This was the worst lunch I ever had. I ordered the steak sandwich medium well. It came to my table pink and red. There was no flavor it actually tasted disgusting. I took two bites and was like hell no. The fries came out warm they weren't crispy. I should have pitch a bitch. But I was tired from working and wasn't in the mood. Thought I wrote a review. Guess not. Been coming to this spot for years when it was originally called The Harbour Inn. We continued frequenting this spot even after new ownership as the location is ideal for the area. We've all had so many cool memories here. Hanging with friends and family, NFL Football Sunday's, St. Patrick's Day after parties. Summer Weekend Afternoon Live Music. Unfortunately Covid put a kibosh on most things and calmed the activities down somewhat. Despite the calmed down atmosphere this spot is still one of our go-to's for the occasional drink. As for the food itself, it always seemed basic and not on par with food options from back in the day. It's apparent that improvements on food are trying to be made, so good luck to them on improving. As for the staff, never any issues there, they've always been on point. Some are longtime employees, so you get to know them over the years. Growing up in the neighborhood has always led me to enjoy things at Paddys. I wont say that everything is amazing here but they deliver on cold beers, strong drinks, and outdoor vibes. I would classify the food as typical bar fare with an occasional special that can be a hit or miss. Personally I am a person who find certain meat and textures off putting so I tend to enjoy more lean proteins. The pork chop in mushroom sauce special wasn't something I'd order again because I found that it had many things running through the meat. The mushroom sauce and tortellini were great and I enjoyed them very much. The Fishermans platter was also a special and I found that the fish was really dry but the shrimp and clam strips were tasty and easy to eat. I love the side salads they offer with dinner because they are plentiful and full of fresh vibrant vegetables. The balsamic is also good. Anytime I see they have mussels on the menu, I usually order them. The mussels (for the most part) are clean and not sandy. The sauces are always tasty and they serve it with some bread which is great to get all the sauce! This review is more of a 3.5 because I cant say they have amazing food but it is great food for drinks and for a casual night out. I wouldn't get too experimental on food but I do love this neighborhood staple. The view of the bridge and water aren't bad either. The staff is always quick and generally nice. read more

Went for the entree here because I usually get sandwiches or finger food. I ordered the chicken parmigiana with spaghetti. I have to say first, the portions were biiig!!! The mozzarella was fresh and the spaghetti was cooked perfectly. When I asked for grated cheese if they would've had fresh grated cheese then this dish would've been amazing. I had the store bought cheese but it didn't take away from the dish. We also had the chicken Marsala. The vegetables were tasty and fresh and the Marsala sauce was very good. A nice cozy place to enjoy with the family and a full bar to sit in as well. During the summer they have a small outdoor seating with amazing views of the Hudson. read more

I've come here a handful of times, and each time I'm hoping for something better but this place always falls short somewhere. The food is decent. It's what you'd expect from a "pub" type of place, maybe slightly lesser quality though. The service is usually alright, but today it was god awful. This was almost a 2 hour production. I give the waiter some sympathy though because he was the only one working the whole outside deck area...but c'mon... The drinks came quick but waiting for everything else was like watching paint dry. Wings (BBQ)- 2/5 the wings were relatively small with not much meat on them. The quality wasn't great but there was a lot of sauce which was nice..getting dry wings just isn't the same. Boom Boom Shrimp Wrap-2/5 the wrap itself wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. Aside from being cold, not even lukewarm the shrimp tasted like it was taken out of a freezer bag sautéed for 30 seconds and thrown into the mix. The sauce was like a mayo base with hot sauce..not what I was expecting and probably wouldn't get again. Chicken Parm Sandwich-3/5 surprisingly pretty decent. I'll admit I really wasn't expecting this to be very good but it was alright. Fries-Literally identical to McDonalds with a little less salt. Not complaining, but not quality steak fries or anything. I love coming here to make a stop for a few drinks and some great bar food ! Been coming here for about 2 years and each time I come I try something new and I'm never disappointed. I love the atmosphere of the bar , always a good game on the television along with a good horse race. This is clearly a local bar where everyone is so kind and welcoming. I've tried the nacho chili cheese and they were delicious. In the summer time or even on a nice day the outdoor seating is a great spot also. The servers are super friendly , the bar tenders are attentive and not to mention the great buy back hospitality. For our last visit this past weekend LENNY was the bartender helping us and all around thumbs up. read more

Leann made my experience so amazing! She was truly professional and wonderful! I walked in and waited at least 20 to 30 minutes without being noticed. Employees walked right past me and seated a few people without even speaking to me. Leann acknowledged me and recommended a nice table with a view of the bridge. She gave a great recommendation on the mac and cheese and the chicken parm. She was so efficient and very pleasant. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family only if they can have Leann as the server. She was more than a server. She treats you like a close friend. An over priced meat market for college age kids. That seems to be all they are concerned with now. The kitchen is disappointing. If you sit down to eat it is a greasy diner feel. Cheap silverware and plates, sparse decor that attempts a fisherman feel that I think went extinct in the 80s. Fishing nets? Yummy drinks!!! First time coming after hearing about it for so long. I went on a Sunday night hoping it wasn't too busy and luckily, it wasn't. For starters, their drink menu has great selections! I was drawn to their Piña Colada which I liked instantly even though I usually don't prefer frozen drinks. My boyfriend had the Miami Vice which he thought was mediocre. Luckily, our bartender came to us saying our next round was on the house from the boss! I was so excited and grateful for that. We both ordered Mango Margaritas which was yummy too. The ambiance was very chill and cool.. although the music could be a bit better lol. After we headed out we went to sit on the ledge by the water with the beautiful view of the Throgs Neck and Whitestone bridge. read more

We had my mother-in-laws 90th birthday lunch/dinner party at Paddy's this past Sunday and it was great. There were 15 of us and the two waiters were wonderful. They were very attentive and were always there to take an order or be of assistance in any way. The food was great too. Very pleased with the service and cuisine. read more

I'm a huge fan of this place. Actually I was a huge fan of it under it's previous ownership and was a little worried about how thing would turn out with its reopening. Turns out, I was very pleasantly surprised. First, I'm almost sure this is the cheapest beer around these parts, and if it's not, then it's the cheapest COLD beer around(not sure what it is with E. Tremont and warm beer). Food is slightly above average for bar food, both in quality and cost. Best burger in the area(sadly this isn't saying much, but it's a good burger)..and the Buffalo Chicken Wrap is amazing. Really haven't had much else other than that, but most everything I see people eating looks pretty good. They change their lunch/dinner specials fairly regularly and are surprisingly varied, if not slightly overpriced though. Now, what I really like about this place is the atmosphere. This is one of those places where you can either be a regular, or not feel uncomfortably just walking in for the first time. Everyone is super friendly and the staff will make an effort to get to know you and remember their loyal customers. Not sure what the deal with the negative comments are about this place so far, I've never experienced or seen any of what was said happening at this place, always seems to be good service all around unless they are insanely packed, which does happen in the evenings and for special events, but hey it's a bar, maybe you shouldn't have had a 10 year old with you. Live music here is great....not on a set schedule, but a pleasant surprise when it happens. I come here often. Unfortunately, this place has changed. I remember it being a mellow, laid back and enjoyable bar for a quiet evening when it was under old management. Now, it has a lot of ruckus and noise. The bouncers are super douche bags. Really? It takes you ten minutes to know I'm 23+ years old? And why the fuck do you make it a 23+ requirement to enter a bar aimed at college kids? So stupid. i don't understand. The food isn't even that good. I had a sandwich when they first opened up and really pissed me off. Oh, don't dare sit down under the awning to have a smoke. They'll reprimand you for that. However, they are selective of when they reprimand you for that because I was there on a Tuesday night and ordered food and they said nothing when my friend smoked under the awning but all of a sudden you want to start causing problems when there are tons of people there? And you also pick on your own staff? Stupid ass bouncers. Maybe it's just that one guy but hey- a man is judged by their company so all the bouncers get the shaft on this one. The bartenders are still cool. I like them. I think the girl bartender is cute. Ummm..... I've tried this place three times now, and boy was I eager for this to be a regular summer watering hole. When I heard the people from Paddy Doherty's, one of my favorite T-neck Irish bars, was opening another spot with outdoor seating on the water I was very intrigued! Unfortunately, my experiences do not come close to that of Paddy Doherty's. First off, as soon as you walk in the set up is awkward and there is no routine in place. Where is the hostess stand? This wouldn't normally be a huge issue for me but what ends up happening is that people stalk the more coveted outdoor tables making for a cramp and tense environment, where it's not 'first come, first serve' but rather who is desperate and obnoxious enough to hover over a table longest. The wait staff doesn't seem to mind though, so they are really to blame for the organized chaos. When finally seated though, the menu has a decent selection and is fairly priced. Again though, the quality AND quantity doesn't come close to their other establishment. Even the tap selection is more sparse. Those things considered, the nice view and a couple of beers is usually all I really need on a pretty summer night but then throw in the curt, unfriendly and incompetent waitstaff who you need to beckon mercilessly to refill a water glass maybe once or ask if you'd like another beer that's been sitting there empty for 15 minutes and you got yourself an unpleasant dining experience. I always tend to give people the benefit of a doubt since I have waited myself and have family members who do so but this is a consistent issue. This place is never that busy to excuse this negligence either. All in all, I find it unlikely that I will ever be able to drag my boyfriend back here with me again. WOW, my first time at this establishment and I was met with an unbelievable surprise,the food,GREAT, the bar ,SUPER CLEAN,and the people SUPER FRIENDLY,and to add (ENTERTAINMENT) RnR band that I never seen that type of performance ,ONLY ON THE BIG STAGE, I think the bands name is BLUEBERRY JAM,also TV monitors all over. Slowest service EVER n although the food was decent 3 hrs for 5 meals is not worth it. My 10 yr ok'd nephew says no tip because waitress didn't check back and it took 30 min for soup/salad. Brother in laws food was cold in the middle and I sent back my steak sandwich because the steak tasted sour. MAYBE I'll give it another chance only because of the view. I went with a friend and we ordered two quesadillas because, according to her, "you can't mess up a quesadilla". Boy was she wrong. We are both home because we felt sick to our stomachs after. I think it was the cheese. Anyway, our waiter was a sweetheart. The bartender wasn't mean but she definitely had something against smiling. She wasn't friendly at all and didn't make us feel welcome. My friend was coughing up a storm because I guess she choked and I asked for water and the bartender said ok and she kept texting and then started mixing drinks. HELLOOOOO LADY! Good food, good drinks nice view! Me and a friend sat outside for a few drinks and some dinner around the time the sun was setting. The reflection of the sun on the Throgs Neck Bridge was so pretty and it was a nice view during dinner. I ordered a few margaritas which were good and strong. We split an order of wings which were also very good - good taste and good quality wings. I ordered the chicken caeser wrap for dinner and it was on par with other restaurants. So while I enjoy having a few drinks here the food is not that great. The limited menu has made this experience worse.how about putting chili, potato skins, bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich's, ribs Or a nice steak on the menu? Now with covid I understand that now because it is the end of the summer this might not be possible ( because of no indoor dining) but maybe if things change this could be an option. Came to Paddy's yesterday as I lived a few blocks away last year, and remember the food being good and a laid back hang out place in the summer with outdoor seating and a nice ocean view, although service was always subpar. Ordered the chicken parm sandwich and it came out so dry with the bread burnt. I never turn food back but i can not eat this and let alone pay for it. I had drinks only and still tipped the waitress. Paddy's has definitely fell off the wagon. If it wasn't for their location i'm sure no one will probably come here. read more
