Insanity…read morethat I was going to let these guys swap out my aluminum posts for iron posts that wouldn't even match my gate. So I ask again, what are these guys experts at? Initial experience was bad. Sales guy came, was short with me, seems uninterested. Promised to give a quote. Waited 4 days. Didn't get a reply. I wrote a bad review and moved on. Owner contacted me asking me to remove the review and he can help me out with my gate job. I needed someone to help fix a botched gate install job so agreed. The job was to remove two existing posts and replace it with new steel posts. The price quoted for TWO posts were not cheap. He seems to think he's doing me favor for labor only but it was not cheap. It cost the same amount as the full job by the other company for the full install. I'm OK with it because at that point I wanted a job to be done by someone who knows how to do the work. Of course, I found out the reason they're expensive because they SUBCONTRACT to another company that specializes in gates. Are they the expert or is the subcontractor the expert? Nevertheless, I waited a week and a half for the scheduled date. The night before, he text me and ask if I have two steel posts that they need. They quoted me a very high amount to fix two posts but does not provide the materials for the fix. These guys are supposed to be experts in STEEL gates but do not have the materials for STEEL. So what are they experts in? Subcontracting? Reselling gate install service? What irritates me is that he sprung this on me at the last moment the day before. Our conversation was that the quoted price includes labor and materials to fix except for the extra materials that are needed that are ALUMINUM which I purchased. The fact that he asked me to provide STEEL materials at the last possible moment was maybe because (a) he misquoted me or (b) the subcontractors wanted more money to do the work. In any case, I cancelled the job. I cannot trust a company that bait and switch. If you misquote, then you own the difference, not spring it on your customer at the last moment.

Sometimes I work with contracting firms where an attentive sales person asks about your project, and then a separate team (plus an annoying game of telephone) comes to actually work on the project. Not with Maldonado! At least for now Alejandro is not only figuring out the design with you but actually building the fence 5. Alejandro made several AI renderings showing the different options, which were quite helpful. I'm surprised more people aren't doing this 6. I hired ASF Clean Team for gutter cleaning and repairs. The service agreement included cleaning the…read moreentire gutter system and flushing/testing the gutters and downspouts. After the service was completed, I observed debris remaining in multiple sections of the gutter system and took photographs documenting my concerns. Based on what I observed, I did not believe the entire gutter system had been fully cleaned as described in the scope of work. I contacted the company on the day of the service and requested a follow-up visit. Although a return visit was discussed, it ultimately never took place, and my concerns regarding the completeness of the cleaning were never fully addressed. Because of this, I did not feel the work fully matched my expectations for a complete gutter cleaning. To be fair, ASF did perform significant work, including gutter repairs and cleaning in other areas, and the company ultimately worked with me to reach a mutually agreed resolution of the matter. Future customers may wish to inspect the gutters carefully after service and document any concerns promptly.

We hired Jorge for a full backyard overhaul: removing bamboo and lawn on two levels, installing…read moregopher wire mesh, replacing soil, planting 25 ground plants, and replacing our pop-up sprinkler system with drip irrigation throughout. Leading up to and during the project he was responsive and communicative. When he told us the work was complete, we paid in full -- only to discover afterward that an entire section of irrigation had been left out, despite being explicitly included in our written agreement. When we raised this, he suggested we had been unclear, but we had the itemized scope in writing. He said he would come fix it, and over the following two-plus months, we scheduled at least five appointments to have it finished. Each time, he either didn't show, sent a substitute without notice, or confirmed and then cancelled same-day. His responsiveness -- so reliable before payment -- dropped off entirely. He has since stopped responding altogether. In the process, other issues surfaced. The gopher wire was left too close to the surface, leaving sharp exposed edges near plants -- making that area unsafe to walk through -- and it hasn't effectively deterred gophers, who are still reaching plants and roots through gaps at the top. On multiple visits, despite telling us that he was coming, he sent different workers; they never addressed the outstanding issues and only weeded. On one visit, newly sprouted seedlings we had specifically pointed out not to pull, were pulled. His offer of a warranty was a factor in choosing him over other landscapers -- but he has not returned to finish the incomplete work or address any of the issues above so I'm not sure how his "warranty" even works. We'd strongly recommend inspecting all work thoroughly before making any payment, and getting any commitments -- including warranty terms -- in writing.

Their price is reasonable for the more robust material they used together with their professional and efficient workmanship exercised. My project involves stamped concrete and artificial grass installation in the front and back yard for a combined area of around 1,900 sq ft. Other contractors tricked us to use their services while cutting corners to lower their cost by reducing thickness of concrete and base gravel for turf, and by deploying a weaker 1/4" rebar structure spaced every 24" for driveway and walkway without warranty. Without further bargaining with Juan, he already provided the best material and installation means for the sake of easy long term maintenance with warranty. For instance, Juan installed 5" thick concrete over 2" compacted rock base with 1/2" rebar spaced every 12 inches for my new driveway! Unlike other contractors who might show up only every few days with a couple of guys, Juan and his team were here EVERY day no later than 8:00am until the project completed. Their work and their attention to detail was just excellent! I highly recommended Green Landscape Construction as a truly reliable contractor.

We settled on a date, and he got all the work done in 2 days. I asked him if he could block off the sidewalk, because some people would walk or write their name in the cement. He brought some caution tape and used our garbage and recycling bins to block off the area. If you Google it, you should water your cement a few times during the day so the cement dries slower and sets stronger. Juan was a great guy and so were his people. He can do other things too, just ask him if you have other projects you need done. Mom and the neighbors loved the work also.
