This place was a Gem. I was overwhelmed with the selection of live shell fish I grabbed 6 lobsters the rest Of their blue crab some baby octopus and a few oysters, they were very helpful and friendly making jokes. Very happy with my purchase I filled my cooler up and grabbed an Uber to the train about 5 hours later I made in to Queens and unboxed every one was still Alive!

The Providence location has a market as well with chips, sodas, spices, and frozen items for purchase. You can also buy fresh seafood like crabs or fish in the market. They have several menu items. I always get the half chicken with fries. It's topped with a delicious hot sauce, garlic, cilantro, and banana peppers. The chicken is flavorful and juicy. There is nothing like it around! The fries are seasoned perfectly. I tried the fried tilapia fish for the first time tonight and it was perfectly cooked and came with a white sauce, cabbage, cilantro, and banana peppers but the chicken is still my favorite. They did a great job on the renovation in Providence and the place looks brand new. You can tell the layout was thoughtfully designed. A great family fun restaurant. Love seeing the business grow!

We parked really close nearby and risked it not paying for parking... Part of our brunch we were a little bit on edge, "Are we going to get ticketed? At least we can see the car from here." This place is easy to find parking nearby, though. You don't have to park where there's a meter. Customer service was really good and friendly! It was really nice to sit outside. However, maybe the pavement can be cleaned. The bricks were a bit dirty. We found the menu a little confusing. Everything on the Puffcake menu comes with Puffcakes. Each menu item comes with two Puffcakes which isn't written on the menu. The menu would have benefitted from having pictures for each section.. However, our server was really good at clarifying what the menu items are. We ordered the original and the ultimate breakfast. I really enjoy how puffy the pancakes are! They are sweet, but not too sweet for pancakes. I didn't use much of the maple syrup. The hash browns were really yummy. The bacon and sausage are just bacon and sausage. I wanted to compare the puffcakes to regular pancakes and they are very similar, just the puffcakes are fluffier. If I come back, I would order one of the more different/unique flavors because the price is a bit much for something to be quite similar to regular pancakes. I enjoy the drink of my coconut water with foam on top and edible butterfly. I believe my husband got a coffee latte drink which tasted a lot like Vietnamese coffee (which is a good thing for us). Overall, it is a fun experience to eat something offered no where else. I like pancakes, and I do think these puffcakes are better than pancakes.

It blew the puffcakes out of the water. They should consider a name change! Unfortunately, the service didn't live up to the food. We waited 15 minutes for a server, another 20 for our lattes, and nearly an hour after ordering for our food. Our server even came over with the check because she thought we had already eaten and our table cleared but was shocked to learn our food hadn't even arrived yet. The outdoor seating could also use some updating, with awkwardly placed table legs that didn't lend to a four top and peeling tabletops. Overall, I'm glad I tried this viral spot, but I don't think the food was worth the long wait.

We stopped in at 5 yesterday and were worried the restaurant would be busy, but we were sat immediately. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with lots of nautical themes. Our waitress was lovely and explained the menu to us in detail. As it was our first time at a seafood boil she was very patient with all our questions. Ultimately I had the 2lb boil with 1lb of mussels, 1/2lb of shrimp, and 1/2lb of clams in the captain Loui sauce with a side of garlic noodles. Our waitress came back quickly with a bib, gloves, and a bucket for shells. Not long after our meals came out and let me tell you everything was excellent! The seafood was cooked perfectly, plenty of sauce, and even the corn and potato were out of this world. I ordered the sauce medium and it definitely had a nice kick to it. The garlic noodles had great flavor, a little clumpy but with a little of that captain Loui sauce added on top it fixed the problem. It's not cheap but for a once in a while special occasion treat I can not recommend this place enough!

But maybe we should have been tipped off by the emptiness of the restaurant compared to every other on a weekend (got last minute reservations). We started with the lobster acting like escargot and the organic chicken nuggets and caviar. The lobster was tasty but those tiny morsels basically amounted to $5 per grape-sized bite (at $30 for the dish). The included biscuits were dry and unappetizing. Take two. Nuggets and caviar. Rare to have caviar on a menu so we decided to try it. We figured the "chicken nuggets" might be euphemistic for something more extravagant. Hmm. Not so much. Literally chicken nuggets reminiscent of Raising Cane's with a dollop of crème fraiche and a tiny teaspoon of caviar (for $40). Did I mention tiny? To the point of barely tasting anything. The food wasn't bad - just ridiculously overpriced for the little you got. Not recommended. Following a little bit of a disappointing app service, we moved on the entrees. We hoped for a turnaround. We had ordered the scallops, tuna, sole and lobster mac and cheese for 4 of us. The sole was nicely fried on a bed of succotash. (Though it wasn't clear to me I was getting a dish that looked like fried catfish). The plate was huge and overall very good. On the flip side, the tuna was tiny and my son was still hungry afterward. Portions seemed rather disproportionate with each dish. My wife complained the scallops were smaller than expected - especially at this price point. And lastly the lobster mac was beautifully presented in a lobster shell but flavor-wise was nothing to write home about. We don't take any left over home. We skipped dessert after the mediocre showing (and paying the fat bill). I had mixed feelings about writing this review. All the food was decent, but IMHO ridiculously overpriced. Indeed, at half the price, I would have been reasonably satisfied. I realize people need to make a living, but I can only say that I left disappointed. We won't be back. Honestly, I wasn't gonna write this review. No one likes having negative feedback. I don't really enjoy giving it and writing all this is work. However, we're currently out of town and had two amazing meals thus far. And the family couldn't help commenting that both meals were together were cheaper than the disappointment at TP Seafood. Even the RI Monthly review seemed to comment on the same. Next time, we will walk right by and head to dinner at Gracie's instead (on the same block). Maybe the location is jinxed? RIP Res - which I actually enjoyed.
