The two things that make me nervous renting…read moreboating/water equipment is (1) the complex paperwork/threat of huge fines/ding you for something that's not your fault, (2) the low-tech / manual / not sure what to expect process. Both were the easiest - paperwork was simple, reasonable understanding of consequences/fees/what happens if x occurs. Also, everything was easy to understand, book, and fill out online. It took me 5 minutes to do everything and when I got there, it was a hello, simple instructions, and on my way to the jetski. Definitely coming back!

When we came back, we were told we could no longer get on as it was a risk, however they continued to let people go out on jet skis for over an hour while "being on low fuel" and telling us that it was a hazard. Extremely poor customer service from 2 young men sitting under the tent as they talked to us unprofessionally.

They gave us a breakdown on how to handle the boards and what to do and not to do then sent us on our way. The shop is not right on the launch but its walking distance and you do have to carry your board to the launch and back after so be prepared for that, once they seen me they did come to help me carry it the rest of the way, they also have dry bags to keep your stuff dry and I would definitely reccomend that as the water was choppy when we went so we got way more wet than when I go in the river back home. We had a blast and pull reccomend supporting them for your day at Kings Beach!

Online booking was easy. I've posted a picture of the pricing. My group of four came in early may which is not peak season so we got two paddle boards and a double kayak easily. Michael by the beach front was great, he set us up, gave us some instructions and told us about the scenery so we could plan our time accordingly. We had a great time paddling Lake Tahoe and there weren't too many people on the lake. We basically had it to ourselves. We took pictures by the rocks that Michael suggested, it was gorgeous. Very serene and beautiful experience. Van picks you up and transports you to the lake and provides life vests, waterproof bag, cooler with water and a snack. The only thing I would improve is the embarking and disembarking process. Trying to get out while over water is a bit of a challenge. Maybe some rubber mats on the beach would enable you to get out on dry land. Otherwise, everything was amazing!

The three hour rental was $96 and included life vests. $48 for one hour. $10 for the use of a dry bag. The staff helps launch you from the shore and will help pull the kayak in. Unfortunately they didn't see us coming in so we did it ourselves. This beach can get very busy on weekends, so making an online reservation is a good thing. Arrive early since parking can be tricky.

I booked a reservation online and signed a waiver the day before, (7/10/24) checked in, a quick safety instructions and I was on the water in less then 10 minutes. I suggest getting the half-day rental, once you're in the water it's fun and active and you'd wish you reserved for longer rental time.
