Meh. I most likely won't be going back. The service was OKAY. The lights kept flicking on and off throughout most of our meal (it wasn't storming) The fries had too much salt/pepper. my burger was just okay. This was our first time at Paddy's and it will be our last! We came for lunch but, they don't open until 2:00pm. The hours are not posted on the out side of the building. The tables are close together and low. It was hard to get my wheelchair in the building because of a large sidewalk sign that should have been out side was blocking the entrance. A waitress could have helped but stood there looking as we moved the sign and some bar stools. I had the bacon and apple salad with goat cheese and hazelnut dressing. It sounded wonderful. When she brought the salad I first noticed that the bacon looked a little funny. There were large chunks, flat strips and crumbles of bacon in thick globs of bacon grease around the salad. The apple was 4 thinly sliced decorations and the 2 cherry tomatoes looked like they had been cut in half the day before. The dressing looked like thick brown mud and was so strong with vinegar that it was not edible. No hazelnuts. The tablespoon of goat cheese looked like it had been thrown at the salad from across the room. What are these people thinking! My husband had the fish and chips. He had 3 small Tilapia dipped in batter only on one side which made them curl up when fried. They were over cooked and turn into fish jerky. $16.00 are you kidding me? The" chips" or stake fries were the only good thing on the plate. I've worked in the food industry for 35 years. I know not to send a dish back to the kitchen when the food quality and service is so poor. OK, bad food is one thing but when we went to leave, that same waitress that didn't help us come in, held the door open wide this time and made a rude comment about me in the wheelchair, I was shocked. Great service and food - the Irish classics were great. If you love goat cheese you must try the bangers sandwich with bacon jam and coleslaw. The Rueben was a twist on the original no sauerkraut which worked for me since I don't particularly like it anyway. The lamb sliders are great too. It was our first adventure to Chateau Elan, so we decided to check out Paddy's for our after wine tour. I am sure that I approve of this place more than I should as a result of the blissful time that I was having on the vaca. We decided to try an appetizer of something like some tempura mushrooms. clearly, I had on wine goggles because I did not notice that you only get 3 of them for some ridiculous price that was ridiculously close to $10. Now, this is a gripe of mine. If you are selling appetizers, who is the CRUEL person who decides to offer them in uneven numbers. Especially 3??? It is like... if you have a pair of people sharing an appetizer, each of you can have one, no problem. Then you get to the 3rd one and you are looking at them, they are looking at you, y'all are looking at the appetizer that is looking at both of you. You do not want to be rude, but neither of you have had anything to eat all day and having ONE bite of something is really not enough to whet your whistle OR enough to really let you know if you like it or now. I mean, it is just a pop of a bite in the first place. And, those suckers are HOT. So, the one lone bite of mushroom is just looking at you both and no one wants to say - oh, you have it. But, they also do not want to say - I don't want it. You SUCK for giving people only 3 mushrooms, Paddys! I had the lobster bisque that was clearly only lobster flavored, there was not even a slither of lobster meat in the bowl. I had the fish & chips, but instead of the fries, I had a salad. Now, sorry for a second rant in this review (and this one is not even about Paddy's, but about people advertising CHIPS overall). WHY do we have to call it chips when they are clearly fries? When I see the word chips, I expect something thin, crispy, fresh. Most of the time, your chip/fries are all thick and not crispy at all. Lets just call it fish and fries. Doesn't that alliteration work better for your purposes anyway? If you are saying that you are giving me chips, then I want chips danggit! We went back the next day because we heard that they had some really good Irish Cream. Yep, it is good. They make it from a recipe similar to what is given to you on a website like Pinterest. But, they want it for $10 per dang shot! WHAT??? For a sip of some stuff you mixed up in the back? Their bread pudding is pretty good, it was only $6. Revisit your pricing structure Paddy. Luckily the weather was nice and we could sit outside since they had a live singer/guitar player who was so loud you had to yell your conversation. Even the servers agreed it was obnoxiously loud. DO NOT go for the food. It is extremely overpriced and awful. $20 for fish and chips? They were good size pieces of fish but the soggy/greasy breading ruined any glimmer this dish had. I was so disappointed in this meal. Oddly enough the server never asked why all my breading was left when she took my plate. The drink prices are fair for restaurant prices but it is way too far out of the way to make it worthwhile. Three stars was a stretch here. read more

My boss and his wife took me here for dinner once, so when my Mom and Sis-N-Law were in town, I thought they might like it as well. It's got a real Irish charm with the decor, and the food is REALLY GOOD! We got the soft pretzel/cheese appetizer and it was DELICIOUS! My mom and I got fish & chips, and my sis-n-law got the shepard's pie. All the food was great, and the best part is they have Smithwicks (my fav beer) on tap. My boyfriend and I are staying at the Chateau Élan for work and decided to eat here for dinner. The first time we went it was SUPER hot (we're from Washington where it's cold most of the time but expected it to be warm/humid here in GA), which I suppose that isn't totally under their control. It's way cheaper and in my opinion, somewhere I'd rather go than Versailles (we went the night before) mostly because it's less snooty and has larger portions. The first night I ordered the shepherds pie and the banana bread drink. I LOVED the pie, so very much, I was in heaven! The drink wasn't something I've ever tasted before but was very delicious. My boyfriend ordered the fish and chips and he said they were really good and a great portion size. Then we ordered the pudding for dessert and that was pretty awesome as well! Overall, I freaking loved this place and if we had one in Washington near me, I know I'd get super fat from having to eat there all the time lol. The second night I thought, why change something that still works? I ordered the exact same thing as night one, but it was way different. The drink had barely any booze in it and you couldn't really taste the pineapple like the first night. It came in a larger cup but had SO much ice in it. I told the waitress it didn't taste the same and that I'd like to try another (I still drank the first). She came back with one that tasted exactly the same, barely any booze. I had one sip and my boyfriend had one sip (to make sure I wasn't crazy) and I didn't drink any more. She never commented on it until she gave us the check, so she still charged us for it even though it tasted like crap. My shepherds pie was very watery and had no flavor! The first night I pretty much did everything BUT lick my plate clean, but this one I only ate half. My boyfriend got the burger but requested bacon on it and cheese (you had to pay extra!) but when he got it, it had barely any cheese and NO bacon. It was super frustrating experiencing a great night and then a crappy one. The first night our waiter was Aaron who was freaking awesome and very attentive. Second night waitress, I don't remember her name. She was very nice but didn't notice things that she should have as working in a restaurant. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and we definitely won't be going back. I'd rather go to the Publix down the road and get something there instead. Strange beyond strange--an authentic Irish pub hidden on the blacklot of a French-influenced winery/hotel chateau in the middle of Georgia some 40 miles outside of Atlanta. The food was decent, the beer was perfect, and the service was Southern with a smile. If this place was anywhere else, I'd be apt to give it a lower rating, but it's such an oasis that one must visit this homage to Ireland just for the sheer novelty of it. Worth a visit. read more

Service was horrible, granted it was a busy Saturday night, but plan your staff accordingly. Our group was celebrating a birthday, we waited over an hour for our dinner. Two orders came out incorrect and had to be redone, my order came out half burnt. When we found someone to fill our water glasses the boy pouring it missed and ice cubes went pouring down my back. I play music here several times a year and I'm always impressed that the servers and bartenders and management make me feel welcome. I've been a patron here as well as a hired gun and no matter what, the service, food and atmosphere are always great! If you're ever visiting the winery, make it a point to stop in and try the pretzel app and a guinness. You won't regret it! read more

More than the food the building is the attraction for me since it was an actual Irish Public House torn down and moved to the Chateau. And I have a very fond memory of singing the Alligator Song with my nephew and his wife there one night. The food, especially the Irish cuisine, has always been good. We have not been back in a while so I had to look at the menu. Sorry to see Bangers And Mash along with Bailey's Irish Creme Mouse gone. But the Fish and Chips are ok, the Cottage Pie and Corned Beef and Cabbage are good. The Bread Pudding is worth the visit. read more

Food was good but our best experience was at the bar. Christina and Megan took such great care of us. My husband and I stayed the weekend at Chateau Elan. It's is really a beautiful place to visit. Although we are not wine drinker we decided to dine the Friday night at Paddy's. They had great live music and the best attentive waitress I have had in a long time. Christina was our waitress Friday's night and she was so awesome. She had great recommendations and was able to keep up with the crowd as it was St. Patrick's weekend. All her customers were happy and was having a great time. We decided out of all the restaurants to dine at the resort we returned to Paddy's the Saturday night. We really enjoyed ourselves and went right back to the bar and had Christina wait on us at the bar. She was very busy but she was attentive to all her customers without a beat. We were there for hours drinking, eating and listening to live music which was really great. If you ever visit or just on the weekend make sure you ask for Christina or Megan they will make sure you are well taken care off. It's comforting to know you have people that love their jobs and shows it. Thank you Christina and all the other staff at Chateau Elan for all you do. We will be back very soon. read more

Really great food and friendly service. I had the Irish Rueben sandwich--top notch. My moms potato soup was the best she's ever had and the Boxty and Bangers and mash were excellent. Even the kids hot dogs were great! This is a little restaurant right across from the French hotel--you turn in to a fancy French winery and wind around just past the hotel and this Irish Pub is on the left. You think you've made a wrong turn to a fancy French place but you haven't. Keep heading towards and just past hotel and its on your left. Side note: restrooms were also clean, a major plus in my book. read more

Has gone down hill since our last visit - will not return ! Took some family for dinner last night. First time in about a year The food had always been good although very pricey- $17 Reuben and $26 Cottage Pie. It was very crowded when we arrived and it appeared that there was a wedding and maybe a conference happening First thing we noticed is that the menu is more limited than before but still a decent selection. Our waitress was efficient but had zero personality and looked like she did not want to be there We ordered drinks - a Guinness , Chardonnay, and a few soft drinks First thing I noticed was that all the drinks came in plastic cups including the Guinness and the Chardonnay - what happened to the nice Guinness pint glass and a real wine glass ? Plus the soft drinks all tasted awful. The food took a very long time and the waitress never said anything . When the meals finally arrived the portions were generous but the quality was average. I assume the new ownership is cutting corners and staff to boost the bottom line. We were not regular customers but we usually stop by a few times a year. We will not be returning again. This place was very overpriced for what you recieved. I came with 3 friends and each one of us left underwhelmed. First off....the. service SUCKED. Our waiter was the most rude , nonchalant, slow waiter I have ever encountered. When he first arrived at the table, he never introduced himself. After taking our orders, it took him almost 30 minutes to bring us our waters. After the food arrived...it was just OK. I had spinach dip that was extremely salty. The Cod had no seasoning or flavor. The only decent item were the french fries . My advice is to ear somewhere else before coming to Chateau Elan because the food and the price isn't worth it. read more

We went for the St Patrick's Day event today. There were 3 disabled people in our vehicle. They had all of the handicap parking blocked off. We had to park a great distance. When we finally got to the pub, we were not greeted by staff but instead had to get information about the event from another customer. After all of this, we just decided to go elsewhere. On the way out, I told an employee to let his boss know that I was going to leave this review on yelp so he became belligerent and argued that they did have handicap parking but pointed to a space that was blocked off because of the tables they had set up and the beer stand. As we continued the forever trek to the car a manager ran after us to point out the same spaces that were obviously not available as they are blocked with tables and such. Then he offered us free tickets for drinks if we would stay but it was too late for us. Besides, We don't drink alcohol. read more

I wasn't very happy with Paddy's. We came here right after going to Chateau Elan Winery for lunch. First off, their lunch selection isn't very good. None of us could really find anything we wanted, but we stayed anyways and got soup and salads. For the price, the salad wasn't all that great. The place was pretty dead, and the service wasn't that great for it not being very busy. When we left, all of us said the lunch was pretty "meh" and that we were not impressed. read more
