Two years ago, I was diagnosed with a debilitating nervous system condition that has completely changed how I engage in fitness. But being the stubborn "gym rat" that I am, I have refused to give up lifting and sprinting. My condition has caused major changes in my gait, proprioception, and running mechanics, which have been causing me a lot of silly injuries. A close friend recommended Sneakerama, theorizing that maybe "the right" shoes could help. I was skeptical, but decided to pop in to see what all of the hype among my avid runner friends was all about! When I walked in, I was welcomed with a friendly greeting and immediately jumped into a conversation about what my goals were. When I explained my wild healthy history, Alex listened empathetically and almost immediately knew what I needed - a minimalist shoe with a wide toe box to help correct my over-pronation and balance issues. He came back with four different styles, each with unique features which he explained thoroughly and allowed me to take for a "test stroll"! I ended up choosing a very cool pair of Altras - a brand I had never even heard of before! The next morning, I tried out my new shoes at the gym and I was THRILLED! I felt much more stable and was able to better engage targeted muscles while lifting. These Altras are a GAME CHANGER! Not only do they have me feeling better supported, they've also given me my confidence back! :) Sneakerama is a hidden gem! I grew up in Worcester and had never. been inside... I wish I had discovered this place earlier! They are so much more than an athletic shoe retailer - as a family-owned business, they take pride in what they do and foster a special sense of community to all of their customers!

I would not have found these without a staff recommendation, and I am still amazed. I got the right shoe at a decent price. I also wanted to support a small local business who is involved with the local running scene. I would be surprised if I buy running shoes from anywhere else after this experience.

She also sells candles, knickknacks, beautiful scarves and sweaters, dresses, shoes, jeans, dresses and hats and even lingerie last time I stopped in. All of her items are of very good quality so you can bet it will last, especially if you take good care of them. It's a wonderland of what you will find next. I don't live in the area anymore, but when I am back, always make it a point to stop in and browse around. It's a very unique store. The owner is a very down to earth lady who Is very friendly as is all her staff. Helping out small businesses is great. Upon my first visit, I mentioned some issues I had with my feet, primarily my left foot, and how I was required to wear a shoe lift which might make fitting me with a pair of boots more difficult. Lee remained patient as I tried on several pairs of boots, all the time offering me suggestions. After about an hour, I decided on a pair of Timberlands. I bought a couple different pairs of duck pants along with the boots. A few days later, I unfortunately had to return the Timberlands because they became too uncomfortable due to the tongues cutting into my ankles. I also had to return a pair of pants because they were also uncomfortable. My returns were taken back with zero trouble. Lee recognized me and immediately went to work yet again finding me a comfortable boot. I must have tried on another fifteen pairs, and again, Lee remained patient and helpful, even while there were several other customers requiring his help. I had just about decided on a pair of Terra boots, however I still was not completely satisfied with how they felt on my left foot while walking. Lee took the boot out back and stretched it for me in an attempt to free up some space, no charge, and even brought the boot out to show me exactly what he was doing. With the Terras in hand, I went back up to pay. The gentleman behind the counter asked why I was unhappy with the Carhartt pants I returned. I explained how they felt like I was wearing a parachute, however I very much liked the Key duck pants that I had also bought, but they only had my size in one color. He offered to order me whichever Key pants I wanted, so I had him order two more pairs in different colors for me. When all was said and done, my balance was about a dollar, which he refused to take from me. Lee also appeared once again, and gave me a container of leather conditioner for free. All in all, I am very impressed with the customer service I received at HCWW. Lee is a true dying breed- I would never in a thousand years receive the same service from a big box store. I appreciate all his time and effort in ensuring I left with a comfortable boot. I will be back!

Carolyn & Roberta are so helpful and wonderful and have the best eye for unique clothing and accessories! The quality is also amazing! Well, my dress's laundering instructions said machine wash and dryer ok. I wore it once! I don't dry my clothes in the dryer especially my beautiful clothes from here! So anyway, my dress came out of the gentle cycle ripped from v neck halfway down the breast line. Well, I shop here many times a year for business, special occasion and every day. Carolyn felt so bad... she said she'd contact the mfg. and send it back to them... I asked if she had another if the same dress, she didn't sadly. But she gave me a gift certificate for the amount I paid... graciously!!! I tell you... I love this place. They are a small business worthy of as much business as you can give them. We first stopped at our nearest big box home builder's store and although they have plenty of refrigerators they don't keep any in stock, the earliest delivery was about 5 days out. We couldn't manage without a refrigerator for that long so we left and went to check other places. We had never been to Whitco, but I thought we should check them out as I had heard it was a good place to get appliances. Whitco didn't disappoint, they had lots and lots of refrigerators from lots of different manufacturers. The best part was most were in stock!! Yay!! We selected our new refrigerator ( and they were a much better price than the big box store). I will definitely drive out to Whitco the next time I need an appliance!

They have done excellent hem work and coat sleeve adjustments for me in the past so I'm confident they'll work their magic with any alteration you inquire about! My partner wants to get a custom suit there (they look/feel luxurious!! Can't say what it's like to wear it, but the material is top-tier). Would highly recommend to anyone in the Worcester area for at minimum a free espresso (that happened on our first visit and we'll never forget it!) Highly recommend coming in one car as parking is in the city and right on the corner of an intersection--fits 4 cars I think? Decent sized lot for Wormtown!
