Solar installed IN 2019 AND NIGHTMARE SINCE - PLEASE READ EVERY BAD REVIEW AND KNOW THEY ARE TRUE - you don't know what you don't know when it comes to solar, until you are educated and that's what we paid for, an evaluation of our system a little over a year ago -- you trust they do, you trust that a company you are going to give thousands of dollars to does - well THIS COMPANY, THEIR TECHS, THIER INSTALLERS DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING - THEY ARE INCOMPETIENT AND CON ARTISTS - oh and Jesse thinks he can bully me, no he can't and he is about to get what is coming to him - I am done! Stay clear of this company - ask yourself why they keep changing their contractor's license number? well, it's because of the fraud and bad work and probably being sued - going with them 7yrs ago was the biggest mistake we ever made - nothing but problems with our system, which we found out from multiple solar companies that solar edge is just bad and then let's not forget that bad workmanship from this company - the owner is an asshole - their salesman Sal, oh he is really good, so be careful - their techs are awful - Right now, our system isn't working - we had an evaluation done on our system over a year ago to find out what is actually wrong and wow - so glad we have these photos and a report NOW - we've been waiting for this to fail AGAIN, to get a response from them and we now have it so it begins - So - inadequate wiring done, so our house can burn down - not enough invertors for the system we have - this is our 4th invertor that is not working now, they have replaced 3 and supposedly under warranty - well guess what - solar edge has no record of warranty repair / replacements parts for our house - we found out they are putting used equipment back on our house (since the first fail within 3 months starting 7years ago!) and they don't even clear it so you can see the history on that used equipment, that we now have a copy of that too - that's how stupid they are - we have photos of burnt wires where there was a fire in the box - and the last time they were here over a year and a half ago when they were fixing something, the invertor I think, who knows, they high tailed it out of here after they opened that box, the monitoring system has been down over a year, so we have had no idea our solar wasn't working until I got a 1k bill last month .. June, I had a 224-dollar bill, our bills are all over the place so I didn't think much about it because its been they way for 7yrs, one month I don't have a bill next month I have one, but a 1k bill - yep system is down - oh did I tell you that 50% of the places they put a screw on the roof I have a leak? NO one will touch the system up there to fix the roof! NOW they want to charge us to come here and fix their shitty workmanship and the system - NOT - I will never give them a dime ever, but I can't say the same about them - RUN FROM THESE PEOPLE - if they show up selling solar edge, run, solar edge sucks, just ask a dozen other solar companies they will tell you the same thing and give you the low down on underline energy concepts - these people are con artists - they use to have more bad reviews; I wonder what happened to those? hmmm - When you read the bad reviews, you see the same pattern, same complaints - and they are true ! read more

Overall, Underline Energy Concepts (UEC) fulfilled my needs of completing a new roof and adding 5 additional solar panels on our 2-story house. Right from the beginning, Eddie came to our house and educated us more about roofing material, difference in types of shingles, and options available four our specific house. We received quotes from multiple companies (4 various companies with reputable ratings on Yelp!), but UEC/Eddie was the most educational and honest from the beginning. After deciding on which project we wanted to complete, we contacted each company to let them know the final outcome and receive adjusted quotes. Eddie crunched the numbers and was able to give us the best offer after informing him we wanted his business from his specific company, but we had to stay within a specific budget. Furthermore, he adding a few extra items at little to no charge when additional items were needed down the road. The project started in a timely manner and tear down of the entire roof began. Honestly, I wasn't mentally prepared for the amount of wood, nails, and old tile to be discarded, but the crew cleaned up at the end of each day and used a magnet to pick up any loose screws to not damage our car tires or little kids feet. The roofers were respectful and even brought a Port-a-Potty for the multi-day project to our house. They worked from sunrise to sunset each day. Yes, it was loud during the day, but that's what we expected. Luckily, kids were at school and wife was at work while I worked at home in case the guys needed help with any questions. But they knew exactly what to do and minimal guidance was needed on my end for the roofers. In the end, the family loves the roof. The extra solar panels are a long term investment. We've lived in our house 10+ years and we thought it was going to be our "first home project". But with the current market and prices, this may be our forever home and we've decided to invest on upgrading parts of the house each year to make this our "forever home". I'm glad UEC was able to make the dream continue for my families home. read more

We initially contacted Randy with UEC in March of '26 for a roof repair estimate. He showed up on time, with a great attitude and was very patient in explaining where the issue was and the best way to go about repairing it. UEC's pricing for this estimate was on par with, and actually better than, other roofing contractors in our area. At the time of the estimate, we were involved in an insurance battle, and were forced to put off repairs as we dealt with this issue. Randy was very understanding when we had to put the project on hold, and as soon as we were ready, his crew got the job done. The property was left clean and they took all materials/trash etc with them when they left. We appreciated the clear communication, and the honesty we felt from them. Well fast forward to present day, and we run into a problem with our electric panel that was part of their install originally. The line to our solar circuit breaker had failed this week, and we contacted the Team at Underline. I had enough and it's time to give a review. Be warned... PLEASE do yourself a BIG favor and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I do not know how they have good reviews. This company installed our solar at home and we are stuck with their horrible customer service. Leonardo and Miranda presented such a great sales pitch to us (which obviously, we believed and put a lot of confidence in all the promises this company presented to us). I do not have any regrets in life but I do now. It took months for them to install our panels with NO communications or updates at all. I thought talking to Sal will help elevate any of the issues we have but nothing. Our projects have been passed on to a lot of people namely: Dana, Damien, Tanner, and Michael but they are all the same. They don't even have the courtesy to update you or contact you. No matter how many times you email or call them. Their technicians don't even arrive at a scheduled appointment. From the beginning of the project until now, I have had no great experience in dealing with this company. We have been more than patient enough of them trying to fix the issues we have with the panels to no avail. I am still trying to get our issues resolved as of today. read more

They are constantly monitoring our system and recently sent out a technician to check our system as a small irregularity was detected. I contacted this company based on a referral from a neighbor who had used them for his solar system. I sent an email to their generic sales email and heard back from Marie who listed the pricing for the panels that I wanted to add on to my existing system. I replied to her email and even called her direct extension to see if it would be possible to get a technician to come look at my existing system to make sure their panels and inverters would work seamlessly with mine without any issues. Fast forward 3 days later and I have yet to hear from her or anyone else from the sales department. On top of that, calling into their sales department only goes to voicemail without anyone bothering to return the call. I'm basing this review 100% on the "potential" customer service. I sent a final email stating for them not to bother following up (assuming they would eventually) as I will be contacting another company to help with adding on more panels to my system. As I did my research for a year, I chose Underline as they had great reviews. My experience should sway you from that. I will warn you..save yourself the heartache in choosing the wrong company! They costed us tens of thousands of dollars out of pocket due to a 75k water damage claim that this company's irresponsibility has attributed to and an increase in home insurance or $1100/year x 5 years DUE TO WATER damage. We have always tried to keep this from reviews in hopes that it would be resolved n private. Unfortunately, his retaliation and response to our review on a neighborhood page reflected only blame and now I will let everyone know my review as well as the courts and CSLB: Be warned when going with this company! Because you have friends within the gates, does not mean you can bully me or my experience. I am 80k deep with you for solar and a new roof and you should have handled our home and issues with a white glove as you say you have done with all of your clients. If you have no prior complaints and encountered just "one" complaint (as a prideful business man) it's unclear to me as why my home did not have the same standards. My home and investment in your business should be respected and dealt with on a personal level and I was continually ignored. Your long winded response doesn't make up for 75k in flood damage to my home, which could have been prevented with overhang that we contacted you about since the install July 2022! That is 8 months to be exact and many many many times that we were ignored..as I also have texts and emails and pics of no show appointments and the shit job you did on our roof. On a side note (for others to read so they do not have to experience what I did) Your roofers left nails and debris behind, so much so, that it destroyed my rug, popped a tire on my boat trailer tire and the nails injured not only my dogs paw but my SONS FOOT. However, I digress, besides physical injuries...when contacting you regarding the "little things" as you so eloquently put it... i was hushed and your response was...that's how "roofers work and they are messy." Besides all of the above, during the work, I should have realized to pull out of the contract when your roofers literally took off my roof and placed it back on without putting shingles on for the solar and THEN had to come back to take roofing off for a SECOND TIME to reinstall a roof to be ready for solar install. I'll say this again..YOUR ROOFERS took off my roof, placed It back on and had to come back to take it off A SCOND TIME to put shingles on for solar! There is no way you have no complaints if your roofers habe to install a roof TWICE for solar. One really can't instill trust even after your lecture of " 2500 good installs" if a company fails so miserably to have to install and reinstall a roof for solar even if one has done so many "flawless" installs. Never mind the physical injuries! Your past experience in completing "good" jobs does NEGATE my HORRIFIC experience. PERIOD Most importantly, we contacted you about the overhang because my husband is a licensed contractor (as you stated, thank you) and knew if that was missing, our home would feel the effects of a bad roof job, which 75k later in flood damage..who knew, he was correct! Your company took 8 months to install overhang to protect what our roof protected before your roofers came out here, leading to the extensive flood damage to our home. You know this, we have had conversations about this. Do not ever pretend this is a surprise! I contacted you about 15 times throughout the 8 months to reinstall the overhang and was ignored. This experience was nothing but horrific for my family and your clear disrespect and regard for our home is evident . THANK YOU for confirming what I should have done from the beginning. Like most I'm weary when it comes to solar usually a lot of red flags start going up especially since all of the telemarketers and door knockers it always felt like a scam to me. I purchased an all electric home with outdated appliances almost a year ago so I figured I had no choice but to go solar. I got his info through coworkers (he does most first responders solar in the area) so I reached out to Jessie with underline For a quote, within a week he came to look at my place. Jessie was a wealth of knowledge answering any questions I had, he never made me feel uneasy during the entire experience. He never once pressured me about any of it it didn't feel like I was talking to a salesperson. Also he lives close so if their is ever any issue's he's close unlike Tesla.
