Fried chicken and biscuits (already dug into)

We really like Jack's. This is a good Irish pub/bar and they do a nice brunch. We have gone a number of times and it is also family friendly (for brunch/lunch we've brought the kids). The staff is friendly and nice, if not necessarily the most attentive (lots of tables and not too many servers, which makes sense given the set up). The food is solid. Filling and homey. The portions are good sizes too and you will definitely leave feeling satisfied and happy. Last time we went, we had the full Irish breakfast, the breakfast nachos (to share), the chicken and biscuits, and the Mexican veggie hash, and scrambled eggs with a side of bacon. The food was good. The nachos were crispy, although the cheese sauce wasn't very cheesy. The full Irish never disappoints. The hash was good, although the slaw on it was kind of discordant with the rest of the flavors. Overall, it's a solid place with a decent price point and we will definitely come back again and again.

Food was great! Upscale bar scene, but a bit loud- but it's a bar! Comfortable atmosphere, excellent service and the pizza was outstanding! The kale salad was average at best, but every other dish and entree was fantastic! Looking forward to going back to try more menu items!

Another nice brunch here! We got the sliders, the eggs, Benny, avocado, toast, and the big burger. The burger was awesome, with a fried egg and hashbrowns. Just delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Service with a smile. Bloody Mary's were great! Love the french fries there!

They have a pizza oven, margarita pizza was great. Beet salad was exceptional. Great beer selection. Had a gin and tonic too. If any criticism i would say the wine needs an upgrade.

The wings were a bit too dressed and the chicken tenders a bit too dry. But I don't go to bars to eat. The main things are the drinks and the service and the ambience, all of which Jack's provides quite well. We came to watch a football game and that's what we got to do. Our server couldn't have been nicer. And the place is fun.

The service for sunday brunch was alittle slow but the food and the expresso martini made up for it

I want to say what a great little find but it's not so little. A nice sized restaurant with many high top tables and some booths. There is a large bar along with a second dining area after the bar. We decided to celebrate St Patrick's day a day early as my "momma didn't raise no fool." No way am I out and about on St Patrick's day. The hostess led us to a high top table in the bar area. Happy Hour is offered Monday - Friday 3 - 6 pm. The smoked wings were juicy, big and nicely smoked. Six wings for $7 on Happy Hour menu. Jack's has a wood fire oven behind the bar where you can watch them prepare the pizza and put in oven. They also smoke the wings in the same oven. There is a short bar with 4 seats in front of the pizza preparation area and oven where you get a front row view. The pizza's coming out of the oven looked exceptionally appetizing. Both my cousin and my husband's cousin have eaten here before so we ordered what they had recommended. The Reuben panini was delicious and huge, cut in three big sections served with well-seasoned French fries. My 8 oz. burger was perfectly cooked per my request, medium. Served on a fluffy brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, onions, bacon and Jack's sauce. Also came with Fries. Our cousins were spot on with their food recommendations. Today was our waiter Ian's first day at the restaurant. He was friendly and at ease taking our order. Ian returned throughout our dinner to check in on us. He brought us napkins without asking and was there right when we finished to see if we needed anything else. You would never have known it was his first day. The restaurant was packed by the time we left, every table and seat taken. So good to see a local restaurant doing well. Can't wait to go back and sit by the oven to watch them making pizza and have those mighty wings again.

Jacks is a really nice bar, I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was inside after visiting on a busy Sunday. They have plenty of TVs and the Knicks game was on so it was a great place to watch the games. They had the brunch menu out that included bottomless mimosas and I believe an entree although I may be wrong. The fried chicken sandwich was pretty good, the service was quick and friendly. I would definitely return if in the area.

Visited with my sister on a quiet Thursday before Christmas weekend and found the atmosphere really welcoming. I loved the pub vibes and was greeted by a friendly waiter who sat us. (My sister also raves about this place so I was excited to try) We had some holiday cocktails snd ordered a fun few things on the menu to try. I opted for the lamb burger (huge portion but delicious) my sister got a large lobster Mac and cheese that I tried it was super rich and they definitely do not skimp on the lobster. Honestly one of the more high quality bar food experiences I have had.

We ordered the porterhouse, creamed spinach, calamari, baked clams, the jumbo baked potato, and some pasta. The porterhouse was perfectly seasoned, and it was enough for three people to share. Whatever sauce the baked clams were doused in, I need that recipe. I used the complementary bread to soak up some of that juice and it was amazing. Their espresso martinis were also really good and strong. The only thing I did not like was the jumbo baked potato. It just felt like there was Velveeta cheese slathered on top, so if there's an item I would pass on, it would be this one. Just get regular mashed potatoes. The service was amazing. The owner came out to meet with us multiple times. Our waiters were very attentive and gave us ample time to order. They literally cut our meat and served it for us. The ambience was really nice. It's your usual steakhouse joint, with dim lighting. However, the best part about this dinner was that they seated us in a private room with one other party. It was very intimate and nice and I don't think I could've asked for better service. The cherry on top was that they came out with limoncello shots to end the night. If you're in the Westchester area, please definitely come check this place out. It is worth the money, time, and effort. You will not be disappointed.

The owner was very gracious and offered us six complementary oysters since we couldn't sit at the bar. The oysters weren't our favorite that evening, the rest of the meal more than made up for it. The rest of the meal was very enjoyable. The crab cake was enormous, the grilled octopus was excellent - my son loved it - and the veal with prosciutto and melted cheese was tasty. The baked potato was huge and cooked perfectly. I ordered a cocktail and they made me one with elderflower which was nice but a little sweet for my taste. My friend's Manhattan was nice and strong. What stood it the most was the hospitality. The owner went out of his way to make sure we had a good experience, and that level of service is sobering we really appreciated. Next time we'll probably make it an adult only happy hour so we can enjoy the bar menu.

However, I'm happy to report that I dined here recently and had a better experience. Since the time of my initial review, La Casa remained in my periphery - mainly because my parents periodically visited and it was a frequent stop of one of my friends who lives in Bronxville. That being said, I was curious to check out La Casa again - and that opportunity came when my mother chose here to celebrate Mother's Day. La Casa is located just off the main commercial strips. The interior is pretty spacious with a bar towards the front of the restaurant and the main dining room split in two sections. The decor is somewhat under-toned with a cool color scheme and tasteful decor. This is in contrast with other Mexican restaurants that tend to go overboard with the kistch and warm colors. I will say the seats look a little tired, they could use some re-upholstering - and were a little lower to the ground than I expected. In addition to the indoor space, they have an outdoor section which was done up very nicely. The brunch menu contained a selection of apps, sides, quesadillas, tacos, and sides. We decided to start by splitting a few apps: brisket and al pastor tacos, a quesadilla, street corn, chips and guac, and more guac with tuna. All the apps were tasty - the biggest standouts for me were the quesadilla and the tacos which were all generously filled and had good flavor. For my main, I got the camarones a la diabla which were shrimp in a red pepper sauce placed atop beans and paired with bok choy. The dish was pretty good - the shrimp could have been a bit snappier, but I appreciate that they de-shelled them and the sauce and beans worked well with them. Dare I say the bok choy was the star of the dish? It had just enough flavor and added a needed green. We opted for dessert, and I got the grilled pineapple which was paired with (per the menu) vanilla ice cream or guanabana sorbet. I wasn't asked to choose, and was served the sorbet. I would have liked to have been given the option, but maybe that's all they had - fwiw the sorbet was good. The pineapple was candied and came as a large, thick ring - definitely needed a knife and fork to cut it up (which they provided); this was a good dish in concept but I think it can be executed better. Service was good, everyone was friendly and efficient. In my experience, service tends to be the weakest component of a meal on a holiday, but they did a great job. Overall, I had a good experience at La Casa. Even though it's not in my backyard, I would definitely return if the opportunity presented itself.

Pop music, pops of black on the walls, TV screens behind and above the bar- so that almost every seat has a good view, a noticeable bar and those wood-slab walls. You know the look. The last time hubs and I were in this space was about 10 yrs ago, when it was Sammy's, so walking into Urban H. and getting hit with their urban-industrial-sports bar feel caught me a little off guard. No offense. Since hubs and I are getting settled into our other home in Westchester, dining out has been our friend. The young ladies here did well. From the moment we walked in until we headed out, everyone was pleasant, welcoming and attentive. We started with the calamari which was tender. Like really tender. Not a rubber band in sight. But where were the tentacles?! Those crispy little tangled things are half the reason hubs and I order calamari and sadly, there wasn't even one. Hubs went with a canned hard lemonade. It was refreshing but it was missing at least a little oomph especially if it's called "hard lemonade". My salmon dinner was beautifully prepared on parsnip puree with sautéed broccoli rabe and a pomegranate sauce. I totally get my dish was going for that savory/sweet mix- but that pomegranate sauce kind of sent my dinner slightly off keel for me. Hubs, loved his pork chop though with sautéed spinach and...white rice.¯\(ツ)/¯. We ordered the "mango" sorbet but it tasted more like lemon and it you had blindfolded me and asked me to tell you the flavor, mango would not have made my first guess. Honestly- Urban H. has more swagger than quiet, screens and a pop playlist that wants you to know it's there. But the service was super pleasant.
