Let me make it simple, if PacSun does not have the brand you are looking for, then you do not want it. They only work with the top tier vendors because they are reliable and their warranty matters. Price: You should absolutely shop around and compare prices, I did and I found PacSun to have very competitive prices. Were they the lowest, not exactly but their total value is excellent and the difference is easily compensated by their services and support. Process: Super simple, submit a request online and they will immediately get back to you. They have all the tools to make the quote very simple to understand and extremely thorough. They can quote from Google Earth and provide several options within their proposal. You can pick and choose your components and it can be updated very quickly. If you like data, a simple process and clear numbers, it could not be more simple with their online proposal. People: If you found the right product at the best price, it still takes the right people to put it all together and deliver a happy and satisfying experience. Starting at the beginning, if you get Jonny T., it will be smooth sailing. He is quick to respond, knowledgeable enough to answer your questions and just a delight to work with. You can really feel he takes ownership of each project, will see it through and make sure it is completed with total satisfaction. Axel and Elvis are the onsite technical gurus. Axel will most likely be the first person you meet from PacSun, he will survey the property and get the project moving in the right direction. Axel will likely be the last guy to leave after the installation too. He will patch the stucco, paint it and clean up before he walks away. A true professional. Elvis is the magician, if he cannot install it, you are asking too much. I had a complicated install, tying in a previous install with new batteries and adding vehicle-to-load, along with generator backup, it was a walk in the park for Elvis. Manny and Devin, did not meet them in person but extremely professional and super quick with email replies. I had an issue with SCE after getting PTO, it took almost 2 months to resolve and Devin was on every email with SCE and got it resolved, never gave up. Overall fantastic total experience with Pacific Sun Technologies. System works wonderfully without any flaws, absolutely no buyer's remorse. Happier each month when the SCE bills arrives and it is literally $0 except for their ridiculous Nonbypassable Charges (NBCs). If you live in SoCal and you own your home, you need solar, SCE will always be increasing their rates. Get in now when there are still some federal green credits available. April Goes Green! by April My New Year's Resolution this year, like many others, was to go green (or greener). I spent all of last year researching solar energy systems and the companies that install them, as well as prices. Instead of going into a slick sales pitch that every other salesman insisted on (even when I told them I heard it all before) he asked me if I had heard it all before and when I said yes he asked if I had any questions. When I said no he took note of my electric bills, checked out the side of my house facing the sun, and left me with a bit of printed info. Just a day or two later he returned with a beautiful report detailing an environmental impact analysis, an energy analysis, annual utility costs, and different options with quotes. ALL other salesmen that came to my house would not leave me any of their company's material with a quote on it. Instead they all did a breakdown on a legal pad like someone trying to sell me a timeshare. I hate this. Next, the quote from Pacific Sun was the best I had gotten from any company, including one where I bypassed the salesman to avoid having to pay his commission - yes, they get one. When I gave them the go ahead and signed the contract, they took care of all the paperwork to get the rebate from the state. Sweet. Last, the installation only took a few weeks. It was noisy, but the guys working on it were nice, professional, and took a lot of pride in their work. The most time was spent waiting for the rebate from the state, city inspectors, and the electric company to do their part. I can't say enough about this company; they exceeded my expectations in all areas, which is something you don't find enough these days. This was an expensive investment, but well worth it. I am extremely happy with the outcome. During a one month period, I obtained three quotes. PacificSun was recommended to me by a co-worker. PacificSun was the only company that came to my house in person and provided a quote. They physically saw my property, panel, and electricity bills. The rep spoke with my family in detail about our future investment and the different options that were available. Pacific Sun Technologies just upgraded my existing PV system with new Jinko solar panels. The existing Kyocera panels had degraded performance since they were 20 years old. Part of the degradation was due to shading from trees which have grown significantly over the years. To avoid the shading issue in the future, the array was moved to another location. The new panels were seamlessly integrated into an existing Canadian Solar EP Cube system (reviewed earlier). Jonny, the consultant/sales rep, did a fantastic job in configuring the array and accommodating my specifications. Axel and the rest of the installation crew were very open to my ideas of how the conduit was run from the array to the inverter. They were efficient with the installation which took two days. The cost of the upgrade was fair. I had bids that were both higher and lower, but decided to work with Pacific Sun Tech since they had installed the EP Cube system previously. I found Pacific after doing a lot of research regarding solar companies. After talking with Dale, the project manager, I felt very comfortable about installing a system that works for me. Dale listened to what I wanted from the system and meticulously put a plan together. He explained everything so that I could understand it and answered all my questions in detail. Devin was assisted with the all the paperwork. She very personable. She processed all the necessary papers to be signed for SCE and my rebates within a couple of weeks. I have a solar system, which I know many have, originated with Sun Power who claimed bankruptcy. Lease taken over by Sun Strong who offers no immediate solutions. I opted to call a company who services the Sun Power equipment. Found Pacific Sun Technologies. Their customer service was a 10+ spoke with Devin. Within two days they had a technician, Jamie, out on my premises who worked his way thru repairing my system. He even had to call the manufacturer of my inverter to get into the proper codes to do the reset. He was the kindest, most patient and knowledgeable as you can get. To rate them 5 star is probably not enough. They are 10 star and I want to thank them so much for their kind attention and getting my system back up and running!! read more

Without a doubt this was the best experience I have ever had with a contractor. If you want solar installed these are the guys you want to do it. Obviously experts in solar but also experts in roofing which is just as important. The foreman, Ian, was fantastic. He did my initial walk through, (one visit) and my install took 2 days. He took the time to answer every question I had along the way. His team was neat and efficient and shared his concern for my satisfaction. In all, from the time I made the call to get solar til I flipped the switch and went live took only 33 days (most of which was waiting for Edison to give us permission!) Pacific Sun installed my solar panel system in Dec of 2020 along with a whole house fan. They did a great job answering my questions as I went through the evaluation process.
