I've been a couple times here and it's been pretty good. I came in an got a custom bowl with kalua pork, ahi tuna, shoyu tuna. The bowl was filled with 2 cups of rice and probably only 2 oz combined of meat. I was super disappointed for 20$! It tasted great but I only got a bite size portion with a ton of rice! Just be weary for next time that you get your moneys worth! read more

My employer loves to feed us, and I'm so happy someone suggested Paddles Up Poké because I've been wanted to try this place for forever! First off, props go to whoever named the dishes. You got "Sun Valley Ski Bum," "California Invasion," and my favorite, "Eagle Road Rage." Y'all know exactly what they're talking about lol! I filled up to the Eagle Road Rage (Salmon, Wasabi Shoyu, Seaweed Salad, Cucumber, Jalapeños, Pineapple, Wasabi Cream, Siracha, Chili Flakes) mainly because that name is just too good and it sounded delicous. To make things fun I ordered mine in sushi form. Yeah, a sushi burrito! If you haven't tried this you're missing out. Anyway, it was delicous! I loved it and would definitely order it again. Everything was FRESH and SMOOTH. That poké literally melted in my mouth. And it was rather large. I only ate about half and saved the rest for the trip home. It saved surprisingly well. Only complaint? I think the wasabi cream and sriracha was forgotten because there wasn't much flavor. Thankfully I had my own little bottle of sriracha. Solid poké place but I think I still like Naked Fins better. Fresh fish and decent selection. I was dying after my flight to Boise and this helped assuage my fears. They were barbecuing chicken for their bowls when I showed up and I think that might be the star of the show. Trippy blue rice that's supposed to be healthier for you but who knows? So, pretty stingy on the proteins and heavy-handed on the rice. I was expecting more from this place. I was also horrified that they served a fake crab mixture as an option. I had to ask to have it removed from my bowl once I learned what it actually was. Just about every other person, at this point, has some kind of sensitivity or allergy -- I have no idea why someone would serve this highly allergenic "food" to the public. After having the removed, the bowls were just ok. Like I said, they are basically charging you for fillers and limiting the good stuff. It tasted pretty good, don't get me wrong, but half the rice was left to waste. It's kind of ridiculous. I probably won't be back. read more

I was curious about the blue rice, it's just a neutral food dye that doesn't add any flavor, still very cool presentation. The rice was super dry and old, and the workers didn't wear masks over their noses. Bad enough to flagrantly disregard people's health, but doing it over cold, raw food makes it so much worse. We much prefer Poke Bowl. read more

Yup...I guess we are going through Shrink-session....but this was ridiculous. I got the large bowl once I saw how they were measuring the cubbed tuna pieces. First, the scooping spoon....is Mini-Sized to bits.... ....she was scooping so carefully, just so she would not snag too many Second, once the tuna, and the other proteins, were scooped, she very carefully, scrapped any pieces that dared peak over spoon's brim. Shaved the any extra pieces right off. Third, which threw me for a loop, when we got to the tobiko..... drum roll.........tip of the teaspoon folks....not even half a spoon. .....speechless....... .....so I enjoyed my bowl of rice..... So, if you like rice....head on over to Paddles up Poke..... ......you'll find yourself up the creek with no.......sushi protein. read more

What's with all the rice? My bowl was filled to the BRIM with rice. I hardly got any of the toppings that came with my order, and i was just left with a big bowl of blue rice. Little miss paddle up needs to rethink her scooping choices. If i just wanted rice i would've used my rice maker from Costco. Would leave a 5 star review but my brother in law doesn't work at this location anymore bring him back please whoever the owner may be. I eat here all the time and tell me friends about it but I don't think I will be anymore. It's expensive and the food is great but besides that my complaint is about the new lady manager thats here now. She is always rude when I come in and refuses to give me the village discount when I come in all the time. Nobody else in the village has a problem doing it because majority don't have badges or uniform or ID. She also seems like she hates her job and isn't friendly to any customers every time I go in there. Overall, Tommy was a better manager there much nicer too. Please move her back to nampa where she belongs cause that's not the village reputation. I also want to clarify I'm not being biased because he's my brother in law, I've given her like multiple chances and she always manages to be rude and blunt. read more

I come to Paddles Up Poke often, but I might have to start looking elsewhere. I always get the same XL Bogus Basin bowl, but the toppings that used to be liberal have been pretty much non-existent. When I came home this last time I had to add more sauce to give it somewhat flavor. Any other place that I go to adds a good amount of toppings which adds to the flavor and texture. I am not sure if it's a training thing since I never encountered this in Boise. I'll update my review if it improves any, for now... I'll visit some other poke places in the area. read more

I am so happy Paddles Up returned to Meridian - they have the best poke by far. The location in the Village is pretty convenient, especially since orders seem to be to-go only during COVID. Their ingredients are always fresh, service is friendly, and they do not skimp on ingredients like other poke places I've been to in the area (e.g. making the bowl about 80% rice). I frequently order their build your own bowl as well as the delicious brookies that they seem to procure from a local bake shop. I highly recommend this location! read more
