Love coming here for the ambience, dinners and enterainment experience (after 7pm) with the Tunos walking around singing and playing on their guitars and mandolin. You tip them of course to appreciate them singing at your table. On my last visit first week of November, the three of us had found out that later in the evening near the bar area in a room over there is live flamenco dancer performing along with guitar player. I believe it starts at 8pm?? Call to ask. They were pros! Singing from the guy playing the guitar sounded like he could be in the Gypsy Kings band wow. The lady danced so expertly and powerful! So the food is always on point tastey, the 3 of us had many appetizers and then shared a Dover Sole. The staff prepping deboning the Dover Sole table side did a superb job plating all 3 plates beautifully! I was impressed. One of my friends enjoyed the authentic Tunos and also went afterward to the bar area to thoroughly enjoy the Flemanco lady singing and dancing. Went for Mother's Day - we were a group of 13, including a baby and a preschooler. We were seated in the back room which was nice as it wasn't very loud and felt a bit private. The food was consistent with all prior times I had been there. The paella marinera was perfectly cooked. For main I had the filet mignon with a mushroom sauce which I didn't like and would not get again, the bacalao was great came with sweet onions and potatoes , and the lamb chop was delicious so soft and flavorful. My wife and I just really like going out on dates. Yesterday, we decided to have a date night at Casa Juancho, as we were both craving some Spanish food. It was my first time going there and instantly the vibes felt nice, calm and laid back. The interior felt like a medieval Spaniard tavern. Upon arriving we were immediately sat down. Our waiter came over to take our order and so our night began. We ordered Gambas Al Ajillo, Pulpo a la Gallega, Copa de Sangria, Fabada Asturiana and a Paella Marinera. Everything was cooked amazingly. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and perfectly garlicky. The octopus was nice and tender and packed with flavor. The fabada was amazingly warm and just hit the spot. The sangria was perfect. The complimentary bread they brought us was so soft and warm. The food all felt so homey and comforting. I went here with my family for lunch a while back in July and it was really good. The service was great and the restaurant was clean. We ordered Calamari, Pulpo a la Gallega, Grouper Croquettes, Gambas al Ajillo, and Callos a la Madrileña for our appetizers. The Calamari was very good, it was crispy and delicious; the calamari itself did have a different flavor than most calamari, it tasted more fishy. The Grouper Croquettes were also very good, you could tell the Croquettes were good because it didn't break apart when you bite into it. Gambas al Ajillo was good, it was just shrimp in garlic butter. The Callos a la Madrileña did surprise me, it was a lot better than I expected. We personally did not like the Pulpo a la Gallega, it tasted like alcohol slightly and it wasn't very good. They also gave us free bread that came warm with great butter. For the entree I ordered Entrecot de Res(NY Strip Steak) and it comes with a delicious Mashed Potato. The NY Strip steak was very delicious and flavorful, they also did a great job at cooking the steak, I requested for medium rare and they cooked it perfectly, most of the other restaurants don't cook the steak correctly. I tried a bite of the Chuletón de Ternera(Milk Fed Veal Chop) and it was very good and very soft. I also tried a bite of the Braised Oxtail and it was decent. What really impressed me was the Parrillada de Mariscos. The seafood platter had a great garlic butter flavor and it was delicious. We ordered the Caramel Flan and Torrija for dessert. The Caramel Flan was good. The Torrija was also good but surprised us. A Torrija is a Spanish French Toast that is deep fried, the Torrija we were served was cold yet crispy still and had a slight alcohol flavor to it due to the syrup they put on it. My Cousin that lived in Spain for a year said that this restaurant would be considered an upscale, authentic, and great restaurant if Casa Juancho was to be located in Spain. Next time I will reorder the Grouper Croquettes, Calamari, Parrillada de Mariscos, Flan, and Torrija. I would also want to try their Paella and Ham Croquettes. Overall, Casa Juancho is a very great authentic upscale Spanish restaurant in Miami. Every aspect of Casa Juancho was great such as the service, food, quality, ambience, and etc. I would come back. read more

Recently, my dad asked if i wanted to go have some tapas & wine & i immediately thought about Casa Juancho! We stopped in on a Friday after work & it was just as special as I remember it! Although smack in the middle of Calle Ocho, the restaurant oozes old world charm! Once you step in, you're transported to an old Spanish hunting lodge, complete with (poor lil babies) animal trophy heads. It feels very authentic & it retains an elegant, yet casual vibe. The waiters uniforms are reminiscent of bullfighters which adds another level of Spanish flair. We ordered the house red & it was perfect. The complimentary fresh baked bread with garlic butter was hard to resist but we needed to leave room for tapas! Walking through the doors you feel as if you've walked into Spain with wood adornments and waiters dressed in typical attire. The fish croquetas were so fresh and delicious we ordered another round. Given I am not from Miami, the only way I came to know of Casa Juancho is from my Ueber driver's rec. He was spot on! Casa Juancho is a welcome departure from an otherwise hectic world. The architecture from outside and the interior decor are very much old world charm. The flamenco music graces your ears while those at the front desk greet and seat you warmly. While looking at the menu,life slows down and you want to Shazam the flamenco music for the guitars you hear and want to hear more. I ordered a large glass of red sangria and was told they use good wine and they do. You taste it in the glass with an abundance of fruit. Meanwhile,a small baguette style loaf of bread lands on your table with a scoop of whipped butter. This bread, I was told, is typical Spanish bread upon my inquiry, for it was so addictively good. It tastes like a light sourdough bread, that combined with the whipped butter, allows your palate to enjoy the juxtaposed light body of the bread that melts in your mouth against the definitive crust. Those fish or seafood soup came next. Shrimp, scallops, calamari, some kind of fish, and vegetables in a tomato and vegetable based broth were great. The last bit of broth I shamelessly dipped the last of the bread in to finish it all off. Later that bread kept expanding in my stomach, so beware of the consequences of enjoying that bread. Then came the ultra savory lamb shank. I forgot to tell them the temperature, but it came out medium well and it was only slightly dry. Most people would not care, but I am typically medium rare and my palate can discern. Nevertheless, anyone would enjoy the lamb shank and I must thank my Ueber driver for that particular rec. It comes on an oval plate with gravy, peas, roasted red pepper, potatoes and buttery rice on the side. This is a substantial shank that is tender and oh so delicious. Bite after bite, your senses are rewarded. Credit to the chef! Families and friends are coming and going, dressed in nice linens and silks for Sunday dinner. I'm Shazaming the flamenco music. The red sangria, going down cool and smoothly, was a perfect accompaniment to the lamb. The rice mixing with the last of the gravy and lamb finished that oval plate too. I visited the clean restroom on my way out to walk over to the heart of Little Havana. I needed that walk. Dining at this level of quality and service, the price point here is an excellent value and one a person can afford to indulge regularly. For an out of towner, I would return to Casa Juancho when in Miami. For those who live in Miami and haven't been, what are you waiting for? Four very solid stars! read more

They are very attentive and ready to give you recommendations should you desire. Their paella is probably the best in Miami. For years it has even consistent and hasn't been altered. Its menu selections are immense with everything from USDA Prime Beef Aged a Minimum of 21 days to a hand-carved Jamón de Bellota 100% Ibérico 5J and a grilled Chilean sea bass with piquillo peppers sautéed with extra virgin olive oil and garlic. It has a warmly understated elegant atmosphere and they do and have everything to make you feel at ease and comfortable.
