Sanitize San Francisco was super responsive on Yelp and by phone and it was very easy to arrange move out cleaning at the date and time I needed, phew (moving and cleaning on the same day). The two-person cleaning crew was great! They had a little trouble finding my apartment and communicating with them was not easy (my Spanish is not good) but it all worked out and they did a spectacular job cleaning the apartment ! Yay! The apartment was way cleaner when I left it then when I moved in; i really wish I had hired them much sooner. Highly recommend! Worst experience ever, This company is extremely unprofessional. The cleaners intentionally arrived late and dragged out the time. A 400 sq ft apartment somehow took them over two hours, yet it was still not properly cleaned. When I wasn't home, they did nothing and just chatted loudly. When I pointed out the issues, they pretended not to understand English and ignored me. Reporting this to the company only resulted in passive and dismissive responses. Scheduling: I was able to schedule a Move-In Clean on a really short notice. The management team was very communicative with messaging via the Yelp app. Service: I would say the apartment was 99% clean after--the only thing I noticed was one was missed/forgotten window sill. (The other window was sparkling clean though!) I knew how dirty the place was before, so seeing "after" was really satisfying. Definitely a ton of work, so thank you team :) Pricing: $70/hr. I added a tile & grout cleaning for an extra $70. For this 2b/1ba unit, the total cost was $350. Payment method: The team asked for credit card info via a phone call and charged it after the service. This place is a scam. They said someone will come between 10-11am. No one ever showed up the scheduled appointment and they also took down my credit card information. Update: they tried to call after I sat at the property waiting for over 2 hours and blamed me. They said someone called and asked me to reschedule. I told them to show me proof. There was no voicemail, messages, or phone logs at all. Proceed with caution especially when they ask you for your credit card information before even providing service. Moving is stressful and I wanted to simplify it by hiring a cleaning service to take that off my plate of "moving stuff to do". I contacted quite a few companies to get quotes. Once everything was on the table, there were quite a few quotes that were cheaper, but Sanitize was the only one who acknowledged my specifics (deep appliance and bathroom cleaning) and listed out EVERYTHING that could be expected (down to window blind and base board cleaning). Long story short, I chose Sanitize, and end-to-end I couldn't be happier. The administrator I was working with (Trisha) was concise yet thorough in their communication and expectations of next steps. All of my questions were answered promptly and succinctly. Service was booked for the exact window I was hoping for. The team who showed up were also incredible. They showed up at almost exactly the starting window of the appointment and arrived at the door with all necessary equipment and supplies in hand. They cleaned everything from top to bottom in a little over 2 hours (YMMV; it was a tiny friggin' studio) and I was shocked at how thorough they were. They even mopped again, after I did the walkthrough to confirm satisfaction, to pick up any dirt that I may have trailed on the floor while walking through. Bottom line, really, you can probably get service for cheaper, but I would argue that paying a little more in this instance actually netted positive for my overall moving experience. Will definitely consider them and recommend to friends in the future. read more

The unit I needed cleaned was really in terrible shape. This company responded immediately with a quote and were up front about any additional potential issues. They were able to squeeze me in on a weekend on short notice. I scheduled a "deep clean", which was really needed. I had scheduled "deep cleans" with other companies in the past and been disappointed that the results did not seem terribly deep. I'm a very picky customer and rarely have the same cleaning company come more than once or twice. I always find the things they miss and feel I could do better if only I had the time. HOWEVER, Sanitize San Francisco is on a whole new level. I couldn't believe how clean they got my place, especially the oven and tub - I've tried everything with those two, to no avail. Sanitize SF got everything sparkling clean, like new. They cleaned behind and under things, they got to places I never expected them to clean.
