I was referred to this dental office by my insurance. The office is nice, large, and very modern. Parking was a breeze. Also, the staff is friendly. Alicia, was great in contacting my insurance and facilitating my visit. Dr. Matt spent a long time to examining my teeth and was very honest. I was told by another dentist that I have to do Root Canal, but Dr. Matt said there is no need. Mindy, the hygienist, also did a great job. I had a deep cleaning last year and the regular cleaning, done by Mindy was 100 percent better than deep cleaning done by Quarry Creek Dental Group in Oceanside. I highly recommend Packard Dental . Dr. Jared and Karla are awesome! The whole staff is great. I walk in the door and everyone is so happy and cheerful. I am so afraid of going to the dentist due to childhood trauma and everyone is so patient with me. They actually say I am fun. Dr. Jared will crack jokes to make me laugh and Karla holds my hand. I have had a lot of dentists in my life thanks to moving every couple years and dental issues that would rival President George Washington, and Matt Packard is by far the best dentist I have ever had. He fixed some of the sloppy work my last dentists from DC and Tampa inflicted on my mouth. He is very sure of himself, and performs his work seemingly effortlessly. I am also impressed with how modern and very sterile all of the equipment is. He has a pleasant and reassuring manner that makes me feel very comfortable and almost cheerful during my extensive work. Melanie, his dental assistant, is also wonderful, she is also cheerful, efficient and completely competent. I have always had great experiences here, and I might fly back for appointments if I move away again, because I have so much trust in Dr. Matt, and dental health is not something I want to mess with. read more

They even have a TV in every room so you're never not when you're never bored while waiting or when they're working on your teeth. I've never heard anyone say'"I love going to the dentist." And I've never said it either, until now. Yesterday I went to Packard Dental for a regular cleaning and the experience was just top notch. My hygienist, "K" ( I'll keep the full name secret to cut the competition for her services) gave me a tour of the new offices, explained the purpose for each dedicated area, asked me about any changes in health or meds, asked what I'd like to see on the TV in the ceiling, and then painlessly worked on my teeth. I recently went to get a new patient checkup since it was close and my coworkers had raving reviews. My experience was no different from my coworkers'. The staff were all incredibly friendly and patient to explain everything. They made you feel totally comfortable in asking questions and weren't pushy or tried to gloss over medical terminology. Dr. Matt was excellent and so nice. He took the time to go over my films and my concerns. His recommendations were very objective and didn't seem biased. There is a place in my heart for everyone in this office. That says a lot for a Dental practice. Who likes going to the dentist anyway? If you have always had bad experiences at the dentist or if you have a fear, then you should give Packard Dental a try. I can assure you, you will walk out feeling totally different. You may even be excited to come back. I have probably visited this office 15 times and each time I just wave when I walk in. They remember you, and they'll remember your job, interests and even your pets. Other dental offices should aspire to be like Packard Dental. I will be genuinely sad to leave this office when I move. I love going to the dentist. They are professional and friendly and, quite frankly, wonderful. I know I haven't had major work done, but regular cleanings (Cheers to Tiffany!!) and check-ups (Cheers to Dr. Jared!) have been perfect. Dr. Jared did a tiny filling on me a few years ago and I didn't even use novocaine - woop, woop! Thanks, Dr. Jared! Most recently, I received the laser cleaning treatment which worked quite well. I've lived outside of Carlsbad for a decade and now I live overseas, but I keep coming back to... my friends. My professional, helpful, friendly, dentist and hygienist. They are effective in dealing with my insurance company and communicate exactly what is covered and what isn't. Dr Jarred and Dr Matt are the absolute best. Me and my husband both go to their practice. We have had a few things done and highly recommend Packard dental. I am in the process of getting veneers and some of the temporaries came out while on vacation. I contacted dr Jarred to let him know and that I'll be back in town late Friday evening and that I have friends and family coming from out of town Saturday afternoon to visit for my birthday and if there is anyway he can fix my temporary smile Saturday morning while they were closed. Dr jarred was out of town but immediately texted Dr matt and asked him to come in on his day off and fix my smile. Dr matt had no problem coming in to fix me up.
