Pacific Seafood is always clean and filled with the most amazing fish. The variety is often great, we can find our favorites such as Goat Mullet, Parrot Fish and during December fresh Smelt. We have been going to the market for 20 years, it used to be in a different location, however it burned down and it took a bit of time for the new store to open. The crew cleans your fish to your specifications and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. They will even call you if your are waiting for a particular fish to come in stock. I ate my absolutely sweet fresh and light Parrot fish before I thought to take a photo. Update, I went back the next day for more fish and got some photos. read more

This spot is a solid fish market with a joyful, welcoming staff. It's in a convenient location, right off route 10 on Reservoir Avenue. Easy entrance, easy parking, & easy exit. I got a just about a pound of salmon for $14 that baked wonderfully. The employee behind the counter eyeballed a pound nearly perfectly. They have a lot of other product, both fresh & frozen. From my experience few years ago, I had went to get rock crabs for Asian curry crab stirfry. The crab were pretty good sized but when you pull them apart the body was very small compared to what was seen when the shell was attached. They have all kinds of seafood variety here like clams, lobsters, crabs and even frozen bags. Definitely a staple Asian seafood store. Customer service was friendly and quick. Store is kept very clean and everything looked fresh. They even offer many Asian and Hispanic spices and side offerings to pair with seafood. Some of the things that stood out was Badia, Goya and Sauzon seasonings. Even boxed Spanish yellow rice and Asian spicy Mayo. There were even hi chews and miso soups packets if my memory serves me right. I saw Hispano plantain chips and takis as well. read more

I highly recommend this market to friend and family .. but over the years I have bought a multitude of putrid products and seafood that was just not good. I'm not sure why most of it isn't frozen before going bad or placed on sale but it isn't. Generally the seafood is great! But I get highly disappointed when it's not cause we all know seafood is very expensive. I've bought squid, frozen assorted mix of seafood and scallops that have been putrid, mushy and swore I would never go back. But I have lol ...what they do well here is the king crab, frozen mussels, crawfish and clam. Most of the shellfish is good! For any fresh produce ask to smell the freshness of the seafood before buying and please get live crab that's kicking (and make sure it's moving!). I've not bought fish at this market but always check the eyes to assure freshness. Another tip is to watch for condensation on the seafood for frozen stuff .. which means that it has melted and been frozen again. Anywho this place gets a 50/50 score because of that .. read more

Stone crabs great price and very good size. This was my first time there and I can say every single employee I encountered was so pleasant, helpful and polite. This was by far the best experience I have ever had. The establishment was super clean inside and out it was a wonderful experience and a lot of variety. read more

Well stocked market that pretty much has EVERYthing and a lot of it. My only complaint is the place is freezing cold. When I went into the market - I hear other people complaining that "you need a down jacket to shop in here." I'm not saying it was just cold - I am saying it is FREEZING in there. Without exaggeration, my tips of my fingers were numb. I was very uncomfortable. I would not be writing this review if it did not bother me. A brand new (at least, since the fire several years ago) fish monger next to the newly re-opened Sunny Market. Clean, bright store with a very welcoming staff. I just love me a good fish market, especially when there's a large variety, snapping freshness, both whole fish and fillets, and shellfish of both sessile and mobile types. To be sure, there is competition in the area for whole fish like V-Mart and Good Fortune, but Pacific Seafood does distinguish themselves from the other two by offering different seafood types not carried by the others. For example, Pacific had live Dungeness crab, swordfish, tuna, and halibut steaks which you don't see very often (or never see) at V-Mart or Good Fortune. Good prices on these as well - the halibut was priced at 13.99 $/lb vs. typically 18.99 at Dave's. Pacific also carries fresh fish both whole and filleted - and if buying whole, no worries, the staff will happily clean them to your specifications! On this visit, I bought a half-dozen of very fresh squid and made a terrific appetizer of grilled calamari drizzled with olive oil, lemon juice, and parsley for dinner. read more

You get what you pay for. Fish here is generally 30-40% cheaper than what you'd find at Whole Foods, but I have to say that the four or five times I've come here, the fish have been a tad less than fresh. I've tried the whole red snapper and striped bass, and I've noticed that the eyes are a little cloudy, and they give off that odor that really fresh fish don't give. You can taste it, too. It's not terrible, but definitely noticeable. I haven't had any of the other offerings here like the crab, shrimp or some of their frozen stuff. read more

It's a nice shop with lots of fresh fish, including live tilapia and catfish in tanks, and rare specialties like razor clams. The owner is exceptionally cordial. Generally fresh fishes such as striped bass, flounder, scup, seabass, salmon and they also have many type of live fishes. Crabs and lobsters are at a good price and are fresh. Clams and quahogs are at a good price. One of a few places that sells Maryland blue crabs. read more

I went there to get lobster to make dinner for my girlfriend for her birthday. I wanted to really pig out so I bought $60 worth of frozen lobster tail. When I got them defrosted, one of them looked like it was rotten. That one went straight into the trash. After I got done cooking them, I found another rotten looking one, and the rest had absolutely no flavor - I mean, they tasted like some kind of nasty cheap shrimp. They were tough and crunchy - biting into the lobster didn't sound any different then biting into the corn on the cob. We each forced ourselves to eat about half a tail, and I worried whether I was going to get sick. The place stunk to high heaven, which should have been a tell, but it was the only place I could get reasonably priced lobster tails at that hour. Go to captains catch in N. Providence on Mineral Spring at Douglas - their frozen tails were great. read more

I love this place - great selection of lobster, crab, fish, and shellfish at prices well below the supermarket. The lobsters were feisty and the supply plentiful- no having to settle for the last in the tank. It's next door to an Asian market so you can stock up on fresh veggies and herbs for a complete meal. read more

Now this is a real Fish market. Great selection and fish cut to order. I go here to get my steamers all summer long. Sometimes it is so busy it's hard to move around, but the prices are very good. The owners are extremely nice too. read more
