I paddle all over the country, and in many other countries, I like to record my Paddle, especially first time, and transfer it from my Garmin watch to the relive app. This app creates a video of the trail and any pictures taken along the way or Geos stamped on the trail while you watch the video. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. We did some shopping in their proshop area for all of our gear and they offered us a generous discount for purchasing our boat with them! Boise River Raft and Tube is a great way to get some nice floatation device if you don't have your…read moreown or if you are bringing visitors who don't have a floatation device. At the end of the float, Boise River Raft and Tube has a designated rented raft and equipment pick up spot, for easy dropping off of your equipment. It is nice not having to lug around the gear after soaking in the sun for a few hours. They also have a bus shuttle service which takes you back to the top after floating down to the bottom. Service is always great. The workers are friendly and have good knowledge on how to have a safe and fun floating experience. Pro Tip: For those not wanting to ride the bus back to the top and going in a group. Consider parking a vehicle at the bottom, piling into another vehicle, and then driving to the top. After you float down with your group, hop in the car at the bottom and pick up the vehicle at the top. Though the bus ride back to the top isn't anything to be feared and is a great option.

It is absolutely beautiful out on the lake, and the views can't be beat. Here are some thoughts/recommendations for your visit: -The dock is NOT the place to fish with young children. It sways back and forth and kids are likely to fall in if they aren't watched carefully! Also be careful- there is lots of bird and deer poop on the dock! -It's hard to guess what might make the fish bite. Salmon eggs seemed to attract the most fish, but we still only caught one. We tried worms and fishing cheese as well. -The playground is really fun for kids, but the grassy area is filled with poop that make it hard to walk safely -The parking is so close to the lake, which was awesome!! Overall, we really enjoyed our experience here, and would recommend a visit! It's not a terribly far drive from Boise, either.

Because of this oversight, the entire lower unit almost fell off while I was out on the water with my wife and daughter. It was a terrifying experience that put my family in direct danger. When I took the boat back, instead of apologizing for the mistake, the owner was incredibly rude. He blamed my motor's custom design for the issue, even though the real problem was his shop's failure to secure it properly. He eventually fixed it, but then called me just to gripe and complain about how he "wasted his time" on a "dumb motor." A professional shop should know how to follow basic safety specs the first time. The owner's lack of accountability and his aggressive attitude are completely unacceptable. Save yourself the stress and the safety risk, take your boat somewhere else!
