The Grain Shed does a farm to table model and is a bakery and brewery. I got a snack here along with a beer and left quite satisfied. I got a Grilled Cheese Sandwich on some of their house made bread with some Cheddar, Swiss and Provolone cheese. The exact name for this sandwich is the Cheesy Toastie. And of course moving on to the beer... the primary motivator to come here. I got the Kölsch beer here called Field Trip. I do love a good Kölsch as they are nice, light bodied beers. And they are especially nice in the summertime. Flavor features in this beer is maltiness, breadiness, a bit of hoppiness and a dry finish. Another beer that Steve and I tried was the INWPA which was a Pale Ale. It was also a nice light bodied beer which again hit the spot despite it being a different drinking session. Flavor characteristics in this beer is citrus, a yeastiness, hoppiness and a biscuity trait. Good beers and sandwiches and we are aiming for a return whenever we are in Spokane again.

We came at a busier time and had to sit at the bar, but one of the waitresses offered to move our seats to a different table after a different party had left; she brought our utensils to us and was very enthusiastic! The food was also great, I got the bacon and pea orecchiette, and my friend got the Chicken Diablo. Both were served with a slice of rosemary bread that was a great vessel for any leftover sauce. I loved the food, the sauces were creamy and it tasted so comforting. Another thing I appreciated was the quantity - I feel like I often leave hungry after ordering pasta at a restaurant, but Ferrante's gives so much food, it was such a filling meal.
