump. Even though all 3 should have been cancelled as we were on the same reservation. If you want to dive with a what can only be described as a teenage kid who watches YouTube fails of the exact thing you're about to do, doesn't even pay you any attention or make you feel safe, and doesn't seem to have good record keeping and keeps your deposit. This hole in the wall is right for you. However, they've kept my $50 and lost 3 divers to another company. read more

I went skydiving one day. Actually I went three days but the first two days' weather proved to be most uncooperative. Undaunted, I persisted and returned a few days later to attempt again. Skydiving is something I've always wanted to do. Not a fear to conquer. An excitement to be had. Something I imagined would make me feel fleetingly more alive. So, yes please. The first thing they make you do is sign 1000 pages of waivers which state that if some tragedy should befall you, neither you nor yours will hold them liable. Having signed my life away, I was then ushered onto a comfy cozy couch to watch a 30 minute video which restated in every terminology possible, the same things the waivers did. If I die, I can't sue you. I got it. This served to amuse me, certainly neither to deter nor frighten me. It possibly evoked some impatience in me, since I really just wanted to get in that plane and jump out of it already. By the time day three arrived, staff and I were family, they gave me a free lunch and I told them that they had to ensure I was the first one to jump. It happened to be an "event" weekend Sunday... The other days it was me, my friend and the staff. This day the entire lower quarter population of Oregon was present. No. Scratch that. This day the toughest, tattooed up the wazoo, can't fully hang their arms down at their side because they've built their bodies too big boys quarter of the population of Oregon was present. And all taking this very seriously. Commiserating on the thrill, on the addiction of the thrill. Alright, I'm in! Sign me up! At long last, my time came. I saddled up (kind of literally, since you're kind of sitting on your tandem partner's lap) and was raring to go. Not one single moment of a minute amount of apprehension. I kept waiting for it. I kept HOPING for it. I thought, once I'm in the plane, but, No. I thought, once the plane door opens, but, No. I thought, once I'm hanging off the edge and my jump is imminent. Still, ...No. I jumped. It hurt my ears. Like, a lot. It didn't feel like falling at all, or even floating... it kind of felt like... nothing. Nothing. I collected myself after the uneventful landing (no death to report) and reconvened with the assembly of bad ass boys to have them assault little me with their inquiring minds, questions of, "Was this your first time?!" "So?!" "Was that the most incredible thrill you've ever experienced?!" "Was it better than sex?!" "Are you going to come back?!" Always an exclamation in their tone. "First time? Yes. Thrill? Umm... noooo??? Sorry?? (I'm originally Canadian. We say sorry.) Come back? Maybe, if my friend wants to... My ears hurt." Stupefied, they looked on..... "Was it at least better than with the wrong person?(!)" The most poignant question posed. "Ha! Yes. YES." And not because this was good(!). Have I mentioned my ears hurt? 5 stars because of my free lunch. (No, really, I Absolutely love these guys. Go for the people alone! Go for the lunch even. Go get your thrill, thrills, multiple, have one for me, because I'm evidently entirely incapable of feeling anything whatsoever. It's concerning. Then again, my ears still hurt, so...?!) read more

I reserved a time and showed up early, by noon. I didn't jump until 5, 4 hours late, and leave until 6. It turns out that some people just showed up that day and jumped before me because they knew people who worked there. They're a fun group but their scheduling isn't fair. I had people with me and we had a picnic but we didn't plan a 5 hour picnic. The communication with customers during the day about scheduling and why they're running behind was really bad. I think the reason is because they will simply bump you, even though you had a reservation, so people they know can jump first. The skydive was awesome and the instructors are great but they make you wait. read more

AWESOME! Everyone is so friendly and professional, they make you feel completely comfortable and are really open about what to expect and listen to you about what you want in your skydive. Dave, the owner, has been doing this for 25 years and is a total pro. Even if you're nervous, they walk you through and their confidence and enthusiasm rubs off.
