The wait for Mythos was long, especially in the Florida heat, but it was absolutely worth it. Despite dealing with some impatient and rude park guests, the staff remained professional and friendly. All of the front staff were professional but a special shoutout to Ruben, who greeted everyone with a smile and genuine kindness. He was attentive, welcoming, and made us feel like we were truly being taken care of. His positive attitude really stood out. Our server, Denzzy, recommended the Beef Medallions, and they were incredible--tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My husband loved the Wagyu Burger, especially the candied tomatoes, and the lamb meatballs with hummus were a delicious starter. Theme park prices are never cheap, but the quality of the food and service made every dollar worth it. In my opinion, Mythos offers some of the best value in Universal Orlando. I only wish it were at CityWalk so we could visit more often. Highly recommend--the food is definitely worth the wait! read more

We felt like we were walking into a Southwest slot canyon, which I know isn't what they were going for, but that's where it took us to in our minds. Very cool! We had a reservation and were seated quickly. Our server was friendly and did a wonderful job waiting on us. She recommended the salmon, and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Unfortunately, almost everything was downhill from there. Pea puree would not be my choice for a base, and the fingerling potatoes were overcooked but had good flavor. A side of brussel sprouts came with three of the four dishes we ordered, and they were overcooked and almost flavorless. Mushrooms came on two of the dishes and they had no salt or seasoning. My daughter's chicken was exceptionally dry but she said it was ok. Her fingerling potatoes had good flavor but we're off-putting because they were drenched in sauce and mushy. The mushroom risotto with scallops and pancetta was thick and creamy. The flavor was good, the scallops small, and the pancetta in small cubes. They should not have put the bland mushrooms across the top. The bone in pork chop was a little tough, and the bleu cheese flavor hits you over the head. Avoid if you don't like bleu cheese. The fingerling potatoes were perfect with this dish. The four of us were exceedingly uncomfortable every second we were in the restaurant because I would venture to guess the air conditioning was set to 60°. Two of us had jackets on with our hoods up in August. Our server explained that they keep it this cold because when it's hot outside, the humidity makes it damp inside. I argue that they could easily still turn it up a few degrees and the humidity wouldn't shoot up too much for comfort. When your check arrives, figure out the tip on your own instead of using their suggestion since they include taxes in their suggested tip. Tip should always be figured from the subtotal. Surprisingly, they did not even wish us a happy anniversary, and I made a note on the reservation. I read that Mythos will be closing within a year. If they are updating and not changing it completely, I hope they fix these issues because it really did have a great vibe. As it stands, I would not return, but hope you have a positive experience. We usually dine here when visiting Universal's Island of Adventure. This restaurant was a nice sit down and airconditioned place and the food was really good. However, this trip, the quality fo the food was mediocre at best and we were disappointed by this. Our waiter was also not attentive and we had a tough time getting the level of service we have come to expect from past dining experience. We ordered a number of appetizers to share and a couple of entrees. We had the Mythos Signature Dips and Lavash Bread, Meditterean Baised Beef Flatbread and the Spanakopita Dip. The best appetizer was the Flatbread. The dips were disappointing and had not much flavor. We also ordered the Wagyu Burger , Chicken tenders and the Beef Loin medallions. The flatbread was flavorful. The bread itself was nice and fluffy and was not soggy. The spinach dip did not present well nor did it taste great. Very unappetizing. The signature dips - we did enjoy the red pepper hummus and the baked feta with roasted tomato sauce. Did not like the tapenade as much. Chicken tenders tasted good and so did the burger. The beef tenderloin, I was told, was just OK. Not much flavor/seasoning. The area where this restaurant is located will be torn down by Universal and a new exhibit/attraction is planned. I heard this place would close in 2027 due to Universal Orlando tearing this entire area down to replace with a different theme. As I heard rave reviews from friends, I wanted to check this restaurant while I could. I'm glad I did because, especially for a theme park, the food is excellent. I and my friends started with a bread and dips appetizer that was so good I didn't get a picture because we devoured faster than piranha. However, i did slow down for my entree, the souvlaki couscous bowl with chicken kebab. Absolutely delicious. Maybe the best entree I've had inside a theme/amusement park. Oh, and service is excellent. Nothing to say other than that. Overall, probably the best restaurant at Universal Orlando. But it won't be here much longer, unfortunately. read more

If you are looking for a break from typical theme park fare and want to experience fine dining in between riding roller coasters, Mythos is Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure is the place for you. This restaurant continues to receive accolades for its menu and service and has won awards for being the best in theme park dining. Mythos provides a calm and luxurious setting to enjoy Mediterranean and Asian inspired dishes. There are whimsical details of mythology throughout the decor. With water features and the cave-like structure, it can be noisy, but in a pleasant way...similar to using a white noise machine. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They are happy to provide recommendations. They work together to make sure drinks stay filled and food arrives at the table as soon as it is prepared. Shout out to CHRISTIAN who took great care of my parents and myself on our recent visit. The menu is vast. There are amazing choices which will allow you to try something new or a better version of something familiar. The quality of the food is excellent. The portions are huge. If the cost of dining here is your only reason for hesitating, share a dish with a friend because you want to experience this restaurant! I'm glad I walked around scoping out a place to eat and didn't settle for a fast / casual spot. I walked past Mythos and there was a big banner saying "10 time winner #1 themed park restaurant in the world! - theme park insider. The menu sounded enticing so I decided to give it a try. I put my name down on the waitlist and was told it would be 25 minutes ish wait but luckily I only waited about 15 minutes. The inside and building structure is so cool! Definitely the better food option in this park. It's a sit down restaurant and the service was great! Shoutout to the wonder Stephanie for being so personable and super sweet. I ordered the sea scallop & wild mushroom risotto $45 and Siren song drink. Wow the portion of the risotto was perfect, especially since I paid $$ for it. It also tasted so freaking yummy!! When researching dining locations for our Universal Orlando trip in December 2024, my mom and I wanted to try this location as the atmosphere looked beautiful. Which when arriving, we definitely were taking in the beautiful decor and theming of this restaurant. Additionally, the menu seemed to have options that we'd all enjoy so this was on our must try list for the trip. Robert was very friendly when we were seated, and great with my food allergies. We started with Spanakopita Dip as a starter which we all enjoyed! We were off to a great start, but there was a mishap with my mom's salad as it was missing ingredients. Later we would find out it seems she was served the wrong salad, but she didn't want to fuss. We did bring up to Robert who attempted to fix things, then identified the wrong salad likely was the reason for missing ingredients. Besides that, my dad and I both enjoyed our entrees. We visited this restaurant during our Orlando trip and going to Universal Studios. We chose to eat here because it was new to us and it was about to down pour and wanted to sit inside. It's a hidden entrance and you could walk right by it. We are so glad we found it. Food was DELICIOUS!!!! the inside is themed like an ancient myth grotto. We only waited 10 minutes to be seated. Our server, Tiffany, was superb! Great personality! Very attentive and came over quickly once we were at our table. She mentioned a few favorites from the menu and we were very happy with her service! The menu items were on the Greek side but we enjoyed the entire meal. For an appetizer, we ordered the Dips and Lavash bread (it came with a large round disk-type bread with seasonings on it and 3 types of dip-hummus, tomato and kalamata tenpanade. Very good!! My son ordered the Waygu beef burger, which he said it was great! Hubby ordered the Caesar salad with chicken (which was a chicken kabob on the side). It was very good. I ordered the Signature Greek salad with chicken (also chicken kabob). This was my favorite Greek salad ever- loved how they put crackers in layers. The ingredients were chopped in perfect sizes making it easier to eat it. We split the Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake for dessert. This was the highlight of the meal. Tiffany brought over the bowl with the round cheesecake over the Dubai Chocolate base (it had a silver cylinder around it), when she put the plate down, she removed the cylinder and the thick chocolate just covered the cheesecake and gave it a great presentation!!! For a restaurant that touts itself as the "#1 theme park restaurant," it did not live up to the hype. My mom and I went for the first time to experience it as our annual passes are expiring and we will not be renewing them. I got the fork, knife, and spoon grilled cheese and she got the honey glazed salmon. The grilled cheese was average and the tomato soup, which had good flavor, was unfortunately on the cold side. I hated the crispy pork belly and plantains (?) on top of the sandwich -- seemed completely out of place for the dish. The honey glazed salmon, per my mom, was also average and the brussel sprouts were not cooked thoroughly. We finished with the warm flourless chocolate cake featuring peanut butter ice cream, bananas, and caramel. The whole ambience and theme of the restaurant is amazing, not to mention the view of the water and coasters. The Caesar salad and calamari were good but nothing super special. The pork chop, however, oh my god, dare I say one of the best pork chops I've had in my life. It was so juicy and tender - and it was a huge portion. Everything we ordered was split between 2 girls and we were stuffed afterwards. The waitstaff were also very nice and explained the menu to us with recommendations. Definitely our favorite restaurant at Universal. Went back on a recent visit and the food And service were both great. We had the filet, bucatini, couscous platter with beef kabob, and kids pizza. The have more types of food than Mediterranean food. Just like the rest of the part, you could order Pad Thai or more American fare. But that didn't bother me. But, we enjoyed our meal here. It was a late ~8:45-9pm meal as the wait was much longer than quoted but we weren't in a rush. We shared: *Mezze Platter(V)- $15 (a tasting of house made hummus, baba ghanoush, marinated fennel, Kalamata olives served with charred pita) - the baba ghanoush was a little bit too sweet for me. the pita seemed like super market pita rather than "house made" or fresh. But, the humus was good and i liked the marinated fennel! *Souvlaki Couscous Bowl (za'tar spiced couscous, fresh cucumbers, marinated artichoke, Kalamata olives, spiced chickpeas, feta cheese, tzatziki, tahini dressing) - we added the lamb kofta which made this tiny bowl $30! The ambience here is incredible & that's why we decided we wanted to go in the first place. We walked through a few weeks ago and had to come back & try it. The giant windows overlooking the theme park are so beautiful with all the water features of the restaurant. We got to sit at a table right by the windows which we were so excited about. Service was... interesting. All the staff seemed very unsure & distracted, like something else was going on that we didn't know about? So maybe something went down that we didn't know about or maybe they're just like that? Service took awhile but we were happy to sit & chat in this beautiful place. Started with the spanakopita dip which was delicious. It's a huge bowl and has all these toasty little pitas with it. Highly recommend & it could easily serve three people. I was very surprised with the food at Mythos. It was expectedly a bit expensive since the restaurant is located inside the park. However, the quality of the service and food was great. My partner and I ordered the calamari and the meatballs. The calamari was crispy and cooked perfectly on the inside. The meatballs were solid and I enjoyed the red sauce they came with. We were both decently full after the meal and were easily roaming around the park until closing without getting hungry. I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance because there was a long line of people waiting to be seated for a 2pm lunch. read more

Dining at the Mythos was a wonderful experience. This unique Greek Restaurant was the perfect place to get away from all the hustle and bustle of the parks and enjoy some family time. Our small group waited less than twenty-five minutes to be seated and once inside, we were impressed with the overall atmosphere. The ambiance was so calming, really it was breathtaking. Our waitress Madison was amazing! She was an absolute sweetheart. A hilarious young lady that made my family & I feel right at home. She provided excellent service and her bright personality was one of the highlights of our vacation. To top it off, the food was so good. We ordered The Lamb Burger, Sea Scallop & Sweet Corn Risotto and the Summer Pesto Ravioli. Everything was well-seasoned. For dessert, we ordered the Cinnamon Bread Pudding & Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee- both were good but the Creme Brulee was outstanding. There were no leftovers because everything was delicious. Even though we were stuffed by the end of the night, we left highly satisfied. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Island of Adventure. It is in a theme park so you need to have reasonable expectations. With that being said, there is a huge banner out front of the resto that says it is the best theme park restaurant ever. So maybe you can have some expectations. When I am in IOA I usually do not want to be sidetracked by cheap sex potions or other miscellaneous items, I just want to go stand in line at Velocicoaster and ride it as many times as I can before I go back to the Disney bubble. In a still-summer-in-Florida month for the beginning of HHN I got to IOA early to see if they still had a passholder magnet in the UOAP lounge and unsurprisingly they did not, there are hardly any perks for out of state UOAP except you easily get your money's worth on "free admission" for the year after you visit a very small number of days (parkhopper) to "break even" and beyond before the year is up. When I change planes in MCO you better believe I am budgeting time for at least one ride on Velocicoaster as long as I am UOAP. Meanwhile at WDW they have hundreds more passholder magnets available than they have passholders, so if you stroll up at the complete end of the month you still get the passholder magnet. But I digress, we're talking about food and not magnets, unless you are Magnets Georg, who devours over 10,000 magnets annually while the average human incidentally only eats one magnet in his entire lifetime. Since I was in IOA all morning and early afternoon before I could get the HHN wristband at Lombard's at 3 in the other park, I went three rounds on Velocicoaster before I was thoroughly dehydrated in the heat and riding a fourth seemed unwise until I had some water and eaten something to dispel the vapours. I had walked by Mythos dozens of times and thought the banner out front was funny since theme park food is not known to be top tier dining, but maybe this was not a meme after all. I looked on the Universal app and there were no rezzies available. I still walked over from Velocicoaster and batted my eyes at the bouncer out front to get on the gentlesir's walk up list - under 30 minutes, sweet. It was almost 100 degrees out, so I made use of the air conditioning being blasted in the lobby of Mythos. I looked like I went swimming when I walked in but my lulu clothing dried out while I waited for the table. I was called 10 minutes earlier than I was supposed to, so I like that Universal in this one instance overestimates the wait so you feel like it is a gift of time back to you from Queen Mythos herself. Meanwhile I often have to wait 30 minutes more than posted at Velocicoaster, and one regrettable time I waited 4 hours for Hagrid's when it was posted at 130 minutes, so they really did math bad that day which bothered me since had it been posted at 4 hours I would have been insane to agree to wait, but instead they tricked me into waiting 4 hours for a ride that is truly not worth it, that could have been almost 3 attempts on Guardians to get I Ran again rather than just Conga over and over and over and over again. Having batted my eyes properly at the bouncer, I got a table by the window so I dined looking out at the Hulk, quite a view. The server was nice and polite and made quick work. I had the mezze platter ($15 without UOAP discount) which came with house-made hummus, baba ghanoush, marinated fennel, Kalamata olives, served with charred pita. Errything on this platter was delicious and gave me the strength to power through getting the wristband at Lombard's and waiting in line for hours for HHN to start. I was skeptical of good theme park food before I had this mezze platter dropped in front of me. At the other park next door the banana icee machine is always broken in front of MIB these days, but I consider banana icee to be fine theme park dining, before the mezze platter changed me. Delicious food, surprisingly affordable for a quick service lunch (importantly, with no dress code since I was in clothes that could get wet for HHN) to only be $15 before UOAP discount in a theme park that actually included vegetables and vegetable adjacent items, excellent view out the window to the Hulk, nice server, no complaints. I actually have zero complaints about the whole experience from start to finish. I don't often eat in theme parks (unless Icees count as "eating") except for Epcot Food & Wine, and this mezze platter rivals quite a lot you can get even there this year. Rumours are this joint is closing with the Lost Continent demo, so visit sooner than later for this mezze platter before this joins Rip Ride Rockit in only distant memories. read more

We've passed this restaurant a couple of times whenever my family has gone to Islands of Adventure and wondered if it was any good. It has a banner on the front that claims it won an award for best theme park dining ten times. I walked up and asked if there was a same day reservation. It was fortunate that there was a 4:15 available. Walk-ups are possible but you will wait of course. Reservations are strongly recommended. We were seated a little before our reservation and did have to wait a little for the waitress to come by. She was very friendly and apologetic - I'm guessing they were short staffed as the restaurant was busy with people and not enough waitstaff. Dad ordered the salmon and thought was good but not the best salmon he's ever had. I tried the brick chicken, which had good flavor, but I learned that the herbs didn't sit well with me later. The restaurant is nice and the service was fairly good - not the fastest but again, I sense they were very short staffed on a super busy weekend. Food was not bad, but I would try something else in the future. I feel it is a little pricey for what they give you portion-wise. While it was a good experience, I would be hard pressed to rank this as the best theme park dining. read more

Is this the best Universal Restaurant not at EPIC Universe? Yes! Can this restaurant compete with higher end Disney restaurants? No way! I have no idea how Mythos is a 10 time winner of #1 theme park restaurant in the world when Disney easily has 10 better ones. Maybe Disney is excluded in the rankings? I started with a $17 Immortal Old Fashioned. It was decent. However, any Old Fashioned that isn't served as 1 giant ice cube can't be ranked above a 6/10. For an appetizer I had the $14 Lemon Hummus. Now this was freaking awesome. I'd totally come back here just for this. It was spot on and super delicious 9/10. Up next was the $17 wedge. Disappointing. Kind of plain and boring 4/10. For the main course I had the $24 Mythos Signature Lamb Burger. This was also really really good. I'd rate a legit 8.5/10. Tons of flavor and I was super hungry. I made a reservation online. This place is super busy and lots of people try to eat here. Considering the other options, this is by far away the best spot. read more

This is the highest recommended eatery in the park. You have to get a reservation or you will not get a seat. Our planner actually booked us here long before we ever came. The inside is ultra cool. It looks like it is carved out of a cavern or something. It stays packed so again be sure you book a time long before you come here. The food was interesting, expensive, but some things were fantastic and others were ok. It was an experience that I'm glad we all did, but honestly... for the price I would not do it again. The restaurant is beautiful. The window views are excellent, specially at night time when the park lights are on. Reservation in the afternoon was easy and employees friendly at the entrance. However the food quality was pretty disappointing. Expensive, not tasty, meat was burnt. The service wasn't great either. The server seemed that she tried to help , but she didn't pay much attention to what we said. However, at the end she was very clear on where to leave the tip. read more

The food and service were amazing! I didn't have high expectations for a theme park restaurant since most of them usually sell the same things but this food was incredible!!! Was not expecting it to be so good and fresh! Definitely a great place to cool off and enjoy a nice meal. read more

A decent restaurant inside a theme park that is still reasonably priced. About half an hour wait at 1pm on sunday. Started off with two cocktails, the sangria is refreshing and delicious, the River Styx is a bit too sweet for me. Food is generally good, especially like the risotto which is rich but also comforting to eat, the sweetness of the corn is a highlight. Great, quality food at a theme park? Yes, go to Mythos and you will find it. We started with some calamari's that were fried to perfection and not too chewy. The drinks were refreshing and good after a long day at the park. For main entree we got the pork chop which it had one of the most amazing, unique taste. Worth it if you like strong flavors. And we also got the fried rice with chicken. It was delicious. For dessert we had the very delicious bread dessert with ice cream. It was very sweet and tasty. Definitely the food was on point, I took a star because I felt the service needs more attention to details and it was kind of slow. But in all, I would dine here again when I want delicious food at the park and not junk. read more

We did not expect to find a classy frou-frou restaurant experience inside an amusement park, but yet we did and lucked out by finding reservations here Amazing selection of vegetarian options both appetizers and entrees, great wine selection and a surprisingly tasty kids menu that included the delicious garlic penne.
