I called Pacific Stone for an estimate, since they were a Home Depot approved installer. I chose a slab of quartzite for my kitchen remodel. Pacific Stone came to my house, did a measure, sent me a contract, but still no one would tell me the cost of the materials. When I got a second estimate, I discovered that Pacific Stone was Doubling the cost of my materials, plus charging me for the installation. When I questioned one particular line item, the sales guy Jake said, "oh that's a mistake from our previous estimate" and he divided that number in half. I think they were just trying to see what they could get away with upcharging me. When I went with the cheaper option, mysteriously my slab was sold to someone else. I had put a tag on it, so how does that happen? The Pacific Stone people were arrogant, expensive, and not transparent about their charges. And why did my materials disappear when I said I was choosing a different installer? Proceed with caution. read more

Do not work with this business. Connected to Pacific Stone through Home Depot. The project was to replace the granite in my master bathroom. After selecting the granite they suggested sinks which they sell and I agreed. Now the BOTH sinks are rusting. Ceramic sinks shouldn't rust. I had three plumbers (One was a Home Depot contractor) check out the sinks because of the odor and they all informed me that sink was poorly manufactured. They let me know that a rusted sink needs to be replace there is no way of repairing. I visited my local Home Depot 20 + and talked with various managers who gave me the run around. Eventually I talked with 3 different people at Pacific Stone (Ashley, Jason, Dolores) and they gave me the run around especially (Ashley Gallegos). She is very disrespectful. All I asked was for the sinks to be replaced. They wouldn't help and kept stonewalling. Be aware of there products/service. Take the time and research the contractors for your home project. I thought if they were partners with Home Depot they were good but I was wrong. Once the payment is made they will ignore and disrespect. read more

In short, I would not recommend Pacific Stone. And here's why: Like many others, we found Pacific Stone through Homedepot, as they are HD's countertop subcontractor. The referral process from HD was easy. We were contacted by a Pacific Stone sales person the day we signed with HD. After we decided on the type of countertop and details, we were given a quote and after we confirmed our selection and the quote, we were charged the entire amount up front. The nightmares started after we signed and paid Pacific Stone... We were very accommodating to their office/ worker's schedule so I am not even going to talk about how they offered us limited dates (i.e. we can come on X date, or you'd have to wait for a month) to do the work. The problems we had were really about their inconsistencies, poor internal communications, and questionable integrity. For example: - We were told when we signed the contract (and once during the process) that adding steel support would be a Y amount. However, when we decided to add steel support, we were asked to pay a higher amount. After I told them 'hey that's not what your colleague told us before," they then changed the number back to the lower amount we were given before. - They told us that the demo would be half demo but it turned out to be a full demo so we had no kitchen for almost a month. After we did the demo, they also wanted to charge us additional labor for something that was not mentioned before. At that point, we eagerly needed our kitchen back so had to just agree to whatever they asked for. - There was something that we were charged for in the beginning but never got. They never brought up that they overcharged us and only refunded us after we noticed it and asked for the refund multiple times. So many other problems continued throughout the process, including that one of their workers damaged our stuff and lie about it. I have to agree with another reviewer that YOU MUST BE PROACTIVE. Overall, we were fine with the outcome of the countertop. However, the entire process was so stressful that it's not worth it. I wished I checked reviews first and didn't overlook the bad reviews. I am glad that there are people who had a pleasant experience, but I really don't know how many brain cells I killed during the months that I dealt with Pacific stone LOL. Never again! read more

First off, I am finally catching up on several of my reviews that are long overdue (4 to 5 months to be exact) due to health issues.  I am finally able to get back on track to review several of my contractors who have done a wonderful job. Pacific Stone design Center (aka Prestige design Center) is one of them. Pacific Stone Design was the contractor that my kitchen remodeler has been using for the countertop part of their projects. Their design team contacted me back in October 2021 to start working on a rendering of my countertop. Since I had selected a Cambria quartz counter with veins, I requested multiple renderings to make sure that the seams would be pleasing. I worked mostly with Irlanda who was very pleasant and patient with me. The rendering team included other staff members who were equally patient and professional. This particular countertop was estimated to be on backorder for a couple of months by the manufacturer due to covid (outside of this installer's control obviously) but the delay ended up being less than that, which was a nice surprise. In November 2021, George and Jose came over to install my beautiful countertop. Roland came by to help them carry the slabs in my kitchen, but most of the installation work was done by George and Jose. They were wonderful in making sure not to damage my brand new cabinets and keeping my home clean and undamaged. They worked actually pretty fast and efficiently. They also installed my beautiful new Blanco sink and did a great job there as well. I was nervous about having these heavy slabs (especially the peninsula) carried through my garage and into the kitchen. But George and Jose relieved me of all the anxiety when I saw them work on site. They clearly knew what they were doing and were very careful. Frankly, the pictures speak for themselves. I absolutely LOVE my countertop. Fred, their manager contacted me a couple of times after the installation was done, to make sure that everything was fine with my countertop, and stated that if I had any question or concern, to contact him directly. That was great customer service! This is a company with a great team of people working there, who not only take pride in their work, but also care about their customers. We somewhat involuntarily found ourselves in the market for a new kitchen countertop because our previously existing one rather unfortunately had a large and growing crack along the front of our kitchen sink. We figured we'd also update the powder room and upstairs bathroom counters too while we were at it. When I asked project coordinator Maria about how frequently they get it right the first time, she told me about 90%. I have no idea how accurate that number is, but I guess we were among the unlucky 10%. Fortunately these issues didn't delay the return of a functional kitchen sink or our two affected bathroom sinks (it was a long two and a half weeks with two toddlers). One of them is scheduled to extend our time without a stove to a total of 4.5 weeks. The good: We got the Home Depot exclusive stone color we wanted in the kitchen. These guys and gal actually responded to communication unlike the referral from a friend who'd disappear for like 10 days at a time and never gave us an actual quote ("tell me you don't want the job without telling me you don't want the job"). The powder room and upstairs bathroom counter installations went uneventfully save for a small nick in the drywall in the powder room. They covered the floor when they worked in the kitchen. Installation happened within the time estimate provided by the templater. The bad: 1. This is more of a Home Depot issue I think, but I was super annoyed before really even starting the process. The payment processed on my credit card but the Home Depot system didn't recognize the payment and I needed to get on the schedule immediately because we're traveling soon. No one anywhere could figure out how to get Home Depot to release the pending charge on my credit card that just sat there eating up $16k of available credit on my card for over a week. 2. Even more annoying, the cooktop cutout was too small and our stove wouldn't fit (see pic). This is despite our having had the cooktop present and available at the template appointment, my handing the templater a hard copy of the cutout requirements with the relevant size highlighted, and his having taken down the make and model of the cooktop. We'd been without a stove for three weeks when we discovered this. Salesperson Jacob said that their installers would set the stove in place but not connect it, which with we were fine. Had that happened, they could have addressed it at installation. The installers didn't finish till after 7pm and didn't attempt to set the stove. We were busy with our toddlers' bedtime. At any rate of course we discovered this Friday night (so didn't hear back from anyone for days because of the weekend). We're looking at 4.5 weeks total without a stove because of this very avoidable fuck up. 3. One of our backsplash outlet cutouts is excessively large. This was just careless (and irreversible - see pic). 4. While we acknowledge that we signed off on the template, it just didn't even occur to us that they would not include (short) backsplash where it had clearly been before. I have no idea why the people who put the last countertop in chose to put short backsplash along the cabinet panels, but they did and I just can't imagine why the templater thought we'd want to leave them looking like this (see pics). 5. The window area behind our kitchen sink had a weird step up, so in order to bring rest of the countertop up to that level, we had to use build up plywood. Multiple people advised us that it would be visible and that we'd need to cover it up with trim, so knowing that we'd have to do that it would have been nice if the installers had paid a little more attention to making sure that the exposed edges of the plywood lay straight against the cabinet (they didn't - see pic looking up at it). 6. Residual damage - yes, we signed away acknowledging that we are aware of the risk of and responsible for damage during installation, but it would have been nice if they at least told us about things so that we would know we'd have to do something about them instead of letting us just discover them. 7. They left the front door open all day, letting bugs into the house, and though they cut the stone outside, lots of fumes and dust blew in. As my husband said, "People who make these mistakes don't make them just once." I get that they don't have to work for all the business that Home Depot sends their way and they only have to do a "good enough" job to maintain that relationship. My husband was very hesitant to have anything to do with Home Depot, but hey, at least they responded (low bar)? Perhaps over time our disappointment with this experience will fade? Probably not. I hope that this countertop lasts us a long time. But like many things that people don't purchase very frequently, there are a lot of things we didn't know about this process and we would have appreciated better guidance from Pacific Stone. read more

My wife and I were trying to get our bathroom remodel completed prior to us having our upcoming Halloween party. Pacific Stone was the contractor used when we ordered our Home Depot exclusive Stonemark countertop in Sea Ice. The countertop fabrication was on schedule along with the installation, which was 7-10 days from the time of the final template measurement. I believe it was Roland who came out to do the measurements and Armando who did the installation with another worker. There was an issue that occurred during installation that would have seriously set back our timeline for completion. However, the Pacific Stone team worked hard to get the issue resolved the same day which was really awesome. I honestly don't think the countertop could have come out better. The installation and measurements came out flawless. The whole team at Pacific Stone was really great. read more

We had a very good experience with Pacific Stone through Home Depot. We had 44 square feet of Corion installed and paid around $47-$50 a square ft., which is around $2,000 material and install! Nobody could beat that price for a small Condominium. Most wanted $2,000 just for the slab and then another $40 per sq ft for installation. Manuel and Arturo did a great job and completed install of a prefabricated counter in a few hours. Good clean up. I would recommend Pacific Stone to everyone. read more

Do not waste your time and money with these people even if your project is subcontracted through Home Depot. It's been more than 2 months since I started my kitchen counter project with them and I still don't have an installation date and have not seen the stone that they claim to have ordered. Scheduling and communicating with them is extremely difficult. They kept trying to schedule when I specifically told them I had work and would not be home to let the contractors in. They also wanted to charge an additional $500 to disconnect and move my appliances out of the way. When I expressed my surprise that this service wasn't included in the original cost, and wasn't communicated to me from the beginning, Irlanda said "well we can leave the appliances where they are and try to be careful, but no guarantees that we won't damage them". After that statement, it became very clear to me that they are extremely inconsiderate of my time and money. All these things combined lead me to cancel my project with them. read more

I think the full install for my small kitchen was only 2.5 hours but everything was meticulously done and left it all nice and clean. Also important to note I placed my order through Home Depot. If you are doing the same I recommend calling to follow up once you place your order to schedule the template appointment. I'd be wary of some of these bad reviews. I was connected to this company through Home Depot to replace my countertops and backsplash. I am ultimately happy with the way that they look, but getting through this process was very, very rough. The scheduling and communication were very lacking and it felt like pulling teeth just to keep the project going. I would say that I ultimately acted as my own project manager. The installers that came in for both the countertop and the tile backsplash did a good job, but that simply doesn't make up for the mismanagement of production, scheduling and other basic communication. I spent hours of my time handling what should have been a super simple process - I have plenty of professional experience in project management so I know for a fact that this should have been quick and simple. In the end we were left with some damage to our wall that was supposed to be repaired according to our initial agreement..... literally nobody has called me about getting this done; apparently it has fallen through the cracks. It was easier to just DIY the wall repair than to deal with another round of phone calls and scheduling with this disorganized company. Luckily after all that time and effort on our part, our kitchen does look great! read more

Just recently finished up the whole project, the end result was as desired. They were always quick to keep in touch with me, the process went really quick, the only delays were me and the advance work that needed to be done, demo, prepping the cabinets, etc. and raising a red flag to measurements that needed to be corrected. Communication is great, there are clearly separate departments that you will work with and each may not have all the information. So be patient and just ask. All my emails and calls were responded to that day or within 24 hours. Each phase is only a day or two. But do not feel rushed, whenever I needed time, a pause to review, think .. they were accommodating. Triple check everything. They are very patient and accommodating so ask, ask, ask. Had I not, there would have been unavoidable errors. Measure three times and cut once!! I was very hands on during the whole process, there are negative comments about this, but that persistence paid off and a relationship was developed and stronger as a result. Shout outs to Amor, JR, Dolores and several I am defiantly forgetting. Each one was special in their own way for the area they were interacting with me on. Amor even showed up installation night and was there for the process. The installation crew was great and very friendly, polite and great spirits!! PSA - After reading some past reviews. People!! There are going to be glitches, small set backs, NO HOME IMPROVEMENT project goes perfectly, smoothly, etc. SO if you live in a dreamland and then get all upset??? Mine had some "glitches", some from my causing, some from the area of application, some from PSD. This is where being involved, patients, and communication paid off!! Everything was ultimately dealt with correctly and perfectly. I would highly recommend PSD and look forward to working with them soon on my bathroom project. read more

Pacific Stone Construction installed our kitchen counter top in 2018, we have been very happy with our counter top, recently we decided to change our bathroom vanities counter top so we went back to them, we had a problem, we didn't want the same color quartz in both bathrooms and we didn't want to pay for 2 whole slabs for 2 small vanities, our salesperson Fred was very helpful, showed us what they had in stock that we could use and just pay for the piece instead of paying for a whole slab, obviously that saved us a lot of money, We have been very happy with Pacific Stone Construction and recommend them to all of our friends. read more

It wasn't a very positive experience, overall. Before I give any critical feedback, I do want to start by saying the positives. That is, we do love the final end-product and pacific stone did do a good job with final install. The guys they sent were on time. Also, when it was communicated that something is not going correct, the company's management (JR) was quick to respond and ready to make changes to satisfy an unhappy customer (me). I appreciated that! Frankly the positives are why I am giving this company "two stars." Now let's talk about areas for improvement - extremely poor communication from the sales and scheduling side. This reflects poorly on Home Depot as well, not just on Pacific Stone. Realize that when customers sign up to change countertops through Home Depot, they are trusting that a reputable Home Solutions business will contract out business to subcontractors (pacific stone) who will deliver top quality and customer service. However, our experience with Pacific Stone was NOT exemplary right from the sales guy (Jason) to the template engineer (Shawn) to the project scheduler (Erlanda). We were told that countertops would be installed on one date, then later it was shared that material is delayed and can not be installed two weeks from promised date. Thankfully they resurrected that mistake. After several rounds of calls, we had a fabrication engineer come over to measure. Unbeknownst to us, he took the wrong measurements! So when the final install happened, it was not what we asked for due to wrong measurements taken. So we had to wait another week for the new/correct stone. Throughout this whole process, what was most frustrating was how un-aligned all these guys were - from the scheduler department to template guys to fabrication engineer. The one person who always made things right for us was JR Taber (General Manager) - he made sure things were not falling through the cracks and are done timely. Pacific Stone was the contractor that I was "assigned" to deal with after ordering from Home Depot. I just don't feel like this company is very detail oriented. I ordered a material from Home Depot called Frosty white Mirage and they installed something completely different called Arctic white by mistake. When I called their offices to tell them that they procured the wrong materials, they argued with me saying that no they did install frosty white, which was on their invoice. They just forgot to grab the material that is frosty white "Mirage"... Sorry, but that's a total lie. There is no color called just Frosty white. Only arctic white. So they're trying to make me as the consumer believe that. So the poor company who had to install the materials had to come back twice and rip out the old materials. I understand that companies make a mistake, but don't get on the phone with me and tell me that you installed a color that doesn't even exist. read more

Do not give your hard earned money to this shady business!!! I was about to give Jesus a credit card number for them to do an install of kitchen countertops when suddenly he raised the price by almost $600.00. Said there was a plumbing charge to reconnect my sink. This was never discussed when we made the deal and he sent over an invoice minus this extra charge. I am so glad I didn't give him my credit card information because I asked who his manager is. He told me J. R. I called their store and asked for him, they said he was in a meeting and would call me back. This was 6 days ago. They obviously realized I wasn't going to fall for their scam, so they never called back. The referral for this company came from Home Depot. Yeah, Home Depot. I cannot believe they would refer such a shady business to their potential customers. I never checked out their yelp reviews because I thought they were on the up and up coming from Home Depot. I initially gave Pacific Stone two stars because we were happy with the end result despite the process being a nightmare. However, now we are about 5 months after the project and we are starting to see cracks in our backsplash tiles. The project coordinator initially told me that installing a backsplash takes two days. She explained that the contractors will arrive on the first day to lay the tile, and then they will come the following day to apply the grout because the tile requires ample time to dry. However, the contractors arrived and did both in one day. I did a lot of research online, and everything I read stated that the tile requires at least 24 hours to dry before laying the grout. When I addressed this with the contractor at the time, he said "no it's fine, we gave it a couple hours to dry." Assuming he is the expert, I didn't say anything. Now I I see how wrong that contractor was. I said it in my initial review and I will say it again, do NOT go with Pacific Stone Design Center. You will end up spending more money than you planned, the entire project along the way will be a headache, and the end result will not be what you had hoped. read more

My wife wanted to replace our granite counter tops with quartz. Pacific Stone Design Center carried the entire line of Cambria quartz. I called up Fred, provided him my rough measurements and requested our subway tile back splash be preserved (this would save us a $1000 alone). Fred was able to quote me within several hours, which included our request to save the back splash. In all fairness, he warned that some tiles may get damaged, but they will try their best. Fred was very patient and explained the process in detail and what to expect. Having shopped around, we felt very comfortable with Fred. He invited us down to the showroom for a tour. The big draw is that this is a one stop shop. They sell the material, demo, fabricate, and install. In addition, the price was very competitive so we decided to go with PSDC. This company was a dream come true! The demo process was amazing. They warned us again of possible damage, but ended up salvaging our entire back splash. Next, a gentleman was scheduled for the template. He took several hours and brought impressive tools to complete the template. Finally, the installers arrived within the time frame PSDC stated (7-10 days). They warned us again that they may damage our tiles installing the new counter top. Then they went to work. They took their time and care during the entire process. I was a big doubter, but they ended up installing and salvaging our entire back splash! From sales, receptionist, demo crew, and installers it was an absolute pleasure working with this business. I would highly recommend Pacific Stone Design Center! A+++ read more

This company was contracted through Home Depot to measure and install my counter tops for a complete kitchen remodel. Not only did they measure and cut my counter tops wrong once but twice leaving me without a kitchen for 6 additional weeks. I called the project manager, asked for the general manager who was in a meeting l, left the office....he will call you like never to address the mistakes they made over and over. My counter tops are not installed on a slant! But they are fed their business through Home Depot so why would they need to perform their jobs to return a call? Never again! read more

I had a great smooth experience with this company via Home Depot. Everyone from Jesus, Amor, Naeem, and JR were great and pleasant to work with. The installers (Erick/Francisco) were courteous, patient, and pleasant to work with. They were responsive and the project progressed on time despite my unusual request to add some legs to support an unusually long quartz island overhang. They have a very customer centric culture and I really appreciated that. Thanks to your great team! I was very happy with how everything went although I thought it was weird that they did not put the outlet covers back after finishing the backsplash. We had a great experience with Pacific Stone. They were assigned to us through Home Depot for our counter installation. There were three visits for the process: the measurements guy (I can't remember his name! Sorry!), the demolition guys, and the installers. All of the staff were polite, knowledgeable and professional. Each person that came to our home took the time to explain, in detail, what they were doing and answer any questions. They all wore their PPE. Our counters look great! The schedulers were prompt with their return calls and set clear expectations. They were pleasant to work with. read more

We contracted countertop demolition followed by countertop installation from the Home Depot (marina del Ray store in Los angeles). We are in the middle of covid 19. The company contracted by Home Depot, pacific stone Construction/design, based in Anaheim, confirmed my appointment, stated that they'd send me the necessary insurance certificate for my condo (it took at least 15 emails and calls to get this done -this review won't even get into how bad communication was with this company as the other issues far eclipse this), and stated that the crew is screened for covid each day before, would wear ventilator masks at all times during the job, and would wear gloves. The demo crew arrived, and did not wear masks or gloves, despite my requests and CA law, putting me at risk of exposure to covid, and them at risk of injury. They then completed only half the job (after telling me they were finished -I was waiting outside the whole time due to lack of mask wearing inside). I contacted the manager when they started to leave and the crew was instructed to finish the job (and wear masks, which they then did for a few minutes before again taking them off when they went into my unit). They then started to work again, and within 5 minutes one man (not wearing gloves) cut his hand, and then left to seek medical attention. After speaking to the company about both the lack of gloves and PPE/masks, they assured me that they would send a crew that would finish the job and would adhere to these basic, required safety measures. The next morning, another crew showed up, no masks, and they did not wear gloves while removing the sharp debris. It is absolutely outrageous, and I am so incredibly upset about it. Home Depot guarantees their subcontractors, and is supposed to hire professionals. The subcontractor sent to me (pacific stone construction/design) did not abide by California covid laws or care about my safety, did not protect themselves (and subsequently got hurt and filed an insurance claim!), took twice the time to do the job because they just decided to pack up and leave half way through, and then charged me for more square footage than what they actually did do, despite all of this (The manager called telling me it was 20 extra square feet after day 1 which I agreed to pay, but I was billed for 27 extra square feet ! I don't know where that extra miraculously came from). After their utter lack of professionalism and disregard for my (and their own) safety, I cancelled the rest of the job (eg, the counter install). Now I have to find another company to finish. read more

They gave me a three hour window appointment (8am-12pm) and when they don't show within that time, there is no communication of an update. I called the office.. she was very kind and pleasant, she would call the installers for an update. First call they said running an hour behind. After the hour passed I called a second time.. running another hour behind. This 3 hour window has turned into a 5.5 hour window. We ordered our countertops through Home Depot who contracted with Pacific Stone. The HD rep Raynel told us she needed to check to make sure the reinstallation of our island electric stovetop was included. She also asked I send her pictures of the stove top including the model number. She then wrapped up the order and told us Pacific Stone would do the installation. Raynel and another rep from Home Depot came to measure, then Pacific Stone came to measure. At that time Pacific Stone told us everything was set and we were good to go. When we scheduled the install they emailed me a letter to sign saying that I understood they would not be responsible for any electric work such as removal and reinstall of the cooktop. I called them, confused because they told us everything was included. The rep told me to disregard that letter as it's just an automated letter that goes out and she confirmed they'd be handling the removal and reinstall of the cooktop. The day the install was to start Pacific Stone pulled the workers off of the job because they told us the removal of the cooktop wasn't included, only the reinstallation! We had to pay extra for the removal of the cooktop. We weren't happy but we paid it and asked they confirm there would be no more surprise charges or anything else that would hold up the installation, which they assured us there wouldn't be. They finally finished reinstalling the countertops but didn't reinstall the cooktop! The workers told us that's not something they do. I called repeatedly and got the runaround and no one would call me back. I finally reached someone who told me someone else would come over to do the reconnection. The next person that came over only reconnected the pipes under the new sink but also said he doesn't do the reinstall of the cooktop. After numerous calls and complaints a manager finally called me back and told me they aren't contracted to do reinstallation of electric cooktops. I asked why they didn't tell us that when we reviewed the order with them or when they came to measure and told us everything was good to go and why did they tell me they would take care of it when I called about the letter they sent stating they wouldn't do it but then told me to disregard it and assured me they would do it! And why didn't they tell us when they stopped the job and asked we pay for the removal of the cooktop and asked if there was anything else we needed to arrange for. The manager apologized and said the person I spoke to was new and didn't really know. They told us we needed to contact Home Depot to arrange for the reinstallation of our cooktop. I called Home Depot and left messages for Raynel who never called back. When I emailed her she replied that she was "out of the loop" and referred me to a manager. He told me we didn't pay for the reinstallation of the cooktop but that he'd have someone call me to schedule it. The manager at pacific stone apologized for the mess and said that if Home Depot was going to charge me they'd cover that cost. Someone finally called me to schedule the cooktop but they couldn't schedule it for about three weeks. We couldn't be without a cooktop for three more weeks so in the end we had to hire our own electrician to come reinstall the cooktop. Home Depot gave us a credit for that work. The whole ordeal was a nightmare. Raynel at Home Depot screwed up our order then dodged us when we tried to get it corrected. The people who work for Pacific Stone don't know what they're doing. I gave two stars because we liked our new countertops, they're beautiful and our kitchen looks great. But I would not work with Raynel at Home Depot or with the customer service at Pacific Stone. read more

This is the second time my husband and I have gone through Home Depot for countertops. Last year we remodeled our master bathroom and this year we renovated our kitchen. Pacific Stone Design Center partners with Home Depot and their work from start to finish has been consistently outstanding. Jason Hubert represents the company with professionalism and great knowledge of his business. He really listens and helped us through the entire process. Naeem was the project manager and was an absolute pleasure to work with. He coordinated and expedited his installers to meet my needs and not the other way around. Miguel came out to measure and provide the template which was critical to getting a perfect final fit. The ladies who work behind the scenes are equally as awesome. Denise handled the majority of our scheduling, contract agreements and consistently reached out to me on a regular basis. But let's talk about the installers. Francisco, Tony and Marco showed up on time, prepared and went straight to work. They worked for four hours to make sure everything was perfect! They have many years of experience between them and it shows. They were very thorough in the details of such a large installation. I have nothing but kudos for each person I've had the pleasure of working with from Pacific Stone Design Center and I highly recommend them as I couldn't be more thrilled. read more

I feel bad for the people who had their bad experiences, but I can share I had excellent customer service from beginning to end. They came out timely and measured for the top and cutouts and then they installed the top within 7 days. They did a wonderful job with the entire project. I was connected with Jose De Jesus Estrada Torres from Pacific Stone through Home Depot (Marina del Rey) about quartz Cambria kitchen countertops. Jose was fantastic every step of the way, always reaching out and answering questions, providing detail and going above and beyond. Really, the most professional and pleasant guy who truly wants the project to be perfect. As for the process, it started out a little rocky on the communication front with the main office. I waited 3 weeks after demolition before installation. The material was backordered and no one told me...that was frustrating to have a kitchen that was basically unusable until the sink, etc were reinstalled. However, the installation went well and the installers honestly did an exceptional job. Cambria and the fabricators make beautiful and excellent quality countertops. I really didn't want to give a star because Pacific Stone does not deserve a star, but it seemed I had to give one to get going with the review. I just completed a kitchen renovation project with Pacific Stone, contracted through Home Depot. The project included the installation of porcelain stone counter tops, back splash and a kitchen sink. Pacific Stone's measuring and demolition teams are okay but their project handling staff and installation team are terrible, rude and unprofessional. It was a nightmare experience and I will never recommend Pacific Stone or the Home Depot services to anyone. Pacific Stone refused to admit the mistake they made on the installation. Home Depot did not backup my concern. I am an unhappy customer but no body seems to care because I made a mistake of paying the project in full before it even started. Pacific Stone started the project on 5/5 with the demolition of the counter tops, disconnection of the dish washer, the removal of the sink, faucet, garbage disposal and electrical outlet jackets from the wall, followed by the template measurement the next day (5/6). Pacific Stone came back on 6/4 to start the installation of the counter tops, back splash and the kitchen sink but they were not able to complete the installation. They told me they need to take the stone back to their shop to cut to the right size. I was left with no kitchen for more than 2 months because the company never called me to let me know when they were coming back to complete the job until I called them to get a schedule for 6/23. If they really care about their company reputation and their customer service satisfaction they should have called me to schedule a time to complete the job without me calling them. Upon their return on 6/23 @ 4pm they accused me of deny entry because they came to my home in the morning but I did not answer my door while I was walking my dog. It was their fault that they did not call me before their arrival as they said they will. When they arrived @ 4pm on 6/23 I pointed out to the lead man that there was a gap between the stone and the wall on one side of the counter top. The lead man told me it is California standard that the stone is pushed all the way to the wall on one side of the counter and the other side is not so there is a gap. Really!!!! Since the lead man and his office did not want to admit their mistake on the installation I told them I will complain it to the Home Depot. They were mad and the office told the crew to leave and come back with Home Depot some other day because the office accused me of abusing the crew. Really!!!! what a false accusation!!!! So the crew left without completing the installation though I told the lead man if it is the CA standard then go ahead to complete the installation. I called Home Depot to report the incident and requested a Home Depot tech to be present next time Pacific Stone returns. Pacific Stone came back on 7/20 with Home Depot tech present. On that day all communication was via Home Depot tech somehow Pacific Stone refused to talk to me directly. Pacific stone was not able to complete the installation again on 7/20. Home Depot tech said they need to re-cut the stone to the right size again. Pacific Stone sent their plumber to reconnect the faucet, garbage disposal and dish washer on 7/22. They came back on 7/26 without Home Depot tech present to complete the job but refuse to put the electrical outlet jackets back on the wall. They said it is not their job to do that.They told me I need to call Home Depot to do that. I called Home Depot and Home Depot told me I can either do it myself or I will have to pay if they send out a contractor to put the jackets back on the wall. I told Home Depot I will take care of it myself but I am not very happy about this because whatever was taken off the wall by the Pacific Stone demolition team should be put back on by Pacific Stone also after the installation. I thought Home Depot was a very respectable home improvement service company but I could not believe Home Depot would hire Pacific Stone as their sub contractor and did not back up my concern. Both service providers are so unprofessional and do not care about their customer's concern. I will never start a new project with them in the future. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Mr Fred Zia at Pacific Stone and Design Center for my Kitchen and Bathroom Cambria Counter tops. Simply put, all in all it was a great experience, completely hassle free and fully professional. My wife and I are very pleased with their work. Being one of the large Cambria product center in Southern California they have large slabs and samples of most of the Cambria design. You can also get a quick estimate for the amount of money you will need to spend if you send a rough drawing to them. You can compare and see that they have one of the best price in town. They have an excellent crew who comes in and takes all the necessary measurement to install the counter and the sink which ends up as very nice product. I used Pacific Stone Design Center to fabricate and install quartz counter tops in my kitchen. This was through Home Depot. It was a wonderful experience. Jason Hulbert came to my home and gave me a quote. He was very patient answering all my questions. When I thought of more questions after he left, he responded so quickly and was always thorough. Dave Torres did the template. He has a great attitude and again, very happy to answer all my questions. The installers were very careful with walls, doorways and furniture. My wife and I are retired and live at Laguna Hills. Our cabinets were done about 40 years ago when the condo was built so we decided to replace our cabinets & counter tops in kitchen & bathrooms. Our son had already replaced his cabinets with Akia cabinets and he was happy with it and offered to do ours which we thank him for that. Cabinets were selected and installed while we were looking for counter top. We did some research and found out cambria quartz are the only quartz manufactured in USA which means they have to follow all the USA codes & regulations to manufacture this product, using cambira website we picked Brittannica design, cambria website offered 4 companies for installation in our neighborhood, we checked them all and decided to use Pacific Stone Design to install it for us and I will explain why we choose them. 1- We picked up the actual slabs which were used at our house at their warehouse and they tagged them with our name. 2- They took a picture of both slabs and used them in their computer system to show us the actual quartz cuts in our kitchen & bathrooms we asked for some changes and our designer changed the cuts as we requested, lay out was printed, we signed and it was transferred to their computerized cutting machine and we had our counter tops installed one week later exactly the way we wanted it.
